¹The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

¹Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

²Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;

²,,Fiul omului, întoarce-ţi faţa spre copiii lui Amon, şi prooroceşte împotriva lor!

³And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;

³Spune copiilor lui Amon: ,,Ascultaţi Cuvîntul Domnului, Dumnezeu! Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,Pentrucă ai zis: ,,Ha! Ha!`` sfîntului Meu Locaş, cînd era pîngărit, ţării lui Israel, cînd era pustiită, şi casei lui Iuda, cînd se ducea în robie,

⁴Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

⁴de aceea, iată, te dau în stăpînirea fiilor Răsăritului; ei îşi vor aşeza staulele în mijlocul tău şi îşi vor face locuinţele în tine; îţi vor mînca roadele, şi îţi vor bea laptele.

⁵And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

⁵Voi face din Raba un ocol de cămile, şi din ţara copiilor lui Amon o stînă de oi, ca să ştiţi că Eu sînt Domnul!

⁶For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

⁶Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,,Pentrucă ai bătut din mîni, şi ai dat din picior, pentrucă te-ai bucurat în chip batjocuritor şi din adîncul sufletului de ţara lui Israel,

⁷Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

⁷de aceea, iată că Îmi întind mîna peste tine, şi te dau pradă neamurilor; te şterg din mijlocul popoarelor, te scot din numărul ţărilor, şi te nimicesc. Şi vei şti că Eu sînt Domnul!``

⁸Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen;

⁸,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,Pentrucă Moabul şi Seirul au zis: ,Iată, casa lui Iuda a ajuns ca toate neamurile!`

⁹Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,

⁹De aceea, deschid ţinutul Moabului din spre cetăţi, dinspre cetăţile lui dela hotare, cari sînt podoaba ţării şi anume: Bet-Ieşimotul, Baal-Meonul şi Chiriataim,

¹⁰Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.

¹⁰îl deschid şi -l dau în stăpînire fiilor Răsăritului împreună cu ţara Amoniţilor, ca să nu mai fie pomeniţi printre neamuri copiii lui Amon.

¹¹And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

¹¹Îmi voi împlini judecăţile împotriva Moabului! Şi vor şti că Eu sînt Domnul.``

¹²Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

¹²Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,,Pentrucă Edomul s'a dedat la răzbunare faţă de casa lui Iuda, pentrucă s'a făcut vinovat şi s'a răzbunat pe ea,

¹³Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

¹³de aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,,Îmi întind mîna împotriva Edomului, îi voi nimici cu desăvîrşire oamenii şi vitele, îl voi preface într'un pustiu, dela Teman pînă la Dedan; vor cădea loviţi de sabie.

¹⁴And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

¹⁴Îmi voi răzbuna pe Edom prin poporul Meu Israel. El va face Edomului după mînia şi urgia Mea; ca să vadă răzbunarea Mea, zice Domnul, Dumnezeu.``

¹⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

¹⁵,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,Pentrucă Filistenii s'au dedat la răzbunare, pentrucă s'au răzbunat în chip batjocoritor şi din adîncul sufletului, voind să nimicească totul, în ura lor străveche,

¹⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

¹⁶aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,,Iată că Îmi întind mîna împotriva Filistenilor, nimicesc cu desăvîrşire pe Cheretiţi, şi prăpădesc tot ce a mai rămas pe coasta mării,

¹⁷And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

¹⁷Mă voi năpusti cu mare răzbunare asupra lor, pedepsindu -i cu urgie. Şi vor şti că Eu sînt Domnul, cînd Îmi voi răzbuna pe ei.``
