¹And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

¹In zgodi se, ko pridejo nadte vse te besede, blagoslov in prokletstvo, ki sem ti ga predložil, in se jih spomniš v svojem srcu med vsemi narodi, kamor te je pognal GOSPOD, tvoj Bog,

²And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

²in se izpreobrneš h GOSPODU, svojemu Bogu, in boš poslušal njegov glas po vsem, kar ti danes zapovedujem, ti in tvoji otroci, iz vsega srca svojega in z vso dušo svojo:

³That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

³tedaj pripelje GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, nazaj ujetnike tvoje in se te usmili in te zopet zbere izmed vseh ljudstev, kamor te je razkropil GOSPOD, tvoj Bog.

⁴If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

⁴Ako bi bili razkropljenci tvoji ob koncu neba, tudi odondod te zbere GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, in odondod te prinese;

⁵And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

⁵in GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, te pripelje v deželo, ki so jo posedli očetje tvoji, in dobiš jo ti; in dobro ti stori in te pomnoži bolj nego očete tvoje.

⁶And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

⁶In GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, obreže srce tvoje in tvojega zaroda srce, da ljubiš GOSPODA, svojega Boga, iz vsega srca svojega in z vso dušo svojo, da bi živel.

⁷And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

⁷In GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, dene vse te kletve na sovražnike tvoje in na tiste, ki te črté, ki so te preganjali.

⁸And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

⁸Ti pa se izpreobrneš in boš poslušal glas GOSPODOV in izpolnjeval vse zapovedi njegove, ki ti jih zapovedujem danes.

⁹And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

⁹In GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, stori, da boš imel obilje pri vsem delu svoje roke, v sadu svojega telesa, v prireji živine in v pridelku zemlje svoje, tebi v dobro; zakaj GOSPOD se te bo zopet veselil tebi v dobro, kakor se je bil veselil očetov tvojih,

¹⁰If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

¹⁰ko boš poslušal glas GOSPODA, svojega Boga, izpolnjujoč njegove zapovedi in postave, ki so pisane v tej knjigi zakona, ko se izpreobrneš h GOSPODU, svojemu Bogu, z vsem srcem svojim in z vso dušo svojo.

¹¹For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

¹¹Zakaj ta zapoved, ki ti jo jaz danes zapovedujem, ni previsoka zate, tudi ni daleč od tebe;

¹²It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

¹²ni v nebesih, da bi rekel: Kdo stopi za nas v nebesa in nam jo prinese, da bi jo slišali in po njej ravnali?

¹³Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

¹³Tudi ni onostran morja, da bi rekel: Kdo pojde čez morje za nas ter nam jo prinese, da bi jo slišali in po njej ravnali?

¹⁴But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

¹⁴Ampak prav blizu ti je ta beseda, v ustih tvojih in v srcu tvojem, da bi jo izpolnjeval.

¹⁵See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

¹⁵Poglej, predložil sem ti danes življenje in dobro, smrt in hudo

¹⁶In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

¹⁶s tem, da ti danes zapovedujem, da ljubi GOSPODA, svojega Boga, hodi po njegovih potih in drži zapovedi, postave in sodbe njegove, da bi živel in se množil ter da bi te blagoslovil GOSPOD, tvoj Bog, v deželi, v katero greš, da jo posedeš.

¹⁷But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

¹⁷Ako se pa odvrne tvoje srce in ne boš poslušal, ampak se daš premotiti ter se boš drugim bogovom poklanjal in jim služil:

¹⁸I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

¹⁸oznanjam vam danes, da gotovo poginete; ne podaljšate svojih dni v deželi, v katero si namenjen iti čez Jordan, da jo posedeš.

¹⁹I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

¹⁹Za priči proti vam kličem danes nebo in zemljo. Predložil sem ti danes življenje in smrt, blagoslov in prokletstvo: izvoli si torej življenje, da bi živel ti in zarod tvoj,da ljubiš GOSPODA, svojega Boga, poslušaš njegov glas in se ga oklepaš; zakaj v tem je tvoje življenje in podaljšanje tvojih dni, da bi prebival v deželi, za katero je GOSPOD prisegel očetom tvojim, Abrahamu, Izaku in Jakobu, da jim jo da.

²⁰That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

²⁰da ljubiš GOSPODA, svojega Boga, poslušaš njegov glas in se ga oklepaš; zakaj v tem je tvoje življenje in podaljšanje tvojih dni, da bi prebival v deželi, za katero je GOSPOD prisegel očetom tvojim, Abrahamu, Izaku in Jakobu, da jim jo da.
