¹And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

¹A stane sa, keď prijdú na teba všetky tieto slová, požehnanie i kliatba, ktoré som ti predložil, a rozpomenieš sa na ne, kdekoľvek by si bol medzi národami, kam by ťa zahnal Hospodin, tvoj Bôh,

²And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

²a keby si sa navrátil k Hospodinovi, svojmu Bohu, a počúval by si na jeho hlas podľa všetkého toho, čo ti ja prikazujem dnes, ty i tvoji synovia, celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou,

³That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

³vtedy zase navráti Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, tvojich zajatých a zľutuje sa nad tebou a zase ťa shromaždí zo všetkých národov, medzi ktoré ťa bol rozptýlil Hospodin, tvoj Bôh.

⁴If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

⁴Keby bol niekto z tvojich zahnaný hoc i na koniec nebies, aj odtiaľ ťa shromaždí Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, a odtiaľ ťa vezme.

⁵And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

⁵A Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, ťa dovedie do zeme, ktorú boli do dedičstva zaujali tvoji otcovia, a zaujmeš ju do dedičstva a dobre ti učiní a rozmnoží ťa viacej, ako bol rozmnožil tvojich otcov.

⁶And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

⁶A Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, obreže tvoje srdce i srdce tvojho semena, aby si miloval Hospodina, svojho Boha, celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou, aby si žil.

⁷And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

⁷A Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, položí všetky tieto kliatby na tvojich nepriateľov a na tých, ktorí ťa nenávideli, ktorí ťa prenasledovali.

⁸And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

⁸A ty sa obrátiš a budeš počúvať na hlas Hospodinov a budeš činiť všetky jeho prikázania, ktoré ti ja prikazujem dnes.

⁹And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

⁹A Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, to dá, že budeš mať hojnosť v každej práci svojich rúk, v plode svojho života, v plode svojich hoviad, v plode svojej pôdy tebe na dobré, lebo Hospodin sa zase navráti, aby sa radoval nad tebou na tvoje dobré, jako sa radoval nad tvojimi otcami,

¹⁰If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

¹⁰keď budeš počúvať na hlas Hospodina, svojho Boha, nato, aby si ostríhal jeho prikázania a jeho ustanovenia, to, čo je napísané v tejto knihe zákona, keď sa obrátiš k Hospodinovi, svojmu Bohu, celým svojím srdcom a celou svojou dušou.

¹¹For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

¹¹Lebo toto prikázanie, ktoré ti ja prikazujem dnes, nie je nad tvoje sily a nad tvoj um ani nie je ďaleké;

¹²It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

¹²nie je voľakde na nebesiach, aby si povedal: Kto nám vystúpi hore do neba, aby nám ho vzal odtiaľ, aby nám ho dal počuť, aby sme ho činili?

¹³Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

¹³Ani nie je voľakde za morom, aby niekto povedal: Kto nám zajde za more, aby nám ho vzal a doniesol, aby nám ho dal počuť, aby sme ho činili?

¹⁴But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

¹⁴Lebo slovo je veľmi blízko teba, v tvojich ústach a v tvojom srdci, aby si ho činil.

¹⁵See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

¹⁵Hľaďže, dnes som ti predložil život a dobré, smrť a zlé

¹⁶In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

¹⁶prikazujúc ti dnes, aby si miloval Hospodina, svojho Boha, aby si chodil po jeho cestách a aby si ostríhal jeho prikázania, jeho ustanovenia a jeho súdy, aby si žil a množil sa, a aby ťa požehnal Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, v zemi, do ktorej ideš, aby si ju zaujal do dedičstva.

¹⁷But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

¹⁷No, jestli sa odvráti tvoje srdce a nebudeš poslúchať, ale sa dáš zviesť a budeš sa klaňať iným bohom a budeš im slúžiť,

¹⁸I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

¹⁸oznamujem vám dnes, že istotne zahyniete; nebudete dlho žiť na zemi, do ktorej ideš cez Jordán, idúc ta nato, aby si ju zaujal do dedičstva.

¹⁹I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

¹⁹Za svedkov volám dnes proti vám nebesia i zem, že som ti predložil život i smrť, požehnanie i kliatbu. A vyvolíš si život, aby si žil ty i tvoje semeno,

²⁰That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

²⁰aby si miloval Hospodina, svojho Boha, aby si počúval na jeho hlas a aby si sa ho držal, lebo on je tvojím životom a dĺžkou tvojich dní, aby si býval na pôde, o ktorej prisahal Hospodin tvojim otcom, Abrahámovi, Izákovi a Jakobovi, povediac, že im ju dá.
