¹Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

¹În ce priveşte darurile duhovniceşti, fraţilor, nu voiesc să fiţi în necunoştinţă.

²Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

²Cînd eraţi păgîni, ştiţi că vă duceaţi la idolii cei muţi, după cum eraţi călăuziţi.

³Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

³De aceea vă spun că nimeni, dacă vorbeşte prin Duhul lui Dumnezeu, nu zice: ,,Isus să fie anatema!`` Şi nimeni nu poate zice: ,,Isus este Domnul``, decît prin Duhul Sfînt.

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

⁴Sînt felurite daruri, dar este acelaş Duh;

⁵And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

⁵sînt felurite slujbe, dar este acelaş Domn;

⁶And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

⁶sînt felurite lucrări, dar este acelaş Dumnezeu, care lucrează totul în toţi.

⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

⁷Şi fiecăruia i se dă arătarea Duhului spre folosul altora.

⁸For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

⁸De pildă, unuia îi este dat, prin Duhul, să vorbească despre înţelepciune; altuia, să vorbească despre cunoştinţă, datorită aceluiaş Duh;

⁹To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

⁹altuia credinţa, prin acelaş Duh; altuia, darul tămăduirilor, prin acelaş Duh;

¹⁰To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

¹⁰altuia, puterea să facă minuni; altuia, proorocia; altuia, deosebirea duhurilor; altuia, felurite limbi; şi altuia, tîlmăcirea limbilor.

¹¹But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

¹¹Dar toate aceste lucruri le face unul şi acelaş Duh, care dă fiecăruia în parte, cum voieşte.

¹²For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

¹²Căci, după cum trupul este unul şi are multe mădulare, şi după cum toate mădularele trupului, măcar că sînt mai multe, sînt un singur trup, -tot aşa este şi Hristos.

¹³For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

¹³Noi toţi, în adevăr, am fost botezaţi de un singur Duh, ca să alcătuim un singur trup, fie Iudei, fie Greci, fie robi, fie slobozi; şi toţi am fost adăpaţi dintr'un singur Duh.

¹⁴For the body is not one member, but many.

¹⁴Astfel, trupul nu este un singur mădular, ci mai multe.

¹⁵If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁵Dacă piciorul ar zice: ,,Fiindcă nu sînt mînă, nu sînt din trup``, -nu este pentru aceasta din trup?

¹⁶And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

¹⁶Şi dacă urechea ar zice: ,,Fiindcă nu sînt ochi, nu sînt din trup`` -nu este pentru aceasta din trup?

¹⁷If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

¹⁷Dacă tot trupul ar fi ochi, unde ar fi auzul? Dacă totul ar fi auz, unde ar fi mirosul?

¹⁸But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

¹⁸Acum dar Dumnezeu a pus mădularele în trup, pe fiecare aşa cum a voit El.

¹⁹And if they were all one member, where were the body?

¹⁹Dacă toate ar fi un singur mădular, unde ar fi trupul?

²⁰But now are they many members, yet but one body.

²⁰Fapt este că sînt mai multe mădulare, dar un singur trup.

²¹And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

²¹Ochiul nu poate zice mînii: ,,N'am trebuinţă de tine``; nici capul nu poate zice picioarelor: ,,N'am trebuinţă de voi.``

²²Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

²²Ba mai mult, mădularele trupului, cari par mai slabe, sînt de neapărată trebuinţă.

²³And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

²³Şi părţile trupului, cari par vrednice de mai puţină cinste, le îmbrăcăm cu mai multă podoabă. Aşa că părţile mai puţin frumoase ale trupului nostru capătă mai multă frumuseţă,

²⁴For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

²⁴pe cînd cele frumoase n'au nevoie să fie împodobite. Dumnezeu a întocmit trupul în aşa fel ca să dea mai multă cinste mădularelor lipsite de cinste:

²⁵That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

²⁵pentru ca să nu fie nici o desbinare în trup: ci mădularele să îngrijească deopotrivă unele de altele.

²⁶And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

²⁶Şi dacă sufere un mădular, toate mădularele sufăr împreună cu el; dacă este preţuit un mădular, toate mădularele se bucură împreună cu el.

²⁷Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

²⁷Voi sînteţi trupul lui Hristos, şi fiecare, în parte, mădularele lui.

²⁸And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

²⁸Şi Dumnezeu a rînduit în Biserică, întîi, apostoli; al doilea, prooroci; al treilea, învăţători; apoi, pe ceice au darul minunilor; apoi pe cei ce au darul tămăduirilor, ajutorărilor, cîrmuirilor, şi vorbirii în felurite limbi.

²⁹Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

²⁹Oare toţi sînt apostoli? Toţi sînt prooroci? Toţi sînt învăţători? Toţi sînt făcători de minuni?

³⁰Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

³⁰Toţi au darul tămăduirilor? Toţi vorbesc în alte limbi? Toţi tălmăcesc?

³¹But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

³¹Umblaţi dar după darurile cele mai bune. Şi vă voi arăta o cale nespus mai bună.
