¹Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹ خداوند به من فرمود:

²Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

² «ای انسان فانی، به سرزمین اسرائیل بگو خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: انتهای تمام سرزمین فرا رسیده است.

³Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

³ «اکنون انتهای تو فرا رسیده است، تو خشم مرا احساس خواهی کرد. زیرا من کارهای زشت تو را، برای آنچه که انجام داده‌ای، داوری می‌کنم و بی‌رحمی‌ تو را به سر خودت می‌آورم.

⁴And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

⁴ من تو را نمی‌بخشم و به تو رحم نخواهم کرد. من تو را به‌خاطر کارهای زشتی که انجام داده‌ای، تنبیه می‌کنم. آنگاه خواهی فهمید که من خداوند هستم.»

⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

⁵ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «نگاه کنید، مصیبت پس از مصیبت فرا می‌رسد.

⁶An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

⁶ انتها فرا رسید، فرجام رسید، شما از بین رفتید.

⁷The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

⁷ ای ساکنان سرزمین، سرنوشت بد شما و زمان و روزهای آشوب و نه شادی در کوهستان، فرا رسیده است.

⁸Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

⁸ «بزودی خشم خود را بر شما فرو می‌ریزم و غضب خود را نصیب شما می‌کنم. من شما را طبق کردارتان قضاوت می‌کنم و به‌خاطر همهٔ پلیدیهایتان شما را مجازات می‌کنم.

⁹And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.

⁹ با دلسوزی به شما نمی‌نگرم و رحم نمی‌کنم، بلکه شما را به‌خاطر کردار پلیدتان مجازات خواهم کرد تا بدانید من خداوند هستم که شما را مجازات می‌کنم.»

¹⁰Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

¹⁰ آن روز فرا رسیده، واپسین روز اینجاست. بی‌عدالتی شکوفا گشته، غرور غنچه داده است.

¹¹Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.

¹¹ از شاخهٔ پلیدی، شرارت روییده است. هیچ‌کدام باقی نخواهند ماند، نه ثروت، نه شکوه و نه جلال.

¹²The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹² آن زمان فرا رسیده و آن روز نزدیک می‌شود. خریدار شادی نکند و نه فروشنده سوگواری، زیرا خشم خداوند بر همه فرو خواهد ریخت.

¹³For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

¹³ فروشندگان تا زمانی که زنده باشند به آنچه فروخته‌اند باز نخواهند گشت، زیرا خشم خدا بر همه خواهد بود و پلیدکاران زنده نخواهند ماند.

¹⁴They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹⁴ شیپورها نواخته شده‌اند و همه‌چیز آماده گشته است، امّا کسی به نبرد نمی‌رود، زیرا خشم من بر همهٔ مردم سرزمین قرار گرفته است.

¹⁵The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

¹⁵ در بیرون شمشیر است، در اندرون بیماری و گرسنگی. کسانی‌که در کشتزارها هستند با شمشیر کشته می‌شوند و کسانی‌که در شهر هستند، از گرسنگی خواهند مرد.

¹⁶But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

¹⁶ برخی چون فاخته‌ای که از درّه ترسیده باشد به کوهها فرار خواهند کرد، همه به‌خاطر گناهان خود ناله خواهند کرد.

¹⁷All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

¹⁷ دستهای همه ناتوان می‌گردند و زانوهایشان خواهند لرزید.

¹⁸They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

¹⁸ پلاس می‌پوشند و ترس، ایشان را می‌پوشاند. با سرهای تراشیده، شرم چهره‌شان را فرا می‌گیرد.

¹⁹They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

¹⁹ ایشان نقره و طلای خود را چون زباله در خیابانها می‌ریزند. در روز خشم خداوند، نقره و طلا نمی‌تواند ایشان را نجات دهد و خواسته‌هایشان را برآورده سازد و یا گرسنگی ایشان را برطرف کند و شکمشان را سیر کند. طلا و نقره ایشان را به گناه کشاند.

²⁰As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

²⁰ با جواهراتی که به داشتن آنها افتخار می‌کردند، بُتهای منفور و کثیف ساختند، بنابراین من آنها را از ثروتشان متنفّر می‌سازم.

²¹And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

²¹ خداوند می‌فرماید: «من ثروت آنها را چون غنیمت به دست بیگانگان و همانند غارت به پلیدان جهان خواهم داد و آن را آلوده خواهند ساخت.

²²My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

²² من از اسرائیل روی برخواهم گرداند تا مکان مقدّس مرا آلوده کنند تا دزدان وارد شوند و آن را بی‌حرمت کنند.

²³Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

²³ «زنجیری بسازید، زیرا سرزمین پُر از جنایات خونین است. شهر پر از خشونت است.

²⁴Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

²⁴ من پلیدترین ملّتها را خواهم آورد تا خانه‌های ایشان را تصرّف کنند. من به غرور نیرومندان پایان می‌دهم و مکانهای مقدّس ایشان بی‌حرمت خواهند شد.

²⁵Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

²⁵ هنگامی‌که پریشانی فرا رسد، خواستار آرامش خواهند بود. امّا هرگز آن را نخواهند یافت.

²⁶Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

²⁶ مصیبت پشت مصیبت فرا می‌رسد و شایعه پشت شایعه. ایشان از نبی رؤیا می‌خواهند؛ کاهنان چیزی برای آموزش و بزرگان پندی نخواهند داشت. پادشاه سوگوار و شاهزاده ناامید خواهد شد و مردم از ترس خواهند لرزید. من شما را به‌خاطر کارهایتان مجازات می‌کنم و همان‌گونه که دیگران را قضاوت کردید، شما را قضاوت خواهم کرد. به این ترتیب خواهید دانست که من خداوند هستم.»

²⁷The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

²⁷ پادشاه سوگوار و شاهزاده ناامید خواهد شد و مردم از ترس خواهند لرزید. من شما را به‌خاطر کارهایتان مجازات می‌کنم و همان‌گونه که دیگران را قضاوت کردید، شما را قضاوت خواهم کرد. به این ترتیب خواهید دانست که من خداوند هستم.»
