¹After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

¹După aceea Domnul a mai rînduit alţi şaptezeci de ucenici, şi i -a trimes doi cîte doi înaintea Lui, în toate cetăţile şi în toate locurile, pe unde avea să treacă El.

²Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

²Şi le -a zis: ,,Mare este secerişul, dar puţini sînt lucrătorii! Rugaţi dar pe Domnul secerişului să scoată lucrători la secerişul Său.

³Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

³Duceţi-vă; iată, vă trimet ca pe nişte miei în mijlocul lupilor.

⁴Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

⁴Să nu luaţi cu voi nici pungă, nici traistă, nici încălţăminte, şi să nu întrebaţi pe nimeni de sănătate pe drum.

⁵And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

⁵În orice casă veţi intra, să ziceţi întîi: ,,Pacea să fie peste casa aceasta!``

⁶And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

⁶Şi dacă va fi acolo un fiu al păcii, pacea voastră va rămînea peste el; altminteri ea se va întoarce la voi.

⁷And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

⁷Să rămîneţi în casa aceea, şi să mîncaţi şi să beţi ce vi se va da; căci vrednic este lucrătorul de plata sa. Să nu umblaţi din casă în casă.

⁸And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

⁸În oricare cetate veţi intra şi unde vă vor primi oamenii, să mîncaţi ce vi se va pune înainte;

⁹And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

⁹să vindecaţi pe bolnavii cari vor fi acolo, şi să le ziceţi: ,,Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu s'a apropiat de voi.``

¹⁰But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

¹⁰Dar în oricare cetate veţi intra, şi nu vă vor primi, să vă duceţi pe uliţele ei, şi să ziceţi:

¹¹Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

¹¹,,Scuturăm împotriva voastră, chiar şi praful din cetatea voastră, care s'a lipit de picioarele noastre; totuş să ştiţi că Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu s'a apropiat de voi.``

¹²But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

¹²Eu vă spun că, în ziua judecăţii va fi mai uşor pentru Sodoma decît pentru cetatea aceea.

¹³Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹³Vai de tine, Horazine! Vai de tine, Betsaido! Căci dacă ar fi fost făcute în Tir şi Sidon lucrările puternice cari au fost făcute în voi, de mult s'ar fi pocăit stînd în sac şi cenuşă.

¹⁴But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

¹⁴De aceea, în ziua judecăţii, va fi mai uşor pentru Tir şi Sidon decît pentru voi.

¹⁵And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

¹⁵Şi tu, Capernaume, vei fi înălţat oare pînă la cer? Vei fi pogorît pînă în Locuinţa morţilor.

¹⁶He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

¹⁶Cine vă ascultă pe voi, pe Mine Mă ascultă; şi cine vă nesocoteşte pe voi, pe Mine Mă nesocoteşte; iar cine Mă nesocoteşte pe Mine, nesocoteşte pe Cel ce M'a trimes pe Mine.``

¹⁷And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

¹⁷Cei şaptezeci s'au întors plini de bucurie, şi au zis: ,,Doamne, chiar şi dracii ne sînt supuşi în Numele Tău.``

¹⁸And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

¹⁸Isus le -a zis: ,,Am văzut pe Satana căzînd ca un fulger din cer.``

¹⁹Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

¹⁹Iată că v'am dat putere să călcaţi peste şerpi şi peste scorpii, şi peste toată puterea vrăjmaşului: şi nimic nu vă va putea vătăma.

²⁰Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

²⁰Totuş, să nu vă bucuraţi de faptul că duhurile vă sînt supuse; ci bucuraţi-vă că numele voastre sînt scrise în ceruri.``

²¹In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

²¹În ceasul acela, Isus S'a bucurat în Duhul Sfînt, şi a zis: ,,Tată, Doamne al cerului şi al pămîntului; Te laud pentrucă ai ascuns aceste lucruri de cei înţelepţi şi pricepuţi, şi le-ai descoperit pruncilor. Da, Tată, fiindcă aşa ai găsit cu cale Tu.``

²²All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

²²Toate lucrurile Mi-au fost date în mîni de Tatăl Meu; şi nimeni nu ştie cine este Fiul, afară de Tatăl, nici cine este Tatăl, afară de Fiul şi acela căruia vrea Fiul să i -L descopere.``

²³And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

²³Apoi S'a întors spre ucenici, şi le -a spus de o parte: ,,Ferice de ochii cari văd lucrurile, pe cari le vedeţi voi!

²⁴For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

²⁴Căci vă spun că mulţi prooroci şi împăraţi au voit să vadă ce vedeţi voi, şi n'au văzut, să audă ce auziţi voi, şi n'au auzit.``

²⁵And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

²⁵Un învăţător al Legii s'a sculat să ispitească pe Isus şi I -a zis: ,,Învăţătorule, ce să fac ca să moştenesc viaţa vecinică?``

²⁶He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

²⁶Isus i -a zis: ,,Ce este scris în Lege? Cum citeşti în ea?``

²⁷And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

²⁷El a răspuns: ,,Să iubeşti pe Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, cu toată inima ta, cu tot sufletul tău, cu toată puterea ta şi cu tot cugetul tău; şi pe aproapele tău ca pe tine însuţi.``

²⁸And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

²⁸,,Bine ai răspuns``, i -a zis Isus; ,,fă aşa, şi vei avea viaţa vecinică.``

²⁹But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

²⁹Dar el, care vroia să se îndreptăţească, a zis lui Isus: ,,Şi cine este aproapele meu?``

³⁰And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

³⁰Isus a luat din nou cuvîntul, şi a zis: ,,Un om se cobora din Ierusalim la Ierihon. A căzut între nişte tîlhari, cari l-au desbrăcat, l-au jăfuit de tot, l-au bătut zdravăn, au plecat, şi l-au lăsat aproape mort.

³¹And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

³¹Din întîmplare, se cobora pe acelaş drum un preot; şi, cînd a văzut pe omul acesta, a trecut înainte pe alături.

³²And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

³²Un Levit trecea şi el prin locul acela; şi cînd l -a văzut, a trecut înainte pe alături.

³³But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

³³Dar un Samaritean, care era în călătorie, a venit în locul unde era el, şi cînd l -a văzut, i s'a făcut milă de el.

³⁴And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

³⁴S'a apropiat de i -a legat rănile, şi a turnat peste ele untdelemn şi vin; apoi l -a pus pe dobitocul lui, l -a dus la un han, şi a îngrijit de el.

³⁵And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

³⁵A doua zi, cînd a pornit la drum, a scos doi lei, i -a dat hangiului, şi i -a zis: ,,Ai grijă de el, şi orice vei mai cheltui, îţi voi da înapoi la întorcere.``

³⁶Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

³⁶Care dintr'aceşti trei ţi se pare că a dat dovadă că este aproapele celui ce căzuse între tîlhari?``

³⁷And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

³⁷,,Celce şi -a făcut milă cu el``, a răspuns învăţătorul Legii. ,,Du-te de fă şi tu la fel``, i -a zis Isus.

³⁸Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

³⁸Pe cînd era pe drum, cu ucenicii Săi, Isus a intrat într'un sat. Şi o femeie, numită Marta, L -a primit în casa ei.

³⁹And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

³⁹Ea avea o soră numită Maria, care s'a aşezat jos la picioarele Domnului, şi asculta cuvintele Lui.

⁴⁰But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

⁴⁰Marta era împărţită cu multă slujire, a venit repede la El, şi I -a zis: ,,Doamne, nu-Ţi pasă că soru-mea m'a lăsat să slujesc singură? Zi -i dar să-mi ajute.``

⁴¹And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

⁴¹Drept răspuns, Isus i -a zis: ,,Marto, Marto, pentru multe lucruri te îngrijorezi şi te frămînţi tu,

⁴²But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

⁴²dar un singur lucru trebuieşte. Maria şi -a ales partea cea bună, care nu i se va lua.``
