¹The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

¹ احمقان در دل خود می‌گویند: «خدا وجود ندارد.» اینها اشخاصی فاسد هستند، کارهای زشت می‌کنند. و کار نیک از آنها سر نمی‌زند.

²God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

² خدا از آسمان بر مردم روی زمین می‌نگرد تا ببیند آیا شخص فهمیده‌ای وجود دارد که طالب خدا باشد.

³Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

³ امّا همه گمراه و یکسان فاسد شده‌اند، حتّی یک نفر نیکوکار هم در بین آنها نیست.

⁴Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

⁴ خدا می‌پرسد: «آیا این بدکاران شعور ندارند که بندگان مرا مانند نان می‌خورند و مرا به یاد نمی‌آورند؟»

⁵There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

⁵ امّا آنها به وحشت خواهند افتاد به طوری که قبلاً هرگز آن‌طور وحشتزده نشده بودند. خدا استخوانهای دشمنانش را پراکنده خواهد کرد. آنان رسوا خواهند گشت، چون خدا آنها را طرد نموده است. ای کاش پیروزی برای بنی‌اسرائیل از صهیون بیاید، وقتی خداوند قوم خود را از اسارت آزاد کند، یعقوب شاد خواهد شد و بنی‌اسرائیل شادی خواهد كرد.

⁶Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

⁶ ای کاش پیروزی برای بنی‌اسرائیل از صهیون بیاید، وقتی خداوند قوم خود را از اسارت آزاد کند، یعقوب شاد خواهد شد و بنی‌اسرائیل شادی خواهد كرد.
