¹Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

¹ بنی‌اسرائیل دو پادشاهی را که در شرق رود اردن بودند شکست دادند. سرزمینی را که آنها به تصرّف در آوردند عبارت بود از: دشت ارنون، تا کوه حرمون با تمام دشت اردن.

²Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

² یکی از آن دو، سیهون، پادشاه اموریان بود که در حشبون حکومت می‌کرد. قلمرو حکومت او شامل نیمی‌ از سرزمین جلعاد، یعنی عروعیر در کنار وادی ارنون و از وسط آن درّه تا وادی یبوق، که سرحد عمونیان بود.

³And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:

³ همچنین دشت اردن و دریاچهٔ جلیل در جنوب بیت یشموت در شرق دریای مرده تا دامنهٔ کوه فسجه.

⁴And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

⁴ دیگری عوج، پادشاه باشان بود که از بازماندگان رفائیان بود و در عشتاروت و ادرعی حکومت می‌کرد.

⁵And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

⁵ قلمرو سلطنت او از کوه حرمون، سلخه و تمام باشان تا سرحد جشوریان و معکیان، نصف جلعاد تا سرحد سیهون، پادشاهی حشبون وسعت داشت.

⁶Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

⁶ موسی، خادم خداوند و بنی‌اسرائیل آنها را شکست دادند و موسی، سرزمین آنها را به طایفهٔ رئوبین و جاد و نیمی‌ از طایفهٔ منسی داد.

⁷And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

⁷ پادشاهان دیگری را که یوشع و بنی‌اسرائیل شکست دادند در غرب رود اردن بودند. سرزمین آنها از بعل جاد، در دشت لبنان تا کوه حالق در جنوب نزدیک اَدوم وسعت داشت و یوشع آن را بین طایفه‌های بنی‌اسرائیل تقسیم کرد.

⁸In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

⁸ این قسمت شامل کوهستان، کوهپایه‌های غربی، دشت اردن و دامنه‌های آن، دشتهای شرقی و صحرای جنوب نگب می‌گردید. مردمانی که در آن سرزمین زندگی می‌کردند حِتّیان، اموریان، کنعانیان، فرزیان، حویان و یبوسیان بودند. پادشاهانی را که قوم اسرائیل شکست دادند، عبارت بودند از: پادشاه اریحا، پادشاه عای (که نزدیک بیت‌ئیل است)، پادشاه اورشلیم، پادشاه حبرون، پادشاه یرموت، پادشاه لاخیش، پادشاه عجلون، پادشاه جازر، پادشاه دبیر، پادشاه جادر، پادشاه حُرما، پادشاه عراد، پادشاه لبنه، پادشاه عدُلام، پادشاه مقیده، پادشاه بیت‌ئیل، پادشاه تفوح، پادشاه حافر، پادشاه عفیق، پادشاه لشارون، پادشاه مادون، پادشاه حاصور، پادشاه شمرون مرون، پادشاه اکشاف، پادشاه تعناک، پادشاه مجدو، پادشاه قادش، پادشاه یقنعام در کرمل، پادشاه دور در نافت دور، پادشاه اقوام در جلیل و پادشاه ترصه. در مجموع سی و یک پادشاه بودند.

⁹The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;

¹⁷The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;

¹⁸The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;

¹⁹The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;

²⁰The king of Shimronmeron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

²¹The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

²²The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;

²³The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;

²⁴The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.
