¹Jotám mal dvadsaťpäť rokov, keď začal kraľovať, a kraľoval šestnásť rokov v Jeruzaleme. Meno jeho matky bolo Jeruša, dcéra Cádokova.

²And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.

⁴Krome toho vystavil mestá na pohorí Júdovom a v lesoch nastaväl zámkov a veží.

And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.

⁵Ten istý tiež bojoval s kráľom synov Ammonových a premohol ich. A synovia Ammonovi mu dali toho roku sto hrivien striebra a desať tisíc korov pšenice a jačmeňa tiež desať tisíc. Toľko mu dali synovia Ammonovi i druhého roku i tretieho.
