¹And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

¹Pe cînd Se afla lîngă lacul Ghenezaret şi Îl îmbulzea norodul ca să audă Cuvîntul lui Dumnezeu,

²And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

²Isus a văzut două corăbii la marginea lacului; pescarii ieşiseră din ele să-şi spele mrejile.

³And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

³S'a suit într'una din aceste corăbii, care era a lui Simon: şi l -a rugat s'o depărteze puţin de la ţărm. Apoi a şezut jos, şi învăţa pe noroade din corabie.

⁴Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

⁴Cînd a încetat să vorbească, a zis lui Simon: ,,Depărtează -o la adînc, şi aruncaţi-vă mrejile pentru pescuire.``

⁵And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

⁵Drept răspuns, Simon I -a zis: ,,Învăţătorule, toată noaptea ne-am trudit, şi n'am prins nimic; dar, la cuvîntul Tău, voi arunca mrejile!``

⁶And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

⁶Dupăce le-au aruncat, au prins o aşa de mare mulţime de peşti că începeau să li se rupă mrejile.

⁷And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

⁷Au făcut semn tovarăşilor lor, cari erau în cealaltă corabie, să vină să le ajute. Aceia au venit şi au umplut amîndouă corăbiile, aşa că au început să se afunde corăbiile.

⁸When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

⁸Cînd a văzut Simon Petru lucrul acesta, s'a aruncat la genunchii lui Isus, şi I -a zis: ,,Doamne, pleacă dela mine, căci sînt un om păcătos.``

⁹For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

⁹Fiindcă îl apucase spaima, pe el şi pe toţi ceice erau cu el, din pricina pescuirii, pe care o făcuseră.

¹⁰And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

¹⁰Tot aşa şi pe Iacov şi pe Ioan, fiii lui Zebedei, tovarăşii lui Simon. Atunci Isus a zis lui Simon: ,,Nu te teme; de acum încolo vei fi pescar de oameni.``

¹¹And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

¹¹Ei au scos corăbiile la mal, au lăsat totul, şi au mers după El.

¹²And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

¹²Isus era într'una din cetăţi. Şi iată că un om plin de lepră, cum L -a văzut, s'a aruncat cu faţa la pămînt, L -a rugat, şi I -a zis: ,,Doamne dacă vrei, poţi să mă curăţeşti.``

¹³And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

¹³Isus a întins mîna, S'a atins de el, şi i -a zis: ,,Da, voiesc, fii curăţit!`` Îndată, l -a lăsat lepra.

¹⁴And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁴Apoi i -a poruncit să nu spună nimănui. ,,Ci du-te``, i -a zis El, ,,de te arată preotului, şi adu pentru curăţirea ta ce a rînduit Moise, ca mărturie pentru ei.``

¹⁵But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

¹⁵Se răspîndea tot mai mult vestea despre El, şi oamenii se strîngeau cu grămada, ca să -L asculte şi să fie vindecaţi de boalele lor.

¹⁶And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

¹⁶Iar El se ducea în locuri pustii, şi Se ruga.

¹⁷And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

¹⁷Într'una din zile, Isus învăţa pe noroade. Nişte Farisei şi învăţători ai Legii, cari veniseră din toate satele Galileii şi Iudeii şi din Ierusalim, stăteau acolo; iar puterea Domnului era cu El, ca să vindece.

¹⁸And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

¹⁸Şi iată că nişte oameni purtau într'un pat pe un slăbănog, şi căutau să -l ducă înlăuntru, ca să -l pună înaintea Lui.

¹⁹And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

¹⁹Fiindcă n'aveau pe unde să -l ducă înlăuntru, din pricina norodului, s'au suit pe acoperişul casei, şi l-au coborît cu patul printre cărămizi, în mijlocul adunării, înaintea lui Isus.

²⁰And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

²⁰Cînd le -a văzut credinţa, Isus a zis: ,,Omule, păcatele îţi sînt iertate!``

²¹And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?

²¹Cărturarii şi Fariseii au început să cîrtească, şi să zică în ei înşişi: ,,Cine este acesta, de rosteşte hule? Cine poate să ierte păcatele decît singur Dumnezeu?``

²²But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

²²Isus, care le -a cunoscut gîndurile, a luat cuvîntul şi le -a zis: ,,Pentruce cîrtiţi în inimile voastre?

²³Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?

²³Ce este mai lesne: a zice: ,Păcatele îţi sînt iertate`, sau a zice: ,Scoală-te, şi umblă?`

²⁴But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

²⁴Dar, ca să ştiţi că Fiul omului are putere pe pămînt să ierte păcatele: -,Ţie îţi poruncesc`, a zis El slăbănogului, ,scoală-te, ridică-ţi patul, şi du-te acasă``

²⁵And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

²⁵Şi numaidecît, slăbănogul s'a sculat, în faţa lor, a ridicat patul pe care zăcea şi s'a dus acasă, slăvind pe Dumnezeu.

²⁶And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.

²⁶Toţi au rămas uimiţi, şi slăveau pe Dumnezeu; plini de frică, ziceau: ,,Azi am văzut lucruri nemaipomenite.``

²⁷And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.

²⁷După aceea Isus a ieşit afară, şi a văzut pe un vameş, numit Levi, şezînd la vamă. Şi i -a zis: ,,Vino după Mine!``

²⁸And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

²⁸Vameşul a lăsat totul, s'a sculat, şi a mers după El.

²⁹And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

²⁹Levi I -a făcut un ospăţ mare la el în casă; şi o mulţime de vameşi şi de alţi oaspeţi şedeau la masă cu ei.

³⁰But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

³⁰Fariseii şi cărturarii cîrteau şi ziceau ucenicilor Lui: ,,Pentruce mîncaţi şi beţi împreună cu vameşii şi cu păcătoşii?

³¹And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

³¹Isus a luat cuvîntul şi le -a zis: ,,Nu cei sănătoşi au trebuinţă de doftor, ci cei bolnavi.

³²I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

³²N'am venit să chem la pocăinţă pe cei neprihăniţi ci pe cei păcătoşi.``

³³And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

³³Ei I-au zis: ,,Ucenicii lui Ioan, ca şi ai Fariseilor, postesc des, şi fac rugăciuni, pe cînd ai Tăi mănîncă şi beau.``

³⁴And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

³⁴El le -a răspuns: ,,Oare puteţi face pe nuntaşi să postească în timpul cînd mirele este cu ei?

³⁵But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

³⁵Vor veni zile cînd va fi luat mirele dela ei; atunci vor posti în acele zile.``

³⁶And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.

³⁶Le -a spus şi o pildă: ,,Nimeni nu rupe dintr'o haină nouă un petec, ca să -l pună la o haină veche; altmintrelea, rupe şi haina cea nouă, şi nici petecul luat dela ea, nu se potriveşte la cea veche.

³⁷And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.

³⁷Şi nimeni nu pune vin nou în burdufuri vechi; altmintrelea, vinul cel nou sparge burdufurile, se varsă, şi burdufurile se prăpădesc;

³⁸But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

³⁸ci vinul nou trebuie pus în burdufuri noi, şi amîndouă se păstrează.

³⁹No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.

³⁹Şi nimeni, după ce a băut vin vechi, nu voieşte vin nou, căci zice: ,Este mai bun cel vechi``
