¹Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

¹ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «ای انسان فانی، علیه جوج نبوّت کن و بگو خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: ای جوج، رهبر افسران ماشک و توبال، من علیه تو هستم.

²And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

² من تو را از راهی که می‌روی، برمی‌گردانم و از دورترین نقطهٔ شمال به سوی کوههای اسرائیل می‌آورم.

³And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

³ کمان را از دست چپ و تیر را از دست راستت می‌اندازم.

⁴Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

⁴ تو با سپاهیان و همراهانت در کوههای اسرائیل کشته می‌شوی. اجسادتان را خوراک هر نوع مرغان شکاری و حیوانات وحشی می‌سازم.

⁵Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

⁵ آنها در مزرعه خواهند افتاد. من، خداوند متعال سخن گفته‌ام.

⁶And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

⁶ بر سرزمین ماجوج و مردمانِ کشورهای ساحلی که در آسودگی و امنیّت زندگی می‌کنند، آتش می‌فرستم تا بدانند که من خداوند هستم.

⁷So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

⁷ به این ترتیب، نام مقدّس من در بین قومم، بنی‌اسرائیل معروف و مشهور می‌شود و دیگر نمی‌گذارم که نام قدّوس من بی‌حرمت گردد. آنگاه اقوام جهان خواهند دانست که من خداوند، خدای قدّوس اسرائیل هستم.»

⁸Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

⁸ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «آن روز موعود که درباره‌اش گفتم، فرا می‌رسد.

⁹And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

⁹ مردمی که در شهرهای اسرائیل زندگی می‌کنند بیرون خواهند رفت و سلاحهای رها شده را برای سوخت جمع‌آوری می‌کنند. ایشان با سپرها، کمانها، پیکانها، نیزه‌ها و گرزها آتشی می‌افروزند که هفت سال بسوزد.

¹⁰So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

¹⁰ ایشان به آوردن هیزم از صحرا و چوب از جنگلها نیازی نخواهند داشت، زیرا آتش خود را از اسلحه‌ها برپا خواهند کرد؛ زیرا غارت کنندگان خود را غارت خواهند کرد.»

¹¹And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

¹¹ خداوند ‌فرمود: «پس از آنکه همهٔ اینها به وقوع بپیوندد، در اسرائیل در درّهٔ مسافران که در شرق دریای مرده قرار دارد به جوج و ارتش او گورستانی خواهم داد و همه در آن مدفون می‌گردند. راه مسافران را مسدود خواهد کرد و درّه ارتش جوج نامیده خواهد شد.

¹²And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

¹² مدّت هفت ماه طول خواهد کشید تا مردم اسرائیل همهٔ اجساد را دفن کنند و سرزمین را دوباره پاک کنند.

¹³Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

¹³ همهٔ مردم اسرائیل ایشان، را به خاک خواهند سپرد و در روزی که من جلال خود را آشکار کنم، برای ایشان افتخار آفرین خواهد بود.

¹⁴And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

¹⁴ در پایان مدّت هفت ماه، عدّه‌ای تعیین می‌شوند تا به سراسر کشور اسرائیل بروند و جنازه‌های کسانی را که هنوز باقی مانده‌اند، دفن کنند تا آنجا بکلّی پاک گردد.

¹⁵And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.

¹⁵ هرگاه جستجوکنندگان، استخوان انسانی را ببینند، نشانه‌ای در نزد آن برافرازند تا دفن کنندگان آن را در درّهٔ ارتش جوج دفن کنند.

¹⁶And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

¹⁶ (در نزدیکی آنجا شهری به نام ارتش نامگذاری خواهد شد) و به این ترتیب سرزمین دوباره پاک می‌شود.»

¹⁷And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

¹⁷ خداوند متعال به من گفت: «ای انسان فانی، به همهٔ پرندگان و حیوانات وحشی بگو از اطراف بیایند و از قربانی که برای آنها آماده کرده‌ام، بخورند. جشن بزرگی در کوههای اسرائیل خواهد بود که در آن می‌توانند گوشت بخورند و خون بنوشند.

¹⁸Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

¹⁸ آنها بدن سربازان را خواهند خورد و خون فرمانروایان زمین را خواهند نوشید. همهٔ ایشان مانند قوچها، برّه‌ها یا بُزها و گاوهای نر پروار کُشته خواهند شد.

¹⁹And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

¹⁹ در جشن قربانی که من برای آنها آماده کرده‌ام، آن‌قدر چربی خواهند خورد تا سیر شوند و آن‌قدر خون خواهند نوشید تا مست گردند.

²⁰Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

²⁰ در سفرهٔ من از اسبها و سواران و سربازان و جنگجویان خواهید خورد و سیر خواهید شد.»

²¹And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

²¹ خداوند می‌فرماید: «من جلال خود را در میان ملل قرار خواهم داد و ایشان داوری و دست مرا که بر ایشان است خواهند دید.

²²So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

²² و از آن به بعد، قوم اسرائیل می‌دانند که من، خداوند، خدای ایشان هستم.

²³And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

²³ ملّتها خواهند دانست که قوم اسرائیل به سبب گناه خودشان به اسارت رفتند، زیرا به من خیانت کردند. بنابراین من روی خود را از ایشان پوشاندم و ایشان را به دست دشمنانشان سپردم و همهٔ ایشان با شمشیر کشته شدند.

²⁴According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

²⁴ مطابق ناپاکی‌ها و کجروی‌هایشان با ایشان رفتار کردم و چهرهٔ خود را از ایشان پنهان کردم.»

²⁵Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

²⁵ بنابراین خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «اکنون خاندان یعقوب را کامروا خواهم کرد و به‌خاطر نام مقدّس خودم، به همهٔ قوم اسرائیل رحم خواهم کرد.

²⁶After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

²⁶ هنگامی‌که در سرزمین خود در امنیّت زندگی کنند و کسی نباشد که از او بترسند، آنگاه شرم و خیانتی را که به من ورزیده بودند، فراموش خواهند کرد.

²⁷When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

²⁷ برای اینکه به ملل بسیاری قدّوسیّت خود را نشان دهم، قوم خود را از میان همهٔ کشورهایی که دشمنانشان زندگی می‌کنند، باز خواهند گرداند.

²⁸Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

²⁸ آنگاه قوم من خواهند دانست که من، خداوند، خدای ایشان هستم. ایشان این را خواهند دانست زیرا من ایشان را به اسارت فرستادم و اکنون ایشان را گردآورده‌ام و به سرزمین خودشان بازگرداندم و حتّی یک نفر از ایشان را پشت سر نگذاشتم.» خداوند می‌فرماید: «من روح خود را بر آنها می‌ریزم و دیگر از آنها روی برنمی‌گردانم.»

²⁹Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

²⁹ خداوند می‌فرماید: «من روح خود را بر آنها می‌ریزم و دیگر از آنها روی برنمی‌گردانم.»
