¹The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

¹Cuvîntul Domnului, spus lui Osea, fiul lui Beeri, pe vremea lui Ozia, Iotam, Ahaz, Ezechia, împăraţii lui Iuda, şi pe vremea lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Ioas, împăratul lui Israel.

²The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.

²Întîia dată cînd a vorbit Domnul către Osea, Domnul a zis lui Osea: ,,Du-te, şi ia-ţi o nevastă curvă şi copii din curvie; căci ţara a săvîrşit o mare curvie, părăsind pe Domnul!``

³So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

³El s'a dus, şi a luat pe Gomera, fiica lui Diblaim. Ea a zămislit şi i -a născut un fiu.

⁴And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

⁴Şi Domnul i -a zis: ,,Pune -i numele Izreel; căci peste puţină vreme, voi pedepsi casa lui Iehu, pentru sîngele vărsat la Izreel, şi voi pune capăt domniei lui peste casa lui Israel.

⁵And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.

⁵În ziua aceea, voi sfărîma arcul lui Israel în valea Izreel.``

⁶And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.

⁶Ea a zămislit din nou, şi a născut o fată. Şi Domnul a zis lui Osea: ,,Pune -i numele Lo-Ruhama (Cea fără îndurare); căci nu voi mai avea milă de casa lui Israel, n'o voi mai ierta!

⁷But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

⁷Dar voi avea milă de casa lui Iuda, şi -i voi izbăvi prin Domnul, Dumnezeul lor; dar nu -i voi izbăvi nici prin arc, nici prin sabie, nici prin lupte, nici prin cai, nici prin călăreţi.``

⁸Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

⁸Ea a înţercat pe Lo-Ruhama; apoi iar a zămislit şi a născut un fiu.

⁹Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

⁹Şi Domnul a zis: ,,Pune -i numele Lo-Ami (Nu -i poporul meu); căci voi nu sînteţi poporul Meu, şi Eu nu voi fi Dumnezeul vostru.``

¹⁰Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

¹⁰,,Totuş numărul copiilor lui Israel va fi ca nisipul mării, care nu se poate nici măsura, nici număra; şi de unde li se zicea: ,Nu sînteţi poporul Meu,` li se va zice: ,Copiii Dumnezeului Celui viu!``

¹¹Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

¹¹Atunci copiii lui Iuda şi copiii lui Israel se vor strînge la un loc, îşi vor pune o singură căpetenie, şi vor ieşi din ţară; căci mare va fi ziua lui Izreel.
