¹And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,

¹Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi lui Aaron, şi le -a zis:

²Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

²,,Vorbiţi copiilor lui Israel, şi spuneţi-le: ,Iată dobitoacele pe cari le veţi mînca dintre toate dobitoacele depe pămînt.

³Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

³Să mîncaţi orice dobitoc care are unghia despicată, copita despărţită şi rumegă.

⁴Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁴Dar să nu mîncaţi din cele ce rumegă numai, sau cari au numai unghia despicată. Astfel, să nu mîncaţi cămila, care rumegă, dar n'are unghia despicată: s'o priviţi ca necurată.

⁵And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁵Să nu mîncaţi iepurele de casă, care rumegă, dar n'are unghia despicată: să -l priviţi ca necurat.

⁶And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.

⁶Să nu mîncaţi iepurele, care rumegă, dar n'are unghia despicată: să -l priviţi ca necurat.

⁷And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.

⁷Să nu mîncaţi porcul, care are unghia despicată şi copita despărţită, dar nu rumegă; să -l priviţi ca necurat.

⁸Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

⁸Să nu mîncaţi din carnea lor, şi să nu vă atingeţi de trupurile lor moarte: să le priviţi ca necurate.

⁹These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

⁹Iată vieţuitoarele, pe cari să le mîncaţi dintre toate cele ce sînt în ape. Să mîncaţi din toate cele ce au aripi (înotătoare) şi solzi, şi cari sînt în ape, fie în mări, fie în rîuri.

¹⁰And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

¹⁰Dar să priviţi ca o urîciune pe toate cele ce n'au aripi şi solzi, din tot ce mişună în ape şi tot ce trăieşte în ape, fie în mări, fie în rîuri.

¹¹They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcasses in abomination.

¹¹Să le priviţi ca o urîciune, să nu mîncaţi din carnea lor, şi trupurile lor moarte să le priviţi ca o urîciune.

¹²Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

¹²Să priviţi ca o urîciune pe toate cele cari n'au aripi şi solzi în ape.

¹³And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

¹³Iată dintre păsări, cele pe cari le veţi privi ca o urîciune, şi din cari să nu mîncaţi: vulturul, gripsorul şi vulturul de mare;

¹⁴And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;

¹⁴şorecarul, şoimul şi tot ce este din neamul lui;

¹⁵Every raven after his kind;

¹⁵corbul şi toate soiurile lui;

¹⁶And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after his kind,

¹⁶struţul, bufniţa, pescărelul, coroiul şi tot ce ţine de neamul lui;

¹⁷And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

¹⁷huhurezul, heretele şi cocostîrcul;

¹⁸And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,

¹⁸lebăda, pelicanul şi corbul de mare;

¹⁹And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

¹⁹barza, bîtlanul, şi ce este din neamul lui, pupăza şi liliacul.

²⁰All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.

²⁰Să priviţi ca o urîciune orice tîrîtoare care sboară şi umblă pe patru picioare.

²¹Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

²¹Dar, dintre toate tîrîtoarele cari sboară şi umblă pe patru picioare, să mîncaţi pe cele ce au fluerul picioarelor dinapoi mai lung, ca să poată sări pe pămînt.

²²Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.

²²Iată pe cari să le mîncaţi: lăcusta, lăcusta solam, lăcusta hargol şi lăcusta hagab, după soiurile lor.

²³But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

²³Pe toate celelalte tîrîtoare cari sboară şi cari au patru picioare să le priviţi ca o urîciune.

²⁴And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcass of them shall be unclean until the even.

²⁴Ele vă vor face necuraţi: oricine se va atinge de trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurat pînă seara,

²⁵And whosoever beareth ought of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

²⁵şi oricine va purta trupurile lor moarte, să-şi spele hainele, şi va fi necurat pînă seara.

²⁶The carcasses of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.

²⁶Să priviţi ca necurat orice dobitoc cu unghia despicată, dar care n'are copita despărţită şi nu rumegă: oricine se va atinge de el va fi necurat.

²⁷And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcass shall be unclean until the even.

²⁷Să priviţi ca necurate toate acele dobitoace cu patru picioare, cari umblă pe labele lor: ori cine se va atinge de trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurat pînă seara;

²⁸And he that beareth the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.

²⁸şi ori cine le va purta trupurile moarte, îşi va spăla hainele şi va fi necurat pînă seara. Să le priviţi ca necurate.

²⁹These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,

²⁹Iată, din vietăţile cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt, cele pe cari le veţi privi ca necurate: cîrtiţa, şoarecele şi şopîrla, după soiurile lor;

³⁰And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.

³⁰ariciul, broasca, broasca ţestoasă, melcul şi cameleonul.

³¹These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.

³¹Să le priviţi ca necurate dintre toate tîrîtoarele: oricine se va atinge de ele moarte, va fi necurat pînă seara.

³²And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.

³²Orice lucru pe care va cădea ceva din trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurat, fie vas de lemn, fie haină, fie piele, fie sac, fie orice alt lucru care se întrebuinţează la ceva; să fie pus în apă, şi va rămînea necurat pînă seara; după aceea va fi curat.

³³And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.

³³Tot ce se va găsi într'un vas de pămînt în care va cădea ceva din aceste trupuri moarte, va fi necurat, şi veţi sparge vasul.

³⁴Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

³⁴Orice lucru de mîncare, pe care va cădea ceva din apa aceasta, va fi necurat; şi orice băutură care se întrebuinţează la băut, oricare ar fi vasul în care se va găsi, va fi necurată.

³⁵And every thing whereupon any part of their carcass falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you.

³⁵Orice lucru, pe care va cădea ceva din trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurat; cuptorul şi vatra să se dărîme: vor fi necurate, şi le veţi privi ca necurate.

³⁶Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcass shall be unclean.

³⁶Numai izvoarele şi fîntînile, cari alcătuiesc grămezi de ape, vor rămînea curate; dar cine se va atinge de trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurat.

³⁷And if any part of their carcass fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.

³⁷Dacă se întîmplă să cadă ceva din trupurile lor moarte pe o sămînţă care trebuie sămănată, ea va rămînea curată.

³⁸But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcass fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

³⁸Dar dacă se pusese apă pe sămînţă, şi cade pe ea ceva din trupurile lor moarte, va fi necurată.

³⁹And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcass thereof shall be unclean until the even.

³⁹Dacă moare una din vitele cari vă slujesc ca hrană, cine se va atinge de trupul ei mort, va fi necurat pînă seara;

⁴⁰And he that eateth of the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

⁴⁰cine va mînca din trupul ei mort, îşi va spăla hainele şi va fi necurat pînă seara; şi cine va purta trupul ei mort, îşi va spăla hainele şi va fi necurat pînă seara.

⁴¹And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

⁴¹Pe orice tîrîtoare care se tîrăşte pe pămînt, s'o priviţi ca necurată; să nu se mănînce.

⁴²Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

⁴²Din toate tîrîtoarele cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt, din toate cele ce se tîrăsc pe pîntece, să nu mîncaţi; nici din toate cele ce umblă pe patru picioare sau pe un mare număr de picioare; ci să le priviţi ca o urîciune.

⁴³Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

⁴³Să nu vă faceţi urîcioşi prin toate aceste tîrîtoare cari se tîrăsc; să nu vă faceţi necuraţi prin ele, să nu vă spurcaţi prin ele.

⁴⁴For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

⁴⁴Căci Eu sînt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru; voi să vă sfinţiţi, şi fiţi sfinţi, căci Eu sînt sfînt; să nu vă faceţi necuraţi prin toate aceste tîrîtoare cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt.

⁴⁵For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁵Căci Eu sînt Domnul, care v'am scos din ţara Egiptului, ca să fiu Dumnezeul vostru, şi să fiţi sfinţi; căci Eu sînt sfînt.

⁴⁶This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

⁴⁶Aceasta este legea privitoare la dobitoacele, păsările, toate vieţuitoarele cari se mişcă în ape, şi toate vietăţile cari se tîrăsc pe pămînt,

⁴⁷To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

⁴⁷ca să faceţi deosebire între ce este necurat şi ce este curat, între dobitocul care se mănîncă şi dobitocul care nu se mănîncă.``
