1Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
1Beda zemi šumiaceho zvuku krýdel hmyzu, ktorá je za riekami Kúša;
2That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
2panovníkovi i s jeho ľuďom, ktorý vysiela poslancov po mori, a na ľahkých loďkách z papierovej trsti po vodách. Len iďte, ľahkí poslovia rýchli, k vytiahnutému národu, vysokému čo do postavy, a uhladenému, strašnému ľudu vždycky, odkedy len je, a tak až doteraz; k národu rôznych zákonov a ktorý všetko šliape, ktorého zem poprerezávaly rieky.
3All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
3A nože, všetci obyvatelia okruhu sveta a vy, ktorí obývate zem, keď pozdvihnú prápor na vrchoch, vidzte, a keď zatrúbia na trúbu, počujte!
4For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
4Lebo takto mi povedal Hospodin: Upokojím sa a budem sa dívať zo svojho príbytku, ticho, jako za jasného kmitajúceho tepla na slnečnom svetle, a jako keď oblak rosy zvlažuje za horúčavy počas žatvy.
5For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
5Ale isteže prv ako prijde žatva, keď sa rozvijú puky, a z kvetu budú ešte len dozrievajúce trpké bobule, vtedy poodrezuje révy nožami a odstráni úponky, poodtína.
6They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
6A budú spolu zanechaní dravým vtákom vrchov a divej zveri zeme, a bude na tom letovať dravé vtáctvo cez leto, a všelijaká divá zver zeme bude na tom zimovať cez zimu.
7In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
7V tom čase bude donesený dar Hospodinovi Zástupov od vytiahnutého ľudu uhladeného, od ľudu, strašného vždycky, odkedy len je, a tak až doteraz, od národa rôznych zákonov a ktorý všetko šliape, ktorého zem poprerezávaly rieky, donesený bude na miesto mena Hospodina Zástupov, na vrch Sion.
