¹Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

¹,,Scoală-te, luminează-te! Căci lumina ta vine, şi slava Domnului răsare peste tine.

²For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

²Căci iată, întunerecul acopere pămîntul, şi negură mare popoarele; dar peste tine răsare Domnul, şi slava Lui se arată peste tine.

³And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

³Neamuri vor umbla în lumina ta, şi împăraţi în strălucirea razelor tale.

⁴Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

⁴Ridică-ţi ochii împrejur, şi priveşte: toţi se strîng şi vin spre tine! Fiii tăi vin de departe, şi fiicele tale sînt purtate pe braţe.

⁵Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

⁵Cînd vei vedea aceste lucruri, vei tresări de bucurie, şi îţi va bate inima şi se va lărgi, căci bogăţiile mării se vor întoarce spre tine, şi vistieriile neamurilor vor veni la tine.

⁶The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

⁶Vei fi acoperit de o mulţime de cămile, de dromadere din Madian şi Efa; vor veni toţi din Seba, aducînd aur şi tămîie, şi vor vesti laudele Domnului.

⁷All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

⁷Toate turmele Chedarului se vor aduna la tine, berbecii din Nebaiot vor fi în slujba ta; se vor sui pe altarul Meu ca jertfă plăcută Mie, şi casa slavei Mele o voi face şi mai slăvită.

⁸Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

⁸Cine sînt aceia cari sboară ca nişte nori, ca nişte porumbei spre porumbarul lor?

⁹Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

⁹Căci, pe Mine Mă aşteaptă ostroavele, şi corăbiile din Tarsis sînt în frunte, ca să aducă înapoi de departe pe copiii tăi, cu argintul şi aurul lor, pentru Numele Domnului, Dumnezeului tău, pentru Numele Sfîntului lui Israel, care te proslăveşte.

¹⁰And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

¹⁰Străinii îţi vor zidi zidurile, şi împăraţii lor îţi vor sluji; căci te-am lovit în mînia Mea, dar, în îndurarea Mea, am milă de tine.

¹¹Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

¹¹Porţile tale vor sta vecinic deschise, nu vor fi închise nici zi nici noapte, ca să lase să intre la tine bogăţia neamurilor, şi împăraţii lor cu alaiul lor.

¹²For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

¹²Căci neamul şi împărăţia cari nu-ţi vor sluji, vor pieri, şi neamurile acelea vor fi în totul nimicite.

¹³The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

¹³Slava Libanului va veni la tine, chiparosul, ulmul şi merişorul (cimişirul), cu toţii laolaltă, ca să împodobească locul sfîntului Meu locaş, căci Eu voi proslăvi locul unde se odihnesc picioarele Mele.

¹⁴The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁴Fiii asupritorilor tăi vor veni plecaţi înaintea ta, şi toţi ceice te dispreţuiau se vor închina la picioarele tale; şi te vor numi ,Cetatea Domnului,` ,Sionul Sfîntului lui Israel.`

¹⁵Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

¹⁵De unde erai părăsită şi urîtă, şi nimeni nu trecea prin tine, te voi face o podoabă vecinică, o pricină de bucurie pentru oameni din neam în neam.

¹⁶Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁶Vei suge laptele neamurilor, vei suge ţiţa împăraţilor; şi vei şti astfel că Eu sînt Domnul, Mîntuitorul tău, Răscumpărătorul tău, Puternicul lui Iacov.

¹⁷For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

¹⁷În loc de aramă voi aduce aur, în loc de fier voi aduce argint, în loc de lemn, aramă, şi în loc de pietre, fier. Voi face ca pacea să domnească peste tine, şi să stăpînească dreptatea.

¹⁸Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

¹⁸Nu se va mai auzi vorbindu-se de sîlnicie în ţara ta, nici de pustiire şi prăpăd în ţinutul tău, ci vei numi zidurile tale ,Mîntuire`, şi porţile tale ,Laudă`.

¹⁹The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

¹⁹Nu soarele îţi va mai sluji ca lumină ziua, nici luna nu te va mai lumina cu lumina ei; ci Domnul va fi Lumina ta pe vecie, şi Dumnezeul tău va fi slava ta.

²⁰Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

²⁰Soarele tău nu va mai asfinţi, şi luna ta nu se va mai întuneca; căci Domnul va fi Lumina ta pe vecie, şi zilele suferinţei tale se vor sfîrşi.

²¹Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

²¹Nu vor mai fi decît oameni neprihăniţi în poporul tău: ei vor stăpîni ţara pe vecie, ca o odraslă sădită de Mine, lucrarea mînilor Mele, ca să slujească spre slava Mea.

²²A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

²²Cel mai mic se va face o mie, şi cel mai neînsemnat un neam puternic. Eu, Domnul, voi grăbi aceste lucruri, la vremea lor.``
