¹And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

¹Apoi o Odraslă va ieşi din tulpina lui Isai, şi un Vlăstar va da din rădăcinile lui.

²And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

²Duhul Domnului Se va odihni peste El, duh de înţelepciune şi de pricepere, duh de sfat şi de tărie, duh de cunoştinţă şi de frică de Domnul.

³And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

³Plăcerea lui va fi frica de Domnul; nu va judeca după înfăţişare, nici nu va hotărî după cele auzite,

⁴But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

⁴ci va judeca pe cei săraci cu dreptate, şi va hotărî cu nepărtinire asupra nenorociţilor ţării; va lovi pămîntul cu toiagul cuvîntului Lui, şi cu suflarea buzelor Lui va omorî pe cel rău.

⁵And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

⁵Neprihănirea va fi brîul coapselor Sale, şi credincioşia brîul mijlocului Său.

⁶The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁶Atunci lupul va locui împreună cu mielul, şi pardosul se va culca împreună cu iedul; viţelul, puiul de leu, şi vitele îngrăşate, vor fi împreună, şi le va mîna un copilaş;

⁷And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

⁷vaca şi ursoaica vor paşte la un loc, şi puii lor se vor culca împreună. Leul va mînca paie ca boul,

⁸And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

⁸pruncul de ţîţă se va juca la gura bortei năpîrcii, şi copilul înţărcat va băga mîna în vizunia basilicului.

⁹They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

⁹Nu se va face nici un rău şi nici o pagubă pe tot muntele Meu cel sfînt; căci pămîntul va fi plin de cunoştinţa Domnului, ca fundul mării de apele cari -l acopăr.

¹⁰And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

¹⁰În ziua aceea, Vlăstarul lui Isai va fi ca un steag pentru popoare; neamurile se vor întoarce la El, şi slava va fi locuinţa Lui.

¹¹And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹¹În acelaş timp, Domnul Îşi va întinde mîna a doua oară, ca să răscumpere rămăşiţa poporului Său, risipit în Asiria şi în Egipt, în Patros şi în Etiopia, la Elam, la Şinear şi la Hamat, şi în ostroavele mării.

¹²And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

¹²El va înălţa un steag pentru neamuri, va strînge pe surghiuniţii lui Israel, şi va aduna pe cei risipiţi ai lui Iuda, de la cele patru capete ale pămîntului.

¹³The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

¹³Pizma lui Efraim va înceta, şi vrăjmaşii lui Iuda vor fi nimiciţi; Efraim nu va mai fi gelos pe Iuda, şi Iuda nu va mai fi vrăjmaş lui Efraim,

¹⁴But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

¹⁴ci vor sbura pe umărul Filistenilor la apus, şi vor jăfui împreună pe fiii Răsăritului. Edom şi Moab vor fi prada mînilor lor, şi fiii lui Amon le vor fi supuşi.

¹⁵And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.

¹⁵Domnul va seca limba mării Egiptului, Îşi va ridica mîna asupra Rîului în mînia Lui, îl va împărţi în şapte pîraie, aşa că îl vor putea trece încălţaţi.

¹⁶And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁶Şi va fi un drum pentru rămăşiţa poporului Său, care va mai rămînea în Asiria, cum a fost pentru Israel, în ziua cînd a ieşit din ţara Egiptului.
