¹Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

¹ در آن روز دبوره و باراق پسر ابینوعم این سرود را خواندند:

²Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

² زمانی که رهبران اسرائیل پیشقدم گردیدند و مردم با اشتیاق داوطلب شدند. خدا را شکر گویید.

³Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

³ ای پادشاهان بشنوید و ای فرمانروایان گوش کنید! من برای خداوند می‌سرایم و برای خداوند خدای اسرائیل سرود می‌خوانم.

⁴LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.

⁴ خداوندا، وقتی از اَدوم بیرون آمدی، هنگامی‌که از صحرای اَدوم گذشتی، زمین لرزید، از آسمان باران بارید و ابرها باران خود را فرو ریختند.

⁵The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

⁵ کوهها از حضور خداوندِ کوه سینا لرزیدند و از حضور خداوند قوم اسرائیل، به لرزه درآمدند.

⁶In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.

⁶ در زمان شمجر پسر عنات و در دوران یاعیل، جاده‌ها متروک شدند و مسافران از راههای پر پیچ و خم گذشتند.

⁷The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

⁷ شهرهای اسرائیل رو به ویرانی ‌رفتند، تا که تو ای دبوره، به عنوان مادر اسرائیل آمدی.

⁸They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?

⁸ چون اسرائیل، خدایان تازه را پیروی نمود، جنگ به دروازهٔ شهرها رسید. در بین چهل هزار مرد اسرائیلی، هیچ سپر و نیزه‌ای یافت نمی‌شد.

⁹My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.

⁹ دل من با رهبران اسرائیل است، که خود را با میل و رغبت وقف مردم کردند. خدا را شکر کنید.

¹⁰Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

¹⁰ ای‌ کسانی‌که بر الاغهای سفید سوار هستید و بر فرشهای گران‌قیمت می‌نشینید، و شما ای کسانی‌که با پای پیاده راه می‌روید،

¹¹They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

¹¹ صدای هیاهو را در کنار چاهها بشنوید! که از پیروزی خداوند می‌گوید؛ پیروزی مردم اسرائیل! سپس قوم خدا به طرف دروازه‌های شهر حرکت کردند.

¹²Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

¹² بیدار شو ای دبوره، بیدار شو! بیدار شو، بیدار شو و سرود بخوان، بیدار شو ای باراق، ای پسر ابینوعم، اسیران را به اسارت ببر،

¹³Then he made him that remaineth have dominion over the nobles among the people: the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.

¹³ آنگاه آنانی که باقیمانده بودند، از کوه پایین آمدند و نزد رهبران خود رفتند و قوم خداوند به نزد او آمدند و برای جنگ آماده شدند.

¹⁴Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

¹⁴ مردان از افرایم به دنبال طایفهٔ بنیامین، به طرف درّه آمدند، فرماندهان از ماخیر و رهبران از زبولون،

¹⁵And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.

¹⁵ رهبران یساکار با دبوره و باراق به دشت آمدند. امّا در بین طایفهٔ رئوبین نفاق بود و شک داشتند که بیایند.

¹⁶Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

¹⁶ چرا در بین آغلها درنگ نمودی؟ برای اینکه نوای نی را بشنوی؟ بلی، در بین طایفهٔ رئوبین نفاق بود. آنها نتوانستند تصمیم بگیرند که بیایند

¹⁷Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

¹⁷ جلعاد در آن طرف رود اردن ماند. چرا دان پیش کشتی‌ها ماند؟ اشیر در ساحل آرام نشست و در بندرها ساکن شد.

¹⁸Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

¹⁸ مردم طایفه‌های زبولون و نفتالی زندگی خود را، در میدان جنگ به خطر انداختند.

¹⁹The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

¹⁹ پادشاهان آمدند و جنگیدند. پادشاهان کنعان در تعنک و چشمه‌های مجدو جنگ کردند، امّا غنیمتی از نقره به دست نیاوردند.

²⁰They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

²⁰ ستارگان از آسمان جنگیدند. هنگامی‌که از این سو تا آن سوی آسمان را می‌پیمودند، آنها علیه سیسرا جنگیدند.

²¹The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

²¹ وادی خروشان قیشون، آنها را در ربود، پیشروی وادی قیشون. ای جان من، قوی باش.

²²Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

²² آنگاه صدای بلند چهار نعل سُم اسبان، همانند صدای پای دشمنان شنیده شد.

²³Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

²³ فرشتهٔ خداوند می‌گوید که میروز را لعنت کنید. به ساکنان آن لعنت بفرستید، زیرا آنها برای کمک به خداوند نیامدند و او را در جنگ با دشمنانش تنها گذاشتند.

²⁴Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

²⁴ خوشا به حال یاعیل، زن حابر قینی، او از تمام زنان چادرنشین، زیادتر برکت بیابد.

²⁵He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

²⁵ سیسرا آب خواست و یاعیل به او شیر داد، و دوغ را در جام شاهانه به او داد.

²⁶She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

²⁶ سپس میخ چادر و چکشِ کارگر را گرفت و در شقیقهٔ سیسرا فرو برد. سرش را شکست و شقیقه‌اش را شکافت.

²⁷At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

²⁷ او پیش پایش خَم شد و افتاد. بلی، در پیش پایش، در جایی که خَم شد، افتاد و مُرد.

²⁸The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

²⁸ مادر سیسرا از پنجره نگاه می‌کرد و منتظر آمدن او بود. می‌گفت: «چرا ارابهٔ او تأخیر کرده؟ چرا صدای چرخهای ارابهٔ او نمی‌آید؟»

²⁹Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,

²⁹ ندیمه‌های حکیم وی به او جواب دادند، امّا او سخنان خود را تکرار می‌کرد و می‌گفت:

³⁰Have they not sped? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colors, a prey of divers colors of needlework, of divers colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?

³⁰ «حتماً غنیمت بسیار گرفته است و وقت زیادی لازم دارد تا آن را تقسیم کند. یک یا دو دختر برای هر سرباز، سیسرا برای خود لباسهای گران‌قیمت و برای ملکه، شال گردنهای نفیس خواهد آورد.» خداوندا، همهٔ دشمنانت همچنین هلاک گردند. امّا دوستدارانت، مانند آفتاب با قدرتِ تمام بدرخشند. بعد از آن، مدّت چهل سال آرامش در آن سرزمین برقرار بود.

³¹So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

³¹ خداوندا، همهٔ دشمنانت همچنین هلاک گردند. امّا دوستدارانت، مانند آفتاب با قدرتِ تمام بدرخشند. بعد از آن، مدّت چهل سال آرامش در آن سرزمین برقرار بود.
