¹Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

¹De aceea, prea iubiţii şi mult doriţii mei fraţi, bucuria şi cununa mea, rămîneţi astfel tari în Domnul, prea iubiţilor!

²I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

²Îndemn pe Evodia şi îndemn pe Sintichia să fie cu un gînd în Domnul.

³And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

³Şi pe tine, adevărat tovarăş de jug, te rog să vii în ajutorul femeilor acestora, cari au lucrat împreună cu mine pentru Evanghelie, cu Clement şi cu ceilalţi tovarăşi de lucru ai mei, ale căror nume sînt scrise în cartea vieţii.

⁴Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

⁴Bucuraţi-vă totdeauna în Domnul! Iarăş zic: Bucuraţi-vă!

⁵Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁵Blîndeţa voastră să fie cunoscută de toţi oamenii. Domnul este aproape.

⁶Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁶Nu vă îngrijoraţi de nimic; ci în orice lucru, aduceţi cererile voastre la cunoştinţa lui Dumnezeu, prin rugăciuni şi cereri, cu mulţămiri.

⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁷Şi pacea lui Dumnezeu, care întrece orice pricepere, vă va păzi inimile şi gîndurile în Hristos Isus.

⁸Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁸Încolo, fraţii mei, tot ce este adevărat, tot ce este vrednic de cinste, tot ce este drept, tot ce este curat, tot ce este vrednic de iubit, tot ce este vrednic de primit, orice faptă bună, şi orice laudă, aceea să vă însufleţească.

⁹Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁹Ce aţi învăţat, ce aţi primit şi auzit dela mine, şi ce aţi văzut în mine, faceţi. Şi Dumnezeul păcii va fi cu voi.

¹⁰But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

¹⁰Am avut o mare bucurie în Domnul, că, însfîrşit, aţi putut să vă înoiţi iarăş simţimintele voastre faţă de mine. Vă gîndeaţi voi la aşa ceva, dar vă lipsea prilejul.

¹¹Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

¹¹Nu zic lucrul acesta avînd în vedere nevoile mele; căci m'am deprins să fiu mulţămit cu starea în care mă găsesc.

¹²I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

¹²Ştiu să trăiesc smerit, şi ştiu să trăiesc în belşug. În totul şi pretutindeni m'am deprins să fiu sătul şi flămînd, să fiu în belşug şi să fiu în lipsă.

¹³I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

¹³Pot totul în Hristos, care mă întăreşte.

¹⁴Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

¹⁴Dar bine aţi făcut că aţi luat parte la strîmtorarea mea.

¹⁵Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

¹⁵Ştiţi voi înşivă, Filipenilor, că, la începutul Evangheliei, cînd am plecat din Macedonia, nicio Biserică n'a avut legătură cu mine în ce priveşte ,,darea`` şi ,,primirea`` afară de voi.

¹⁶For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

¹⁶Căci mi-aţi trimes în Tesalonic, odată, şi chiar de două ori, ceva pentru nevoile mele.

¹⁷Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

¹⁷Nu că umblu după daruri. Dimpotrivă, umblu după cîştigul care prisoseşte în folosul vostru.

¹⁸But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

¹⁸Am de toate, şi sînt în belşug. Sînt bogat, de cînd am primit prin Epafrodit ce mi-aţi trimes, -un miros de bună mireasmă, o jertfă bine primită şi plăcută lui Dumnezeu.

¹⁹But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

¹⁹Şi Dumnezeul meu să îngrijească de toate trebuinţele voastre, după bogăţia Sa, în slavă, în Isus Hristos.

²⁰Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²⁰A lui Dumnezeu şi Tatăl nostru să fie slava în vecii vecilor! Amin.

²¹Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

²¹Spuneţi sănătate fiecărui sfînt în Hristos Isus. Fraţii, cari sînt cu mine, vă trimet sănătate.

²²All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

²²Toţi sfinţii vă trimet sănătate, mai ales cei din casa Cezarului.
