¹Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.

¹Tako je bilo dokončano vse delo, ki ga je delal Salomon za hišo GOSPODOVO. In Salomon je ponesel vanjo, kar je bil posvetil David, oče njegov, namreč srebro in zlato in vse posode, in del jih je v zaklade hiše Božje.

²Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

²Tedaj je zbral Salomon starejšine Izraelove in vse poglavarje rodov, kneze očetovinam sinov Izraelovih, v Jeruzalem, da preneso skrinjo zaveze GOSPODOVE iz mesta Davidovega, ki je Sion.

³Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month.

³In zbero se pri kralju vsi možje Izraelovi ob prazniku, ki je sedmi mesec.

⁴And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

⁴In ko so prišli vsi starejšine Izraelovi, vzdignejo leviti skrinjo

⁵And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up.

⁵in jo prineso gori, in shodni šator in vse svete posode, ki so bile v šatoru; duhovniki, leviti, so jih prinesli gori.

⁶Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

⁶In kralj Salomon in vsa občina Izraelova, kar jih je bilo zbranih ob skrinji pri njem, so darovali ovac in volov tolikanj, da jih ni bilo moči sešteti ali oceniti.

⁷And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim:

⁷In duhovniki so ponesli skrinjo zaveze GOSPODOVE na njeno mesto, v govorišče hiše, v Najsvetejše, pod peruti kerubov.

⁸For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

⁸Kajti keruba sta razprostirala peruti nad mestom skrinje, in keruba sta pokrivala skrinjo in njena droga odzgoraj.

⁹And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.

⁹In potegnili so droga, da je bilo videti njuna konca od skrinje ob sprednji strani govorišča, ali zunaj ju ni bilo videti. In skrinja je ondi do današnjega dne.

¹⁰There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

¹⁰Ničesar ni bilo v skrinji razen dveh plošč, ki ju je Mojzes položil vanjo na Horebu, kjer je GOSPOD storil zavezo s sinovi Izraelovimi, ko so šli iz Egipta.

¹¹And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course:

¹¹In zgodi se, ko so prišli duhovniki iz svetišča (zakaj vsi duhovniki, kar se jih je zbralo, so se bili posvetili brez ozira na svoje vrste)

¹²Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:)

¹²in ko so vsi leviti-pevci, Asaf, Heman in Jedutun ter njih bratje in sinovi, oblečeni v tenčico, stali s cimbali in psalmovimi strunami in harfami ob vzhodni strani oltarja in pri njih sto in dvajset duhovnikov, ki so trobili na trobente –

¹³It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

¹³zgodi se torej, ko so trobentači in pevci bili kakor eden, da bi se slišal le eden glas v proslavo in zahvalo GOSPODA, in ko so povzdignili glas svoj s trobentami, cimbali in drugimi godali in hvalili GOSPODA, ker je dobrotljiv, ker vekomaj traja milost njegova: tedaj se je hiša, hiša GOSPODOVA, napolnila z oblakom,da niso mogli duhovniki stati, da bi opravljali službo, spričo oblaka, zakaj slava GOSPODOVA je napolnila hišo Božjo.

¹⁴So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
