¹In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

¹ در آن زمان برای خاندان داوود و اهالی اورشلیم چشمه‌ای جاری می‌شود که آنها را از تمام گناهان و ناپاکی‌ها پاک می‌سازد.

²And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

² خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «در آن روز نام بُتها را طوری در سرزمین اسرائیل از بین می‌برم که دیگر کسی آنها را به یاد نیاورد. همچنین آن سرزمین را از انبیای دروغین و ارواح پلید پاک می‌سازم.

³And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

³ اگر کسی به دروغ نبوّت کند پدر و مادرش به او خواهند گفت: 'تو نباید زنده بمانی، زیرا تو به نام خداوند به دروغ نبوّت می‌کنی.' و هنگامی‌که او نبوّت می‌کند، پدر و مادرش او را با نیزه خواهند کشت.

⁴And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

⁴ در آن روز انبیای دروغی از رؤیاهای خود شرمنده خواهند شد و دیگر برای فریب دادن مردم لباس انبیا را نخواهند پوشید.

⁵But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

⁵ بلکه هر کدام خواهند گفت: 'من نبی نیستم. من یک دهقان هستم و از جوانی پیشهٔ من کشاورزی بوده است.'

⁶And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

⁶ اگر کسی از آنها بپرسد: 'پس این زخمهایی که در بدن داری به‌خاطر چیست؟' جواب می‌دهند: 'اینها جراحاتی هستند که دوستانم به من وارد کرده‌اند.'»

⁷Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

⁷ خداوند متعال می‌فرماید: «ای شمشیر برضد چوپان من برخیز. برضد آن کسانی‌که برای من کار می‌کند! شبان را بزن تا گوسفندان پراکنده شوند. من قوم خود را خواهم زد.

⁸And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

⁸ دو سوم قوم هلاک می‌شوند و از بین می‌روند و یک سوم آنها زنده می‌مانند. اینها را از بین آتش می‌گذرانم تا همان‌طور که طلا و نقره به وسیلهٔ آتش پاک و خالص می‌شوند، آنها هم پاک و خالص گردند. آنها نام مرا یاد می‌کنند و من آنها را به حضور خود می‌پذیرم و می‌گویم: 'اینها قوم من هستند.' و آنها می‌گویند: 'خداوند، خدای ماست.'»

⁹And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

⁹ اینها را از بین آتش می‌گذرانم تا همان‌طور که طلا و نقره به وسیلهٔ آتش پاک و خالص می‌شوند، آنها هم پاک و خالص گردند. آنها نام مرا یاد می‌کنند و من آنها را به حضور خود می‌پذیرم و می‌گویم: 'اینها قوم من هستند.' و آنها می‌گویند: 'خداوند، خدای ماست.'»
