¹The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

¹Mîna Domnului a venit peste mine, şi m'a luat în Duhul Domnului, şi m'a pus în mijlocul unei văi pline de oase.

²And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

²M'a făcut să trec pe lîngă ele, de jur împrejur, şi iată că erau foarte multe pe faţa văiei, şi erau uscate de tot.

³And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

³El mi -a zis: ,,Fiul omului, vor putea oare oasele acestea să învieze?`` Eu am răspuns: ,,Doamne, Dumnezeule, tu ştii lucrul acesta!``

⁴Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

⁴El mi -a zis: ,,Prooroceşte despre oasele acestea, şi spune-le: ,Oase uscate, ascultaţi cuvîntul Domnului!

⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

⁵Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu către oasele acestea: ,Iată că voi face să intre în voi un duh, şi veţi învia!

⁶And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

⁶Vă voi da vine, voi face să crească pe voi carne, vă voi acoperi cu piele, voi pune duh în voi, şi veţi învia. Şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul.``

⁷So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

⁷Am proorocit cum mi se poruncise. Şi pe cînd prooroceam, s'a făcut un vuiet, şi iată că s -a făcut o mişcare, şi oasele s'au apropiat unele de altele!

⁸And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

⁸M-am uitat, şi iată că le-au venit vine, carnea a crescut, şi le -a acoperit pielea pe deasupra; dar nu era încă duh în ele.

⁹Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

⁹El mi -a zis: ,,Prooroceşte, şi vorbeşte duhului! Prooroceşte, fiul omului, şi zi duhului: ,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: ,Duhule, vino din cele patru vînturi, suflă peste morţii aceştia, ca să învieze!`

¹⁰So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

¹⁰Am proorocit, cum mi se poruncise. Şi a intrat duhul în ei, şi au înviat, şi au stătut pe picioare: era o oaste mare, foarte mare la număr.

¹¹Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

¹¹El mi -a zis: ,,Fiul omului, oasele acestea sînt toată casa lui Israel. Iată că ei zic: ,Ni s'au uscat oasele, ni s'a dus nădejdea; sîntem pierduţi!``

¹²Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

¹²Deaceea, prooroceşte, şi spune-le: ,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: ,,Iată, vă voi deschide mormintele, vă voi scoate din mormintele voastre, poporul Meu, şi vă voi aduce iarăş în ţara lui Israel.

¹³And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

¹³Şi veţi şti că Eu sînt Domnul, cînd vă voi deschide mormintele, şi vă voi scoate din mormintele voastre, poporul Meu!

¹⁴And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

¹⁴Voi pune Duhul Meu în voi, şi veţi trăi; vă voi aşeza iarăş în ţara voastră, şi veţi şti că Eu, Domnul, am vorbit şi am făcut, zice Domnul.``

¹⁵The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

¹⁵Cuvîntul Domnului mi -a vorbit astfel:

¹⁶Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

¹⁶,,Fiul omului, ia o bucată de lemn, şi scrie pe ea: ,Pentru Iuda şi pentru copiii lui Israel, cari sînt tovarăşii lui.` Ia apoi o altă bucată de lemn, şi scrie pe ea: ,,Pentru Iosif, lemnul lui Efraim, şi pentru toată casa lui Israel, care este tovarăşa lui.``

¹⁷And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

¹⁷După aceea, împreună-le una cu alta, într'o singură bucată, aşa încît să fie una în mîna ta.

¹⁸And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

¹⁸Şi cînd îţi vor zice copiii poporului tău: ,,Nu vrei să ne lămureşti ce înseamnă lucrul acesta?``

¹⁹Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

¹⁹să le răspunzi: ,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeu: ,Iată că voi lua toiagul de lemn al lui Iosif, care este în mîna lui Efraim, şi al seminţiilor lui Israel cari -i sînt tovarăşe, le voi uni cu toiagul lui Iuda, şi voi face un singur lemn, aşa că vor fi una în mîna Mea.``

²⁰And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

²⁰Toiegele de lemn, pe cari vei scrie, să le ţii astfel în mîna ta, supt ochii lor.

²¹And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

²¹Şi să le spui: ,,Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeu: ,Iată, voi lua pe copiii lui Israel din mijlocul neamurilor la cari s'au dus, îi voi strînge din toate părţile, şi -i voi aduce înapoi în ţara lor.

²²And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

²²Voi face din ei un singur neam în ţară, pe munţii lui Israel; toţi vor avea un singur împărat, şi nu vor mai fi două neamuri, nici nu vor mai fi împărţiţi în două împărăţii.

²³Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

²³Nici nu se vor mai spurca, prin idolii lor, cu urîciunile lor, şi cu toate fărădelegile lor. Îi voi scoate din toate abaterile cu cari au păcătuit, şi -i voi curăţi; ei vor fi poporul Meu, şi Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor.

²⁴And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

²⁴Robul Meu David va fi împărat peste ei, şi toţi vor avea un singur păstor. Vor urma poruncile Mele, vor păzi legile mele şi le vor împlini.

²⁵And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

²⁵Vor locui iarăş în ţara, pe care am dat -o robului Meu Iacov, şi pe care au locuit -o şi părinţii voştri. Da, vor locui în ea, ei, copiii lor, şi copiii copiilor lor, pe vecie, şi Robul Meu David va fi voivodul lor în veci.

²⁶Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

²⁶Voi încheia cu ei un legămînt de pace, care va fi un legămînt vecinic cu ei; îi voi sădi şi -i voi înmulţi, şi voi pune locaşul Meu cel sfînt în mijlocul lor pentru totdeauna.

²⁷My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

²⁷Locuinţa Mea va fi între ei; Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor, şi ei vor fi poporul Meu.

²⁸And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

²⁸Şi neamurile vor şti că Eu sînt Domnul, care sfinţeşte pe Israel, cînd Locaşul Meu cel sfînt va fi pentru totdeauna în mijlocul lor.``
