¹The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

¹Bola nado mnou ruka Hospodinova, a vyviedol ma von v duchu Hospodinovom a postavil ma a nechal prostred údolia, ktoré bolo plné kostí.

²And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

²A previedol ma popri nich kolom dookola. A hľa, bolo ich veľmi mnoho na tvári údolia, a hľa, boly veľmi suché.

³And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

³A riekol mi: Synu človeka, či ožijú tieto kosti? A ja som povedal: Pane, Hospodine, ty vieš.

⁴Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

⁴Vtedy mi riekol: Prorokuj o týchto kostiach a povieš im: Vy, suché kosti, počujte slovo Hospodinovo!

⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

⁵Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin týmto kostiam: Hľa, ja uvediem do vás ducha, a ožijete.

⁶And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

⁶A dám na vás žily a spôsobím to, aby na vás vystúpilo telo a potiahnem vás kožou, dám do vás ducha a ožijete a zviete, že ja som Hospodin.

⁷So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

⁷Vtedy som prorokoval, ako mi bolo rozkázané. Tu povstal zvuk, keď som prorokoval, a hľa, bolo počuť hrkot, a kosti sa približovaly, kosť ku svojej kosti.

⁸And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

⁸A videl som, že hľa, ukázaly sa na nich žily, a vystúpilo mäso, a koža ich potiahla po vrchu, ale ducha v nich nebolo.

⁹Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

⁹A riekol mi: Prorokuj k duchu, prorokuj, synu človeka, a povieš duchu: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Od štyroch vetrov prijdi, duchu, a vej na týchto pobitých, aby ožili!

¹⁰So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

¹⁰Nuž prorokoval som tak, ako mi rozkázal. A vošiel do nich duch, a ožili a postavili sa na svoje nohy, zástup vojska, veliký náramne.

¹¹Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

¹¹A riekol mi: Synu človeka, tieto kosti sú celý dom Izraelov. Hľa, hovoria: Naše kosti uschly, a zahynula naša nádej, už je po nás!

¹²Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

¹²Preto prorokuj a povieš im: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, ja otvorím vaše hroby a vyvediem vás z vašich hrobov, môj ľude, a dovediem vás do zeme Izraelovej.

¹³And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

¹³A zviete, že ja som Hospodin, keď otvorím vaše hroby a keď vás vyvediem z vašich hrobov, môj ľude.

¹⁴And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

¹⁴A dám do vás svojho ducha, a ožijete, a osadím vás na vašej zemi, a zviete, že ja Hospodin som hovoril aj učiním, hovorí Hospodin.

¹⁵The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

¹⁵A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

¹⁶Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

¹⁶A ty, synu človeka, vezmi si jedno drevo a napíš naň: Júdovi a synom Izraelovým, jeho spoločníkom. Potom vezmi druhé drevo a napíš naň: Jozefovi. Drevo Efraimovo a celého domu Izraelovho, jeho spoločníkov.

¹⁷And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

¹⁷A priblíž si ich jedno k druhému v jedno drevo, aby boly jedno v tvojej ruke.

¹⁸And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

¹⁸Keď ti potom povedia synovia tvojho ľudu a rieknu: Či nám neoznámiš, načo ti je to?

¹⁹Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

¹⁹Hovor im: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, ja vezmem drevo Jozefovo, ktoré je v ruke Efraimovej, a pokolenia Izraelove, jeho spoločníkov, a dám ich aj s ním k drevu Júdovmu a učiním ich jedným drevom, a budú jedno v mojej ruke.

²⁰And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

²⁰A drevá, na ktoré napíšeš svojou rukou, budú pred ich očami.

²¹And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

²¹A hovor im: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, ja vezmem synov Izraelových zpomedzi národov, kam odišli, a shromaždím ich zo všetkých strán a dovediem ich do ich zeme.

²²And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

²²A učiním ich jedným národom v zemi, na vrchoch Izraelových, a jeden kráľ bude im všetkým za kráľa, a nebudú viacej dvoma národami ani sa už nebudú viacej deliť na dve kráľovstvá, nikdy.

²³Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

²³A nebudú sa viacej zanečisťovať svojimi ukydanými bohmi a svojimi mrzkosťami ani niktorými svojimi všelijakými prestúpeniami, a zachránim ich zo všetkých ich bydlísk, v ktorých hrešili, a očistím ich, a budú mi ľudom, a ja im budem Bohom.

²⁴And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

²⁴A môj služobník Dávid bude kráľom nad nimi, a všetci budú mať jedného pastiera, budú chodiť v mojich súdoch a budú ostríhať moje ustanovenia a budú ich činiť.

²⁵And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

²⁵Budú bývať na zemi, ktorú som dal svojmu služobníkovi Jakobovi, v ktorej bývali vaši otcovia, a budú bývať na nej oni aj ich synovia i synovia ich synov až na veky, a Dávid, môj služobník, im bude kniežaťom na veky.

²⁶Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

²⁶A učiním s nimi smluvu pokoja; bude to večná smluva s nimi. A dám ich ta a rozmnožím ich a dám svoju svätyňu do ich stredu, a bude tak až na veky.

²⁷My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

²⁷A môj príbytok bude nad nimi, a budem im Bohom, a oni mi budú ľudom.

²⁸And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

²⁸A tak zvedia národy, že ja som Hospodin, ktorý posväcujem Izraela, keď bude moja svätyňa v ich strede na veky.
