¹Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹Pavel, apostol al lui Isus Hristos, prin voia lui Dumnezeu, către sfinţii cari sînt în Efes şi credincioşii în Hristos Isus:

²Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

²Har şi pace dela Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, şi dela Domnul Isus Hristos.

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

³Binecuvîntat să fie Dumnezeu, Tatăl Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, care ne -a binecuvîntat cu tot felul de binecuvîntări duhovniceşti, în locurile cereşti, în Hristos.

⁴According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

⁴În El, Dumnezeu ne -a ales înainte de întemeierea lumii, ca să fim sfinţi şi fără prihană înaintea Lui, dupăce, în dragostea Lui,

⁵Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

⁵ne -a rînduit mai dinainte să fim înfiaţi prin Isus Hristos, după buna plăcere a voiei Sale,

⁶To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

⁶spre lauda slavei harului Său, pe care ni l -a dat în Prea Iubitul Lui.

⁷In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

⁷În El avem răscumpărarea, prin sîngele Lui, iertarea păcatelor, după bogăţiile harului Său,

⁸Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

⁸pe care l -a răspîndit din belşug peste noi, prin orice fel de înţelepciune şi de pricepere;

⁹Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

⁹căci a binevoit să ne descopere taina voiei Sale, după planul pe care -l alcătuise în Sine însuş,

¹⁰That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

¹⁰ca să -l aducă la îndeplinire la plinirea vremilor, spre a-Şi uni iarăş într'unul în Hristos, toate lucrurile: cele din ceruri, şi cele de pe pămînt.

¹¹In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

¹¹În El am fost făcuţi şi moştenitori, fiind rînduiţi mai dinainte, după hotărîrea Aceluia, care face toate după sfatul voiei Sale,

¹²That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

¹²ca să slujim de laudă slavei Sale, noi, cari mai dinainte am nădăjduit în Hristos.

¹³In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

¹³Şi voi, după ce aţi auzit cuvîntul adevărului (Evanghelia mîntuirii voastre), aţi crezut în El, şi aţi fost pecetluiţi cu Duhul Sfînt, care fusese făgăduit,

¹⁴Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

¹⁴şi care este o arvună a moştenirii noastre, pentru răscumpărarea celor cîştigaţi de Dumnezeu, spre lauda slavei Lui.

¹⁵Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

¹⁵De aceea şi eu, de cînd am auzit despre credinţa în Domnul Isus care este în voi, şi despre dragostea voastră pentru toţi sfinţii,

¹⁶Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

¹⁶nu încetez să aduc mulţămiri pentru voi, cînd vă pomenesc în rugăciunile mele.

¹⁷That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

¹⁷Şi mă rog ca Dumnezeul Domnului nostru Isus Hristos, Tatăl slavei, să vă dea un duh de înţelepciune şi de descoperire, în cunoaşterea Lui,

¹⁸The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

¹⁸şi să vă lumineze ochii inimii, ca să pricepeţi care este nădejdea chemării Lui, care este bogăţia slavei moştenirii Lui în sfinţi,

¹⁹And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

¹⁹şi care este faţă de noi, credincioşii, nemărginita mărime a puterii Sale, după lucrarea puterii tăriei Lui,

²⁰Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

²⁰pe care a desfăşurat -o în Hristos, prin faptul că L -a înviat din morţi, şi L -a pus să şadă la dreapta Sa, în locurile cereşti,

²¹Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

²¹mai pe sus de orice domnie, de orice stăpînire, de orice putere, de orice dregătorie şi de orice nume, care se poate numi, nu numai în veacul acesta, ci şi în cel viitor.

²²And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

²²El I -a pus totul supt picioare, şi L -a dat căpetenie peste toate lucrurile, Bisericii,

²³Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

²³care este trupul Lui, plinătatea Celui ce plineşte totul în toţi.
