¹Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

¹ ای جان من خداوند را ستایش کن! ای تمام وجود من، نام مقدّس او را سپاس بخوان.

²Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

² ای جان من، خداوند را ستایش کن! و احسانهای او را فراموش نکن.

³Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

³ او تمام گناهان مرا می‌بخشد و همهٔ مرضهایم را شفا می‌دهد.

⁴Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

⁴ مرا از دست مرگ می‌رهاند و با مهر و محبّت پایدار خود، مرا برکت می‌دهد.

⁵Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

⁵ مرا از نعمات خود بهره‌مند می‌کند، تا مانند عقاب، جوان و قوی بمانم.

⁶The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

⁶ خداوند، عدالت را برای مظلومان بجا می‌آورد و از حق ایشان دفاع می‌کند.

⁷He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

⁷ او ارادهٔ خود را به موسی آشکار ساخت و قوم اسرائیل، معجزات او را دیدند.

⁸The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

⁸ خداوند، رحیم و مهربان است. دیرغضب و بسیار رئوف.

⁹He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

⁹ کینه به دل نمی‌گیرد و خشم او دیر نمی‌پاید.

¹⁰He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

¹⁰ ما را بر حسب گناهانمان مجازات نمی‌کند و طبق خطاهایمان ما را تنبیه نمی‌نماید.

¹¹For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

¹¹ زیرا به اندازه‌ای که آسمان از زمین بلندتر است، به همان‌‌قدر محبّت پایدار خداوند بر آنانی که او را گرامی می‌دارند، عظیم است.

¹²As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

¹² به اندازه‌ای که مشرق از مغرب دور است، به همان‌‌قدر گناهان ما را از ما دور می‌سازد.

¹³Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

¹³ همان‌‌قدر که پدر با فرزندان خود مهربان است، همان‌طور نیز خداوند با کسانی‌که او را گرامی می‌دارند، مهربان است.

¹⁴For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

¹⁴ زیرا می‌‌داند که ما چگونه سرشته شده‌ایم و به یاد می‌آورد که ما از خاک هستیم!

¹⁵As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

¹⁵ عمر آدمی همچون علف صحراست. مانند گل وحشی می‌شکفد.

¹⁶For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

¹⁶ وقتی باد بر آن بوزد، از بین می‌رود و اثری از آن برجای نمی‌ماند.

¹⁷But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

¹⁷ امّا برای آنانی که خداوند را گرامی می‌دارند و پیمان خود را با او حفظ می‌کنند و اوامر او را بجا می‌آورند، محبّت او همیشه پایدار است و لطف او بر تمام نسلهای ایشان.

¹⁸To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

¹⁸ خداوند تخت خود را در آسمانها برقرار کرده و از آنجا بر همهٔ عالم حکمرانی می‌کند.

¹⁹The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

¹⁹ ای فرشتگان نیرومند که فرمانبردار او هستید و اوامر او را بجا می‌آورید، او را ستایش کنید!

²⁰Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

²⁰ ای لشکریان آسمانی، ای خدمتگزارانی که ارادهٔ خداوند را انجام می‌دهید، او را ستایش کنید! ای همهٔ مخلوقات خداوند، او را در سراسر قلمرو او بستایید. ای جان من خداوند را ستایش کن!

²¹Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

²¹ ای همهٔ مخلوقات خداوند، او را در سراسر قلمرو او بستایید. ای جان من خداوند را ستایش کن!

²²Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
