¹The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

¹ در دوران سلطنت یوتام، آحاز و حزقیا، پادشاهان یهودا، خداوند این پیام را دربارهٔ سامره و اورشلیم در رؤیا به میکای مورشتی داد.

²Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the LORD from his holy temple.

² ای تمام ملّتهای جهان بشنوید! ای جمیع ساکنان روی زمین گوش بدهید! خداوند متعال از بارگاه آسمانی خود برضد شما شهادت می‌دهد.

³For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

³ خداوند از بارگاه مقدّس خود بیرون می‌آید و بر فراز کوهها می‌خرامد.

⁴And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

⁴ کوهها در زیر قدمهایش مانند موم آب می‌شوند و همچون سیل از بلندیها به دشتها سرازیر می‌گردند.

⁵For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

⁵ تمام اینها به‌خاطر گناهان قوم اسرائیل روی خواهند داد. چرا مردم اسرائیل و سامره بت‌پرست شده‌اند؟ گناه از کیست؟ گناه از خود مردم سامره و اورشلیم است.

⁶Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

⁶ خداوند می‌فرماید: «من سامره را به توده‌ای خاک و به جا‌یی که در آن تاکهای انگور غرس می‌کنند، تبدیل می‌کنم. سنگهای آن را به درّه می‌ریزم و بنیادش را نمایان می‌کنم.

⁷And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

⁷ تمام بُتهایش ذره‌ذره خواهند شد و تمام چیزهایی که با مزد فاحشه‌گری در پرستشگاه به دست آمده‌اند در آتش خواهند سوخت. دشمنان، هدایای بت‌پرستان را تاراج خواهند کرد و آنها را به همان ترتیب در جای دیگر به کار می‌برند.»

⁸Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

⁸ میکا گفت: «به این سبب من می‌گریم و سوگواری می‌کنم. با پای برهنه و تن عریان راه می‌روم و همچون شغالان از غم زوزه می‌کشم و مانند شترمرغها شیون می‌کنم،

⁹For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

⁹ زیرا زخم مردم سامره درمان ناپذیر است و مردم یهودا هم بزودی به این بلا دچار می‌شوند. ویرانی به دروازه‌های اورشلیم، یعنی مسکن قوم من رسیده است.»

¹⁰Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

¹⁰ این خبر را به شهر جت نرسانید. نگذارید کسی گریه شما را بشنود. ای اهل بیت عفره، از فرط غم و شرمندگی در خاک بغلطید.

¹¹Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

¹¹ ساکنان شافیر عریان و سرافکنده تبعید می‌شوند. مردم صانان جرأت نمی‌کنند که از شهر خارج شوند. هنگامی‌که صدای شیون و سوگواری از بیت ایصل به گوشتان برسد، بدانید که آنجا خالی از خطر دشمن نیست.

¹²For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

¹² اهالی ماروت با نگرانی در آرزوی رسیدن روزهای بهتری هستند، زیرا خداوند مصیبت را به نزدیک دروازه‌های اورشلیم آورده است.

¹³O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

¹³ ای ساکنان لاکیش، اسبها را به ارّابه‌ها ببندید و فرار کنید، زیرا شما پیش از همه، از گناهان مردم اسرائیل پیروی کردید و مردم اورشلیم را به راه گناه کشاندید.

¹⁴Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

¹⁴ اکنون ای مردم یهودا، با شهر مورَشَت جت وداع کنید، زیرا برای پادشاهان اسرائیل از شهر اکزیب کمکی نمی‌رسد.

¹⁵Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

¹⁵ ای مردم مریشه، خداوند شما را به دست دشمنان تسلیم می‌کند. آنها شهر شما را متصرّف می‌شوند و رهبران اسرائیل به غار عدُلام پناه می‌برند. در غم فرزندان محبوبتان گریه کنید. از غصّه سرهایتان را مانند سر کرکس بتراشید، زیرا دشمنان شما فرزندانتان را به سرزمینهای دور به اسارت می‌برند.

¹⁶Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

¹⁶ در غم فرزندان محبوبتان گریه کنید. از غصّه سرهایتان را مانند سر کرکس بتراشید، زیرا دشمنان شما فرزندانتان را به سرزمینهای دور به اسارت می‌برند.
