¹And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

¹A ja som vám, bratia, nemohol vravieť ako duchovným, ale jako telesným, ako nedospelým v Kristu.

²I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

²Mliekom som vás napájal, a nemohol som vás krmiť ťažkým pokrmom, lebo ste ešte nemohli zniesť, ale ešte ani teraz nemôžete,

³For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

³lebo ste ešte vždy telesní. Lebo kde je medzi vami závisť, zvada a rôznice, či azda nie ste telesní a nechodíte podľa človeka?

⁴For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

⁴Lebo keď hovorí niekto: Ja som Pavlov, a iný: Ja Apollov, či azda nie ste telesní?

⁵Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

⁵Ktože je tedy Pavel a kto Apollo krome toho, že sú služobníkmi, skrze ktorých ste uverili? A to každý, jako mu dal Pán:

⁶I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

⁶ja som sadil, Apollo polieval, ale Bôh dal vzrast,

⁷So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

⁷takže nie je ničím ani ten, kto sadí, ani kto polieva, ale Bôh, ktorý dáva vzrast.

⁸Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

⁸A ten, kto sadí, i ten, kto polieva, sú jedno, a každý dostane svoju vlastnú mzdu podľa svojej vlastnej práce.

⁹For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

⁹Lebo sme Božími spolupracovníkmi; Božou roľou, Božou stavbou ste.

¹⁰According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

¹⁰Podľa milosti Božej, ktorá mi je daná, jako múdry staviteľ položil som základ, a iný stavia naň. Ale každý nech hľadí, jako naň stavia.

¹¹For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

¹¹Lebo iný základ nemôže nikto položiť mimo toho, ktorý je položený, ktorým je Ježiš Kristus.

¹²Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

¹²A jestli niekto stavia na ten základ zlato, striebro, drahé kamene, drevo, seno, slamu -

¹³Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

¹³jedného každého dielo vyjde najavo, pretože to ten deň ukáže, lebo sa zjaví v ohni. A jedného každého dielo, jaké ktoré je, sám ten oheň zkúsi.

¹⁴If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

¹⁴Ak ostane niečie dielo, ktoré postavil na základ, dostane mzdu;

¹⁵If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

¹⁵ak zhorí niečie dielo, bude mať škodu, a on sám bude zachránený, ale tak ako skrze oheň.

¹⁶Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

¹⁶Či neviete, že ste chrámom Božím, a že Duch Boží prebýva vo vás?

¹⁷If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

¹⁷Ak niekto kazí chrám Boží, toho zkazí Bôh; lebo chrám Boží je svätý, ktorým ste vy.

¹⁸Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

¹⁸Nech nikto sám seba nezvodí! Ak sa domnieva niekto medzi vami, že je múdry na tomto svete, nech je bláznom, aby bol múdry.

¹⁹For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

¹⁹Pretože múdrosť tohoto sveta je bláznovstvom u Boha. Lebo je napísané: Ktorý lapá múdrych v ich chytráctve.

²⁰And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

²⁰A zase: Pán zná myšlienky múdrych, že sú márne.

²¹Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

²¹A tak nech sa nikto nechváli ľuďmi. Lebo všetko je vaše,

²²Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

²²buď Pavel buď Apollo buď Kéfaš buď svet buď život buď smrť buď prítomné veci buď budúce, všetko je vaše,

²³And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

²³a vy ste Kristovi, a Kristus Boží.
