¹Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

¹Ne raznašaj lažnivega govorjenja; ne podajaj roke svoje krivičniku, da bodeš priča za nepravičnost.

²Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

²Ne potegni z množico, da bi delal zlo; in v pravdi ne govóri iz nagnjenja do množice, da se izprevrne sodba.

³Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

³Tudi na ubožca se ne oziraj v pravdi njegovi.

⁴If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

⁴Ako srečaš vola sovražnika svojega ali osla, da je zašel, pripelji mu ga varno nazaj.

⁵If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

⁵Ako vidiš osla sovražilca svojega, da leži pod tovorom svojim, ne hodi mimo, ne da bi mu pomagal: rad mu pomozi ž njim vred.

⁶Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

⁶Ne zavijaj pravice siromaku svojemu v pravdi njegovi.

⁷Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

⁷Ogiblji se nepoštene reči. Nedolžnega in pravičnega ne ubijaj, zakaj krivičnega ne opravičim.

⁸And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

⁸Ne jemlji daril, kajti darilo oslepi nje, ki gledajo z odprtimi očmi, in preobrne besede pravičnih.

⁹Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

⁹In tujca ne tlači, zakaj veste, kako je v duši tujcu, ker ste sami bili tujci v deželi Egiptovski.

¹⁰And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

¹⁰Šest let posevaj zemljo svojo in spravljaj pridelke njene;

¹¹But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

¹¹a sedmo leto naj ti leži in počiva, da jo uživajo ubožci tvojega ljudstva, in kar po njih preostane, naj pojé poljska zverina. Prav tako delaj z vinogradom in z olivnikom svojim.

¹²Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

¹²Šest dni opravljaj posel svoj in sedmi dan počivaj, da se odpočijeta vol in osel tvoj in se oddahneta sin dekle tvoje in tujec.

¹³And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

¹³In pazite na vse, kar sem vam rekel; in imena tujih bogov ne omenjajte, še sliši naj se ne iz vaših ust.

¹⁴Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

¹⁴Trikrat v letu mi posvečuj praznik.

¹⁵Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

¹⁵Praznik opresnikov praznuj: sedem dni boš jedel opresen kruh, kakor sem ti zapovedal, v določeni čas v mesecu Abibu, kajti v njem si šel iz Egipta; in nihče naj se ne prikaže prazen pred mojim obličjem;

¹⁶And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors out of the field.

¹⁶in praznik žetve, prvin tvojega pridelka, tistega, kar seješ na polju; in praznik spravljanja ob koncu leta, kadar pospraviš svoje pridelke s polja.

¹⁷Three items in the year all thy males shall appear before the LORD God.

¹⁷Trikrat v letu naj se prikažejo vsi moški tvoji pred obličjem Gospoda Jehove.

¹⁸Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

¹⁸Ne daruj krvi daritve moje zraven kvašenega kruha, in masti od mojega praznika naj ne ostane do jutra.

¹⁹The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

¹⁹Prve prvine plodov zemlje svoje prinesi v hišo GOSPODA, svojega Boga. Ne kuhaj kozliča v matere njegove mleku.

²⁰Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

²⁰Glej, jaz pošiljam angela svojega pred teboj, da te varuje na potu in te pripelje v kraj, katerega sem pripravil.

²¹Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

²¹Pazi se obličja njegovega in poslušaj njegov glas; ne upiraj se mu, ker ne izpregleda prestopkov vaših, zakaj moje ime je v njem.

²²But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

²²Če boš pa pazljivo poslušal njegov glas in delal vse, kar govorim: sovražnik bodem tvojim sovražnikom in nasprotnikom tvojim nasprotnik.

²³For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

²³Kajti angel moj pojde pred teboj in te privede k Amorejcem in Hetejcem in Ferizejcem in Kanaancem in Hevejcem in Jebusejcem, in jih iztrebim.

²⁴Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

²⁴Ne klanjaj se njih bogovom in jim ne služi, tudi ne delaj po njih delih, marveč docela jih razruši in dočista poteri njih stebre s podobami.

²⁵And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

²⁵In služite GOSPODU, Bogu svojemu, in blagoslovil bo kruh tvoj in vodo tvojo, in odpravim bolezen izmed vas.

²⁶There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

²⁶Ne bode je, ki bi negodno rodila, ne nerodovitne v deželi tvoji; število dni tvojih dopolnim.

²⁷I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

²⁷Strah svoj pošljem pred teboj ter zbegam vsa ljudstva, h katerim prideš, in vse sovražnike tvoje poženem v beg pred teboj.

²⁸And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

²⁸In pošljem pred teboj sršene, ki bodo pregnali Hevejce, Kanaance in Hetejce izpred tebe.

²⁹I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

²⁹Ne preženem jih izpred tebe v enem letu, da se ne opustoši dežela in se ne pomnože poljske zveri zoper tebe.

³⁰By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

³⁰Pomalem jih preženem izpred tebe, dokler se ne razmnožiš in ne posedeš dežele.

³¹And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

³¹In postavim mejo tvojo od Rdečega morja do morja Filistejcev in od puščave do velereke; kajti v roko tvojo dam prebivalce tiste dežele, in izgnal jih boš pred seboj.

³²Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

³²Zaveze ne skleni ž njimi, ne ž njih bogovi.Ne prebivajo naj v tvoji deželi, da te ne zapeljejo v greh zoper mene; zakaj če bi služil njih bogovom, bi ti gotovo bilo v zanko.

³³They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

³³Ne prebivajo naj v tvoji deželi, da te ne zapeljejo v greh zoper mene; zakaj če bi služil njih bogovom, bi ti gotovo bilo v zanko.
