²O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

²Môj Bože, môj Bože, prečo si ma opustil?! Ďaleko sú od môjho spasenia slová môjho kriku.

³But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

³Môj Bože, volám vodne, a neodpovedáš; volám vnoci, a niet mi utíšenia.

⁴Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

⁴Ale ty si svätý, ktorý tróniš na chválach Izraelových.

⁵They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

⁵V teba dúfali naši otcovia; dúfali, a vyslobodzoval si ich.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

⁶Na teba kričali a boli vytrhnutí; v teba dúfali a nehanbili sa.

⁷All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

⁷Ale ja som červ a nie človek; som potupou človeka a opovržený od ľudu.

⁸He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

⁸Všetci, ktorí ma vidia, sa mi posmievajú, otvárajú posmešne ústa, pokyvujú hlavou

⁹But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

⁹a hovoria: Uvalil svoju vec na Hospodina; nech ho vyslobodí; nech ho vytrhne, lebo veď má v ňom záľubu!

¹⁰I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

¹⁰No, isteže si ty ten, ktorý ma vytiahol zo života matky, ten, ktorý spôsobil to, aby som mal nádej, keď som bol ešte len na prsiach svojej matky.

¹¹Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

¹¹Na teba som uvrhnutý od narodenia; od života mojej matky si ty mojím silným Bohom.

¹²Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹²Nevzďaľuj sa odo mňa, lebo je blízke súženie, a preto, že nieto spomocníka.

¹³They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹³Obkľúčilo ma množstvo juncov, silní býkovia bázanskí ma obstúpili.

¹⁴I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

¹⁴Otvárajú na mňa svoje ústa jako lev, trhajúci a revúci.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁵Som rozliaty jako voda; rozstúpily sa všetky moje kosti. Moje srdce je ako vosk; taje v mojich vnútornostiach.

¹⁶For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁶Moja sila je vyschlá jako črep, a môj jazyk je prilepený na moje ďasná, a ešte ma položíš do prachu smrti.

¹⁷I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

¹⁷Lebo ma obkľúčili psi; rota zlostníkov ma obkolesila; prebodli moje ruky i moje nohy.

¹⁸They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

¹⁸Počítam všetky svoje kosti, a oni hľadia a dívajú sa mi.

¹⁹But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

¹⁹Delia si medzi sebou moje rúcho a o môj odev hádžu los.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

²⁰Ale ty, ó, Hospodine, sa nevzďaľuj! Moja silo, pospieš mi na pomoc!

²¹Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

²¹Vytrhni moju dušu od meča, z ruky psa moju jedinú!

²²I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

²²Zachráň ma od úst ľva! Však keď som volal od rohov jednorožcov, ohlásil si sa mi.

²³Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²³Budem rozprávať o tvojom mene svojim bratom, vprostred shromaždenia ťa budem chváliť!

²⁴For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

²⁴Vy, ktorí sa bojíte Hospodina, chváľte ho! Všetko semä Jakobovo, oslavujte ho! A bojte sa ho, všetko semä Izraelovo!

²⁵My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

²⁵Lebo neopovrhuje utrápeným a neoškliví si jeho trápenia ani neskrýva pred ním svojej tvári, ale keď pokorne volá k nemu, počuje.

²⁶The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

²⁶Od teba je moja chvála vo veľkom shromaždení. - Svoje sľuby splním pred tými, ktorí sa ho boja.

²⁷All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

²⁷Pokorní budú jesť a nasýtia sa, a tí, ktorí hľadajú Hospodina, budú ho chváliť. Nech žije vaše srdce až naveky!

²⁸For the kingdom is the LORD's: and he is the governor among the nations.

²⁸Rozpamätajú sa a navrátia sa k Hospodinovi všetky končiny zeme. A všetky čeľade národov sa budú klaňať pred tebou.

²⁹All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

²⁹Lebo Hospodinovo je kráľovstvo, a on panuje nad národami.

³⁰A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

³⁰Jesť a klaňať sa budú všetci tuční zeme; pred ním sa sklonia všetci, ktorí sostupujú do prachu, a nikto z nich nezachová svojej duše živej.

³¹They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

³¹Semeno, ktoré mu bude slúžiť, bude pripočítané Pánovi v každom veku.

³²Prijdú a budú zvestovať jeho spravedlivosť ľudu, ktorý sa narodí, že on to učinil.
