¹In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

¹Roku, ktorého zomrel kráľ Uziáš, videl som Pána sedieť na vysokom tróne a povznesenom, a podolok jeho rúcha naplňoval chrám.

²Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

²Serafíni stáli nad ním. Každý mal šesť krýdel; dvoma zakrýval svoju tvár, dvoma zakrýval svoje nohy a dvoma lietal.

³And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

³A volali jeden druhému a hovorili: Svätý, svätý, svätý Hospodin Zástupov, celá zem je plná jeho slávy.

⁴And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁴A pohly sa základy prahov od hlasu volajúceho, a dom sa naplnil dymom.

⁵Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

⁵Vtedy som povedal: Beda mne, lebo zahyniem, pretože som človek nečistých rtov a bývam prostred ľudu nečistých rtov; beda mne, lebo moje oči videly Kráľa Hospodina Zástupov!

⁶Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

⁶Tu priletel ku mne jeden zo serafínov majúc v ruke žeravý uhoľ, ktorý vzal kliešťami s oltára.

⁷And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

⁷A dotknul sa mojich úst a riekol: Hľa, tento uhoľ sa dotknul tvojich rtov, a tak odišla tvoja neprávosť, a tvoj hriech je prikrytý.

⁸Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

⁸Potom som počul hlas Pánov, ktorý hovoril: Koho pošlem, a kto nám pojde? Vtedy som povedal: Hľa, tu som, pošli ma.

⁹And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

⁹A riekol: Iď a povieš tomuto ľudu: Počuť počujte, ale neporozumejte, i hľadieť hľaďte, ale nepoznajte!

¹⁰Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

¹⁰Učiň to, aby stučnelo srdce tohoto ľudu, a jeho uši aby oťažely, a jeho oči zaslep, aby nejako nevidel svojimi očima a svojimi ušima nepočul, a jeho srdce by porozumelo, a obrátiac sa bol by uzdravený!

¹¹Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

¹¹A keď som povedal: Až dokedy, Pane? odpovedal: Až dokiaľ nespustnú mestá na toľko, že nebude obyvateľa, a domy, že nebude v nich človeka, a dokiaľ zem celkom nespustne.

¹²And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

¹²A Hospodin vzdiali človeka, a bude to veľká opustenosť v zemi.

¹³But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

¹³Ale dokiaľ v nej bude ešte čo aj len desiata čiastka, vše bude pálená, jako brest a jako dub, ktorým, keď ich povalia, ponechávajú len parez; jej parez bude svätým semenom.
