¹And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities.

¹ رهبران در شهر اورشلیم ساکن شدند و بقیّهٔ مردم قرعه انداختند که از هر ده خانواده، یکی را برای سکونت در شهر مقدّس اورشلیم برگزینند و بقیّهٔ در شهرها و روستاهای دیگر ساکن شوند.

²And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.

² مردم کسانی را که برای زندگی در اورشلیم داوطلب می‌شدند، می‌ستودند.

³Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants.

³ در شهرها و روستاهای دیگر اسرائیل، کاهنان، کارگران معبد بزرگ و بازماندگان نسل خدمتکاران سلیمان در املاک و روستاهای خود زندگی می‌کردند. فهرست زیر اسامی افراد مقدّم طایفهٔ یهودا می‌باشد که در اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند.

⁴And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez;

⁴ اعضای طایفهٔ یهودا: عتایا پسر عُزیا پسر زکریا، زکریا پسر امریا، امریا پسر شفطیا، شفطیا پسر مهللئیل و مهللئیل از نسل فارص بود.

⁵And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.

⁵ معسیا پسر باروک، باروک پسر کلخوره، کلخوره پسر حزیا، حزیا پسر عدایا، عدایا پسر یویاریب، یویاریب پسر زکریا و زکریا پسر شیلونی بود.

⁶All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.

⁶ از نسل فارص چهارصد و شصت و هشت نفر که مردان بارزی بودند، در اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند.

⁷And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah.

⁷ از طایفهٔ بنیامین: سلو پسر مشلام، مشلام پسر یوعید، یوعید پسر فدایا، فدایا پسر قولایا، قولایا پسر معسیا، معسیا پسر ایتیئیل، ایتیئیل پسر اشعیا بود.

⁸And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.

⁸ جبای و سلای از اقوام نزدیک سلو بودند. کلاً نهصد و بیست و هشت نفر از طایفهٔ بنیامین در اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند.

⁹And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city.

⁹ یوئیل پسر زکری سرپرست، یهودا پسر هسنواه مقام دوم رهبری شهر را داشت.

¹⁰Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin.

¹⁰ کاهنان: یدعیا پسر یویاریب، یاکین.

¹¹Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God.

¹¹ سرایا، سرایا پسر حلقیا، حلقیا پسر مشلام، مشلام پسر صادوق، صادوق پسر مرایوت و مرایوت پسر اخیطوب کاهن اعظم بود.

¹²And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah.

¹² روی هم رفته هشتصد و بیست و دو نفر از این خاندان در معبد بزرگ خدمت می‌کردند. عدایا، عدایا پسر یروحام، یروحام پسر فللیا، فللیا پسر امصی، امصی پسر زکریا، زکریا پسر فشحور و فشحور پسر ملکیا بود.

¹³And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

¹³ افراد این خاندان دویست و چهل و دو نفر بودند و از سران خاندانها محسوب می‌شدند. عمشیسای پسر عزرئیل، عزرئیل پسر اخزای، اخزای پسر مشلیموت، مشلیموت پسر امیر بود.

¹⁴And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men.

¹⁴ اعضای این خاندان صد و بیست و هشت نفر از جنگجویان برجسته بودند. افسر برجستهٔ ایشان زبدیئیل پسر هجدولیم بود.

¹⁵Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

¹⁵ لاویان: شمعیا، شمعیا پسر حشوب، حشوب پسر عزریقام، عزریقام پسر حشبیا، حشبیا پسر بونی بود.

¹⁶And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God.

¹⁶ شبتای و یوزاباد، از رهبران لاویان و مسئول انجام کارهای خارج از معبد بزرگ بودند.

¹⁷And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

¹⁷ متنیا پسر میکا، میکا پسر زبدی و زبدی پسر آساف بود. او سرایندگان معبد بزرگ را در نیایش و سپاسگزاری رهبری می‌کرد. بقبقیا دستیار متنیا بود. عبدا پسر شموع، شموع پسر جِلال و جِلال پسر یدوتون بود.

¹⁸All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.

¹⁸ دویست و هشتاد و چهار نفر لاوی در شهر مقدّس اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند.

¹⁹Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two.

¹⁹ نگهبانان معبد بزرگ: عقوب، طلمون و بستگان ایشان صد و هفتاد و دو نفر بودند.

²⁰And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

²⁰ سایر اسرائیلی‌ها، کاهنان و لاویان در املاک نیاکان خود در شهرهای یهودا زندگی می‌کردند.

²¹But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims.

²¹ کارگران معبد بزرگ در بخشی از اورشلیم که عوفل نام داشت زندگی می‌کردند. صیحا و جشفا سرپرستان ایشان بودند.

²²The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.

²² سرپرست لاویانی که در اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند، عزی پسر بانی، بانی پسر حشبیا، حشبیا پسر میکا و میکا از خاندان آساف بودند که مسئول موسیقی در معبد بزرگ بودند.

²³For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day.

²³ جهت رهبری موسیقی معبد بزرگ توسط طایفه‌‌های مختلف، مقرّرات سلطنتی می‌باشد.

²⁴And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.

²⁴ فتحیا پسر مشیزبئیل، از خاندان زارح و طایفهٔ یهودا بود و نمایندهٔ مردم اسرائیل در دربار پارس بود.

²⁵And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof,

²⁵ بسیاری از مردم در شهرهای نزدیک کشتزارهایشان زندگی می‌کردند. افرادی که از طایفهٔ یهودا بودند در روستاهای قریت‌اربع، دیبون، یقبصیئیل و روستاهای نزدیک زندگی می‌کردند.

²⁶And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethphelet,

²⁶ آنان همچنین در شهرهای یشوع، مولاده، بیت فالط،

²⁷And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in the villages thereof,

²⁷ حصر شوعال، بئرشبع، و روستاهای آنها،

²⁸And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof,

²⁸ صقلغ، مکونه و روستاهای آنها،

²⁹And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth,

²⁹ عین رِمون، صرعه، یرموت،

³⁰Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom.

³⁰ زانوح، عدلام، و روستاهای آنها، لاکیش و کشتزارهای نزدیک آن، عزیقه و روستاهای آن ساکن بودند. به این ترتیب مردم یهودا در منطقه‌ای در فاصلهٔ بئرشبع در جنوب و درّهٔ هنوم در شمال زندگی می‌کردند.

³¹The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their villages.

³¹ مردم طایفهٔ بنیامین در این شهرها ساکن شدند: جبع، مکماش، عیا و بیت‌ئیل و روستاهای نزدیک آنها،

³²And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

³² عناتوت، نوب، عنینه،

³³Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

³³ حاصور، رامه، حتایم،

³⁴Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

³⁴ حادید، صبوعیم، نبلاط

³⁵Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

³⁵ لود، اونو و درّهٔ صنعتگران. گروهی از لاویان که در سرزمین یهودا زندگی کرده بودند، به سرزمین بنیامین فرستاده شدند تا در آنجا ساکن شوند.

³⁶And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.

³⁶ گروهی از لاویان که در سرزمین یهودا زندگی کرده بودند، به سرزمین بنیامین فرستاده شدند تا در آنجا ساکن شوند.
