²Aleph. Dobrorečiť budem Hospodinovi každého času. Jeho chvála bude neprestajne v mojich ústach.

³O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

³Beth. V Hospodinovi sa bude chváliť moja duša, čo keď počujú pokorní, budú sa radovať.

⁴I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

⁴Gimel. Zvelebujte so mnou Hospodina, a vyvyšujme spoločne jeho meno!

⁵They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

⁵Daleth. Hľadal som Hospodina, a ohlásil sa mi a vytrhol ma zo všetkých mojich strachov.

⁶This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁶Hé. Hľadieť budú na neho a pohrnú sa, a ich tvár nebude rumenieť hanbou.

⁷The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

⁷Zajin. A povedia: Tento biedny volal, a Hospodin počul a vyslobodil ho zo všetkých jeho úzkostí a zachránil.

⁸O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

⁸Cheth. Anjel Hospodinov táborí vôkol tých, ktorí sa ho boja, a vytrhuje ich.

⁹O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

⁹Teth. Okúste a vidzte, že dobrý je Hospodin; blahoslavený muž, ktorý sa utieka k nemu.

¹⁰The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

¹⁰Jod. Bojte sa Hospodina, vy jeho svätí, lebo tí, ktorí sa ho boja, nemajú nedostatku.

¹¹Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¹¹Kaf. Mladí ľvi biedia a hladujú; ale tí, ktorí hľadajú Hospodina, nebudú mať nedostatku ničoho dobrého.

¹²What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

¹²Lamed. Poďte, deti, počujte ma; budem vás vyučovať bázni Hospodinovej.

¹³Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

¹³Mem. Kde ktorý je to človek, ktorý má rád život, miluje dni, aby videl dobré?

¹⁴Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁴Nun. Strež svoj jazyk a zdŕžaj od zlého a svoje rty, aby nehovorily lesti!

¹⁵The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

¹⁵Samech. Odstúp od zlého a čiň dobré; hľadaj pokoj a stíhaj ho!

¹⁶The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

¹⁶Ajin. Oči Hospodinove hľadia na spravedlivých, a jeho uši sú naklonené k ich volaniu.

¹⁷The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

¹⁷Pé. Tvár Hospodinova je obrátená proti tým, ktorí robia zlé, aby vyťal ich pamiatku zo zeme.

¹⁸The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

¹⁸Tsadé. Keď volajú, Hospodin počuje a vytrhne ich zo všetkých ich úzkostí.

¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

¹⁹Kaf. Hospodin je blízky tým, ktorí sú skrúšeného srdca, a tých, ktorí sú zdrteného ducha, zachráni.

²⁰He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

²⁰Réš. Mnoho zlého prichádza na spravedlivého; ale zo všetkého toho vytrhuje Hospodin.

²¹Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

²¹Šin. Strežie všetky jeho kosti; ani jedna z nich nebude zlámaná.

²²The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

²²Tav. Bezbožníka usmrtí jeho vlastná zlosť, a tí, ktorí nenávidia spravedlivého, ponesú vinu.

²³Hospodin vykúpi dušu svojich služobníkov, a neponesú viny niktorí z tých, ktorí sa utiekajú k nemu.
