¹And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

¹A keď vychádzal z chrámu, povedal mu jeden z jeho učeníkov: Učiteľu, pozri, jaké kamene a jaké stavby!

²And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

²A Ježiš odpovedajúc riekol mu: Či vidíš tieto veliké stavby? Nebude tu zanechaný kameň na kameni, ktorý by nebol zborený.

³And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

³A keď sedel na Olivovom vrchu, naproti chrámu, opýtali sa ho osobitne Peter, Jakob a Ján a Andrej:

⁴Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

⁴Povedz nám, kedy to bude, a čo bude znamením, keď sa to všetko bude mať plniť?

⁵And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

⁵A Ježiš odpovedal a začal im hovoriť: Hľaďte, aby vás niekto nezviedol!

⁶For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

⁶Lebo mnohí prijdú pod mojím menom a budú hovoriť: Ja som Kristus, a zvedú mnohých.

⁷And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

⁷A keď počujete o vojnách a chýry o vojnách, nestrachujte sa, lebo to musí byť, ale ešte nebude koniec.

⁸For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

⁸Lebo povstane národ proti národu a kráľovstvo proti kráľovstvu, a budú zemetrasenia miestami, a bude bývať hlad a nepokoj.

⁹But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

⁹To budú počiatky prepôrodných bolestí. Ale vy majte sami na seba pozor! Lebo vás budú vydávať pred cirkevné snemy a do shromaždení; budete bití, i pred vladármi i pred kráľmi stanete pre mňa, im na svedoctvo.

¹⁰And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

¹⁰Ale najprv musí byť evanjelium hlásané všetkým národom.

¹¹But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

¹¹A keď vás povedú, zradne vás vydávajúc, nestarajte sa vopred o to, čo by ste mali hovoriť, ani nedbajte o to, ale čo vám bude dané v tú hodinu, to hovorte; lebo nie ste to vy, ktorí hovoríte, ale Svätý Duch.

¹²Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

¹²A vydá brat brata na smrť a otec dieťa, a deti povstanú na rodičov a usmrtia ich.

¹³And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

¹³A budete nenávidení od všetkých pre moje meno, ale ten, kto zotrvá až do konca, bude spasený.

¹⁴But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

¹⁴A keď uvidíte ohavnosť spustošenia, predpovedanú prorokom Danielom, že stojí tam, kde stáť nemá (Kto čítaš, rozumej!), vtedy tí, ktorí budú v Judsku, nech utekajú na vrchy;

¹⁵And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

¹⁵a ten, kto bude na streche, nech nesostupuje do domu ani nech nevchádza, aby niečo vzal zo svojho domu;

¹⁶And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

¹⁶a ten, kto bude na poli, nech sa nevracia zpät, aby vzal svoje rúcho.

¹⁷But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

¹⁷No, beda tehotným a tým, ktoré budú kojiť v tie dni!

¹⁸And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

¹⁸Ale modlite sa, aby sa váš útek neprihodil v zime!

¹⁹For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

¹⁹Lebo tie dni budú súžením, akého nebolo od počiatku stvorenia, ktoré Bôh stvoril, až doteraz, ani viac nikdy nebude.

²⁰And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

²⁰A keby Pán nebol ukrátil tie dni, nebolo by zachránené niktoré telo, ale pre vyvolených, ktorých si vyvolil, ukrátil tie dni.

²¹And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

²¹A vtedy keby vám niekto povedal: Hľa, tu je Kristus! alebo: Hľa tamto! neverte!

²²For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

²²Lebo povstanú falošní kristovia a falošní proroci a budú činiť divy a zázraky, aby zviedli, ak by bolo možné, aj vyvolených.

²³But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

²³Ale vy vidzte! Hľa, predpovedal som vám všetko.

²⁴But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

²⁴A v tých dňoch, po tom súžení, slnce sa zatmie, a mesiac nedá svojho svetla,

²⁵And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

²⁵a hviezdy budú padať z neba, a moci, ktoré sú na nebi, pohnú sa.

²⁶And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

²⁶A vtedy uvidia Syna človeka, prichádzajúceho v oblakoch s velikou mocou a slávou.

²⁷And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

²⁷A vtedy pošle svojich anjelov a shromaždí svojich vyvolených od štyroch vetrov, od konca zeme až do konca neba.

²⁸Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

²⁸Od fíka sa naučte podobenstvu: keď už omladnúc zmäkne jeho letorast a ženie lístie, viete, že je blízko leto.

²⁹So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

²⁹Tak aj vy, keď uvidíte, že sa to všetko deje, vedzte, že je blízko, predo dvermi.

³⁰Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

³⁰Ameň vám hovorím, že nepominie toto pokolenie, dokiaľ sa to všetko nestane.

³¹Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

³¹Nebo a zem pominú, ale moje slová nikdy nepominú.

³²But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

³²Ale o tom dni a o tej hodine nevie nikto, ani anjeli v nebi ani Syn, iba Otec.

³³Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

³³Hľaďte, bdejte a modlite sa, lebo neviete, kedy bude ten čas.

³⁴For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

³⁴Syn človeka je ako človek, ktorý ďaleko odcestoval opustiac svoj dom a dajúc svojim sluhom splnomocnenie a určiac každému jeho prácu a vrátnemu prikázal, aby bdel.

³⁵Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

³⁵A tak bdejte, lebo neviete, kedy prijde pán domu, či večer či o polnoci, či keď spieva kohút a či ráno,

³⁶Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

³⁶aby prijdúc znenazdania nenašiel vás spať.

³⁷And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

³⁷A čo vám hovorím, všetkým hovorím - bdejte!
