¹And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

¹A kráľovná zo Šeby slýchala povesť o Šalamúnovi dotyčne mena Hospodinovho a prišla, aby ho zkúsila rôznymi záhadami.

²And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

²A tak prišla do Jeruzalema s veľmi velikým sprievodom a bohatstvom, s veľblúdmi, ktoré niesly voňavé veci a zlata veľmi mnoho i drahé kamene. A keď prišla k Šalamúnovi, hovorila s ním o všetkom, čo mala vo svojom srdci.

³And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

³A Šalamún je odpovedal na všetky jej slová, a nebolo veci, ktorá by bola bývala skrytá pred kráľom, na ktorú by jej nebol dal odpovede.

⁴And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

⁴Vtedy, keď videla kráľovná Šeby všetku tú múdrosť Šalamúnovu i dom, ktorý vystavil,

⁵And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

⁵a jedlá jeho stola, sediská jeho služobníkov, stanoviská tých, ktorí mu posluhovali, ich rúcha a pohárnikov, a jeho schodište, po ktorom chodil hore do domu Hospodinovho, nebolo v nej viacej ducha od úžasu,

⁶And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

⁶a povedala kráľovi: Bola to pravda, čo som počula vo svojej zemi o tvojich veciach a o tvojej múdrosti,

⁷Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

⁷a neverila som tým rečiam, dokiaľ som neprišla, a dokiaľ nevidely moje oči, a hľa, nebola mi povedaná ani polovica. Prevýšil si čo do múdrosti a dobroty zvesť, ktorú som počula.

⁸Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

⁸Blahoslavení sú tvoji mužovia, blahoslavení títo tvoji sluhovia, ktorí stoja pred tebou vždycky, ktorí čujú tvoju múdrosť!

⁹Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

⁹Nech je požehnaný Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, ktorý má v tebe záľubu a ktorý si ťa obľúbil, aby ťa dal na trón Izraelov, pretože Hospodin miluje Izraela až na veky, a ustanovil ťa za kráľa, aby si činil súd a spravedlivosť.

¹⁰And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

¹⁰A dala kráľovi sto dvadsať hrivien zlata a voňavých vecí veľmi mnoho i drahých kameňov; neprišlo už potom nikdy viacej takých voňavých vecí tak mnoho, jako dala kráľovná Šeby kráľovi Šalamúnovi.

¹¹And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.

¹¹Ale aj lode Chíramove, ktoré dovážaly zlato z Ofíra, doviezly z Ofíra dreva almuggím veľmi mnoho i drahých kameňov.

¹²And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.

¹²A kráľ narobil z toho dreva almuggím zábradiel k domu Hospodinovmu a k domu kráľovmu a citarí a hárf pre spevákov. Nikdy potom neprišlo toľko a takého dreva almuggím ani sa nevidelo až do tohoto dňa.

¹³And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

¹³A kráľ Šalamún dal kráľovnej zo Šeby všetko, čo len chcela, čo si zažiadala, krome toho, čo jej dal Šalamún ako kráľovský dar. Potom sa obrátila a odišla do svojej zeme, ona i jej služobníci.

¹⁴Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

¹⁴A váhy zlata, ktoré prišlo Šalamúnovi za jeden rok, bolo šesťsto šesťdesiatšesť hrivien zlata,

¹⁵Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffic of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

¹⁵krome toho, čo prišlo od kupcov a zo zárobku obchodníkov a od všetkých kráľov Arábie a od správcov zeme.

¹⁶And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

¹⁶A kráľ Šalamún spravil dvesto veľkých štítov z kovaného zlata; šesťsto šeklov zlata dal na jeden každý štít.

¹⁷And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

¹⁷Spravil aj tristo malých štítov z kovaného zlata; tri funtové many zlata dal na jeden taký štít. A kráľ ich dal do domu lesa Libanona.

¹⁸Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

¹⁸A kráľ spravil veliký trón zo slonovej kosti a pokryl ho rýdzim zlatom.

¹⁹The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

¹⁹Trón mal šesť stupňov, a vrch mal trón okrúhly od zadnej strany a mal operadlá z jedného i z druhého boku pri sedisku, a vedľa operadiel stáli dvaja ľvi.

²⁰And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

²⁰A dvanásť ľvov tam stálo na šiestich stupňoch z jednej i z druhej strany. Nebolo nič také učinené pre niktoré kráľovstvo.

²¹And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

²¹A všetky nádoby kráľa Šalamúna, z ktorých sa pilo, boly zo zlata, a všetky nádoby domu lesa Libanona boly z čistého zlata. Nebolo ničoho zo striebra, ani nemalo striebro vo dňoch Šalamúnových nijakej ceny.

²²For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

²²Lebo kráľ mal taršíšske lode na mori s loďami Chíramovými. Raz za tri roky prichádzaly taršíšske lode, ktoré dovážaly zlato a striebro, slonovú kosť a opice a pávov.

²³So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

²³A kráľ Šalamún bol väčší od všetkých kráľov zeme čo do bohatstva a do múdrosti.

²⁴And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

²⁴Ľudia celej zeme hľadali vidieť tvár Šalamúnovu, aby počuli jeho múdrosť, ktorú dal Bôh do jeho srdca.

²⁵And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

²⁵A tí všetci donášali, každý svoj dar, strieborné nádoby a zlaté nádoby, rúcha, zbraň a voňavé veci, kone a mulice, a to tak každý rok, čo na ktorý rok pripadlo.

²⁶And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

²⁶A Šalamún nashromaždil vozov a jazdcov a mal tisíc štyristo vozov a dvanásť tisíc jazdcov a umiestnil ich v mestách vozov a u seba, u kráľa, v Jeruzaleme.

²⁷And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycamore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

²⁷A kráľ nahromadil striebra v Jeruzaleme jako kamenia a cedrového dreva nahromadil ako sykomorí, ktorých rastie na rovine množstvo.

²⁸And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

²⁸Kone dovádzali Šalamúnovi z Egypta, a čo do hromady koní, kupci kráľovi brali odtiaľ hromadu koní za peniaze.

²⁹And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.

²⁹A tak išiel voz hore a vyšiel z Egypta za šesťsto šeklov striebra a kôň za sto päťdesiat, a tak vodili odtiaľ svojou rukou pre všetkých kráľov Hetejov a pre kráľov Sýrie.
