¹Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹Domnul a zis lui Moise: ,,Du-te la Faraon, şi spune -i: ,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeul Evreilor: ,Lasă pe poporul Meu să plece, ca să-Mi slujească.

²For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

²Dacă nu vrei să -l laşi să plece, şi dacă -l mai opreşti,

³Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

³iată, mîna Domnului va fi peste turmele tale de pe cîmp; peste cai, peste măgari, peste cămile, peste boi şi peste oi; şi anume va fi o ciumă foarte mare.

⁴And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

⁴Dar Domnul va face deosebire între turmele lui Israel şi turmele Egiptenilor, aşa că nu va pieri nimic din tot ce este al copiilor lui Israel.``

⁵And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

⁵Domnul a hotărît vremea, şi a zis: ,,Mîne, va face Domnul lucrul acesta în ţară.``

⁶And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

⁶Şi Domnul a făcut aşa, chiar de a doua zi. Toate turmele Egiptenilor au perit, dar n'a perit nici o vită din turmele copiilor lui Israel.

⁷And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

⁷Faraon a trimes să vadă ce se întîmplase: şi iată că nici o vită din turmele lui Israel nu pierise. Dar inima lui Faraon s'a împietrit, şi n'a lăsat pe popor să plece.

⁸And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

⁸Domnul a zis lui Moise şi lui Aaron: ,,Umpleţi-vă mînile cu cenuşă din cuptor, şi Moise s'o arunce spre cer, subt ochii lui Faraon.

⁹And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁹Ea se va preface într'o ţărînă, care va acoperi toată ţara Egiptului; şi va da naştere, în toată ţara Egiptului, pe oameni şi pe dobitoace, la nişte bube pricinuite de nişte beşici ferbinţi.``

¹⁰And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

¹⁰Ei au luat cenuşă din cuptor, şi s'au înfăţişat înaintea lui Faraon; Moise a aruncat -o spre cer, şi ea a dat naştere, pe oameni şi pe dobitoace, la nişte bube pricinuite de nişte beşici ferbinţi.

¹¹And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

¹¹Vrăjitorii nu s'au putut arăta înaintea lui Moise, din pricina bubelor; căci bubele erau pe vrăjitori, ca şi pe toţi Egiptenii.``

¹²And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

¹²Domnul a împietrit inima lui Faraon, şi Faraon n'a ascultat de Moise şi de Aaron, după cum spusese Domnul lui Moise.

¹³And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹³Domnul a zis lui Moise: ,,Scoală-te dis de dimineaţă, du-te înaintea lui Faraon, şi spune -i: ,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeul Evreilor: ,Lasă pe poporul Meu să plece, ca să-Mi slujească.

¹⁴For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

¹⁴Fiindcă, de data aceasta, am să trimet toate urgiile Mele împotriva inimii tale, împotriva slujitorilor tăi şi împotriva poporului tău, ca să ştii că nimeni nu este ca Mine pe tot pămîntul.

¹⁵For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

¹⁵Dacă Mi-aş fi întins mîna, şi te-aş fi lovit cu ciumă, pe tine şi pe poporul tău, ai fi pierit de pe pămînt.

¹⁶And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

¹⁶Dar te-am lăsat să rămîi în picioare, ca să vezi puterea Mea, şi Numele Meu să fie vestit în tot pămîntul.

¹⁷As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

¹⁷Dacă te mai ridici împotriva poporului Meu, şi dacă nu -l laşi să plece,

¹⁸Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

¹⁸iată, mîne, la ceasul acesta, voi face să bată o piatră aşa de mare, cum n'a mai fost în Egipt, din ziua întemeierii lui şi pînă azi.

¹⁹Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

¹⁹Pune-ţi dar la adăpost turmele şi tot ce ai pe cîmp. Piatra are să bată pe toţi oamenii şi toate vitele de pe cîmp, cari nu vor fi intrat în case; şi vor peri.``

²⁰He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

²⁰Aceia dintre slujitorii lui Faraon, cari s'au temut de Cuvîntul Domnului, şi-au adunat în case robii şi turmele.

²¹And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

²¹Dar cei ce nu şi-au pus la inimă Cuvîntul Domnului, şi-au lăsat robii şi turmele pe cîmp.

²²And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

²²Domnul a zis lui Moise: ,,Întinde-ţi mîna spre cer; şi are să bată piatra în toată ţara Egiptului pe oameni, pe vite, şi pe toată iarba de pe cîmp în ţara Egiptului!``

²³And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

²³Moise şi -a întins toiagul spre cer; şi Domnul a trimes tunete şi piatră, de cădea foc pe pămînt. Domnul a făcut să bată piatra peste ţara Egiptului.

²⁴So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

²⁴A bătut piatra, şi focul se amesteca cu piatra; piatra era aşa de mare încît nu mai bătuse piatră ca aceea în toată ţara Egiptului de cînd este el locuit de oameni.

²⁵And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

²⁵Piatra a nimicit, în toată ţara Egiptului, tot ce era pe cîmp, dela oameni pînă la dobitoace; piatra a nimicit şi toată iarba de pe cîmp, şi a frînt toţi copacii de pe cîmp.

²⁶Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

²⁶Numai în ţinutul Gosen, unde erau copiii lui Israel, n'a bătut piatra,

²⁷And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

²⁷Faraon a trimes să cheme pe Moise şi pe Aaron, şi le -a zis: ,,De data aceasta, am păcătuit; Domnul are dreptate, iar eu şi poporul meu sîntem vinovaţi.

²⁸Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

²⁸Rugaţi-vă Domnului, ca să nu mai fie tunete şi piatră; şi vă voi lăsa să plecaţi, şi nu veţi mai fi opriţi.``

²⁹And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

²⁹Moise i -a zis: ,,Cînd voi eşi din cetate, voi ridica mînile spre Domnul, tunetele vor înceta şi nu va mai bate piatra, ca să ştii că al Domnului este pămîntul!

³⁰But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

³⁰Dar ştiu că tu şi slujitorii tăi tot nu vă veţi teme de Domnul Dumnezeu.``

³¹And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

³¹Inul şi orzul se prăpădiseră, pentrucă orzul tocmai dăduse în spic, iar inul era în floare;

³²But the wheat and the rye were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

³²grîul şi ovăzul nu se stricaseră, pentru că erau tîrzii.

³³And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

³³Moise a plecat dela Faraon, şi a eşit afară din cetate; şi -a ridicat mînile spre Domnul, tunetele şi piatra au încetat, şi n'a mai căzut ploaia pe pămînt.

³⁴And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

³⁴Faraon, văzînd că ploaia, piatra şi tunetele încetaseră, n'a contenit să păcătuiască şi şi -a împietrit inima, el şi slujitorii lui.

³⁵And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

³⁵Lui Faraon i s'a împietrit inima şi n'a lăsat pe copiii lui Israel să plece, după cum spusese Domnul prin Moise.
