¹And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

¹Govoril pa je bil GOSPOD Mojzesu: Še eno šibo pošljem nad Faraona in nad Egipt, potem vas izpusti odtod; ko vas res izpusti, vas še celo izžene odtod.

²Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

²Govori zdaj na ušesa ljudstvu, naj prosi vsakdo od svojega soseda in vsaka od sosede svoje srebrnih in zlatih dragotin.

³And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

³In dal je GOSPOD ljudstvu milost v očeh Egipčanov. Tudi Mojzes je bil jako imeniten mož v deželi Egiptovski, v očeh služabnikov Faraonovih in v očeh ljudstva.

⁴And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:

⁴In Mojzes reče: Tako pravi GOSPOD: Opolnoči pojdem sredi Egipta;

⁵And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

⁵in umrjo vsi prvorojenci v Egiptovski deželi, od prvenca Faraonovega, ki bi mu bilo sedeti na njegovem prestolu, do prvenca dekle pri ročnem mlinu in vsa prvenščina živali.

⁶And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

⁶In bo veliko vpitje po vsej deželi Egiptovski, kakršnega nikoli ni bilo in ga nikdar več ne bode.

⁷But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

⁷A pri vseh sinovih Izraelovih niti pes ne migne z jezikom svojim, ne proti ljudem, ne proti živini, zato da izprevidite, da GOSPOD dela razloček med Egipčani in med Izraelom.

⁸And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

⁸In pridejo k meni doli vsi ti služabniki tvoji ter, priklanjajoč se mi, poreko: Izidi ti in vse ljudstvo, ki ti sledi; in potem izidem. In odšel je izpred Faraona v goreči jezi.

⁹And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

⁹In GOSPOD je rekel Mojzesu: Faraon vaju ne posluša, zato da se pomnožé čudeži moji v Egiptovski deželi.In Mojzes in Aron sta storila vse te čudeže pred Faraonom; a GOSPOD je otrdil srce Faraonovo, in on ni odpustil sinov Izraelovih iz dežele svoje.

¹⁰And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

¹⁰In Mojzes in Aron sta storila vse te čudeže pred Faraonom; a GOSPOD je otrdil srce Faraonovo, in on ni odpustil sinov Izraelovih iz dežele svoje.
