¹Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

¹(O rugăciune a lui David.) Ia aminte, Doamne, şi ascultă-mă! Căci sînt nenorocit şi lipsit.

²Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

²Păzeşte-mi sufletul, căci sînt unul din cei iubiţi de Tine! Scapă, Dumnezeule, pe robul Tău, care se încrede în Tine!

³Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

³Ai milă de mine, Doamne! Căci toată ziua strig către Tine.

⁴Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

⁴Înveseleşte sufletul robului Tău, căci la Tine, Doamne, îmi înalţ sufletul.

⁵For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

⁵Căci Tu eşti bun, Doamne, gata să ierţi, şi plin de îndurare cu toţi ceice Te cheamă.

⁶Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

⁶Pleacă-ţi urechea, Doamne, la rugăciunea mea, ia aminte la glasul cererilor mele!

⁷In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

⁷Te chem, în ziua necazului meu, căci m'asculţi.

⁸Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

⁸Nimeni nu este ca Tine între dumnezei, Doamne, şi nimic nu seamănă cu lucrările Tale.

⁹All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

⁹Toate neamurile, pe cari le-ai făcut, vor veni să se închine înaintea Ta, Doamne, şi să dea slavă Numelui Tău.

¹⁰For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

¹⁰Căci Tu eşti mare, şi faci minuni, numai Tu eşti Dumnezeu.

¹¹Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

¹¹Învaţă-mă căile Tale, Doamne! Eu voi umbla în adevărul Tău. Fă-mi inima să se teamă de Numele Tău.

¹²I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

¹²Te voi lăuda din toată inima mea, Doamne, Dumnezeul meu, şi voi prea mări Numele Tău în veci!

¹³For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

¹³Căci mare este bunătatea Ta faţă de mine, şi Tu îmi izbăveşti sufletul din adînca locuinţă a morţilor.

¹⁴O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

¹⁴Dumnezeule, nişte îngîmfaţi s'au sculat împotriva mea, o ceată de oameni asupritori vor să-mi ia viaţa, şi nu se gîndesc la Tine.

¹⁵But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

¹⁵Dar Tu, Doamne, Tu eşti un Dumnezeu îndurător şi milostiv, îndelung răbdător şi bogat în bunătate şi în credicioşie.

¹⁶O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

¹⁶Îndreaptă-Ţi privirile spre mine, şi ai milă de mine: dă tărie robului Tău, şi scapă pe fiul roabei Tale!

¹⁷Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

¹⁷Fă un semn pentru mine, ca să vadă vrăjmaşii mei şi să rămînă de ruşine, căci Tu mă ajuţi şi mă mîngîi, Doamne!
