1Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
1(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. De cîntat pe instrumente cu coarde. Un psalm al lui David.) Ascultă, Dumnezeule, strigătele mele, ia aminte la rugăciunea mea!
2From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
2Dela capătul pămîntului strig către Tine cu inima mîhnită, şi zic: ,,Du-mă pe stînca pe care n'o pot ajunge, căci este prea înaltă pentru mine!
3For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
3Căci Tu eşti un adăpost pentru mine, un turn tare împotriva vrăjmaşului.
4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
4Aş vrea să locuiesc pe vecie în cortul Tău: să alerg la adăpostul aripilor Tale. -
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
5Căci Tu, Dumnezeule, îmi asculţi juruinţele, Tu îmi dai moştenirea celorce se tem de Numele Tău.
6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
6Tu adaugi zile la zilele împăratului: lungească -i-se anii pe vecie!
7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
7În veci să rămînă el pe scaunul de domnie, înaintea lui Dumnezeu! Fă ca bunătatea şi credincioşia Ta să vegheze asupra lui!
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
8Atunci voi cînta neîncetat Numele Tău, şi zi de zi îmi voi împlini juruinţele.
