¹Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

¹Încolo, fraţilor, rugaţivă pentru noi ca, Cuvîntul Domnului să se răspîndească şi să fie proslăvit cum este la voi,

²And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

²şi să fim izbăviţi de oamenii nechibzuiţi şi răi; căci nu toţi au credinţa.

³But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

³Credincios este Domnul: El vă va întări şi vă va păzi de cel rău.

⁴And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

⁴Cu privire la voi, avem încredere în Domnul că faceţi şi veţi face ce vă poruncim.

⁵And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

⁵Domnul să vă îndrepte inimile spre dragostea lui Dumnezeu şi spre răbdarea lui Hristos!

⁶Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

⁶În Numele Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, vă poruncim, fraţilor, să vă depărtaţi de orice frate, care trăieşte în neorînduială, şi nu după învăţăturile, pe cari le-aţi primit dela noi.

⁷For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

⁷Voi înşivă ştiţi ce trebuie să faceţi ca să ne urmaţi; căci noi n'am trăit în neorînduială, între voi.

⁸Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

⁸N'am mîncat de pomană pînea nimănui; ci, lucrînd şi ostenindu-ne, am muncit zi şi noapte, ca să nu fim povară nimănui dintre voi.

⁹Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

⁹Nu că n'am fi avut dreptul acesta, dar am vrut să vă dăm în noi înşine o pildă vrednică de urmat.

¹⁰For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

¹⁰Căci, cînd eram la voi, vă spuneam lămurit: ,,Cine nu vrea să lucreze, nici să nu mănînce.``

¹¹For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

¹¹Auzim însă că unii dintre voi trăiesc în neorînduială, nu lucrează nimic, ci se ţin de nimicuri.

¹²Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

¹²Îndemnăm pe oamenii aceştia şi -i sfătuim, în Domnul nostru Isus Hristos, să-şi mănînce pînea lucrînd în linişte.

¹³But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

¹³Voi, fraţilor, să nu osteniţi în facerea binelui.

¹⁴And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁴Şi dacă n'ascultă cineva ce spunem noi în această epistolă, însemnaţi-vi -l, şi să n'aveţi nici un fel de legături cu el, ca să -i fie ruşine.

¹⁵Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

¹⁵Să nu -l socotiţi ca pe un vrăjmaş, ci să -l mustraţi ca pe un frate.

¹⁶Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

¹⁶Însuş Domnul păcii să vă dea totdeauna pacea în orice fel. Domnul să fie cu voi cu toţi!

¹⁷The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

¹⁷Urarea de sănătate este scrisă cu mîna mea: Pavel. Acesta este semnul în fiecare epistolă; aşa scriu eu.
