¹Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹Tedaj je govoril GOSPOD Mojzesu: Idi k Faraonu in mu govóri: Tako pravi GOSPOD, Bog Hebrejcev: Izpusti ljudstvo moje, da mi služijo.

²For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

²Zakaj če se boš branil jih odpustiti in jih še dalje zadrževal,

³Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

³glej, roka GOSPODA bode nad tvojo živino, ki je na polju: nad konji, nad osli, nad velblodi, nad govedi in nad drobnico v jako hudi kugi.

⁴And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

⁴In GOSPOD napravi razloček med živino Izraelcev in med živino Egipčanov, in od vsega blaga, kar je sinov Izraelovih, ne pogine nič.

⁵And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

⁵In GOSPOD je določil rok, rekoč: Jutri napravi GOSPOD to v deželi.

⁶And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

⁶In storil je GOSPOD to drugi dan: in vsa živina Egipčanov je poginila, a izmed živine sinov Izraelovih še ena glava ne.

⁷And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

⁷Pošlje pa Faraon, in glej, niti ena glava ni poginila sinovom Izraelovim. In zakrknilo se je srce Faraonovo, in ljudstva ni izpustil.

⁸And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

⁸Tedaj reče GOSPOD Mojzesu in Aronu: Vzemita si iz peči polne pesti pepela, in Mojzes naj ga iztrese proti nebu pred očmi Faraonovimi.

⁹And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁹In bodi v prah nad vso deželo Egiptovsko, in ljudje in živali dobodo ugnide, ki se izrinejo z osepnicami, po vsej deželi Egiptovski.

¹⁰And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

¹⁰Vzela sta torej pepela in se postavila pred Faraona, in Mojzes ga raztrese proti nebu; in nastalo je ugnidje, ki se je v osepnicah izrinilo po ljudeh in govedi.

¹¹And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

¹¹In pismouki niso mogli stati pred Mojzesom zaradi ugnidja, kajti pismouki so je imeli kakor vsi Egipčani.

¹²And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

¹²GOSPOD pa je otrdil srce Faraonovo in ni ju slušal, kakor je bil govoril GOSPOD Mojzesu.

¹³And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

¹³In GOSPOD reče Mojzesu: Vstani zjutraj zgodaj in stopi pred Faraona ter mu reci: Tako pravi GOSPOD, Bog Hebrejcev: Izpusti ljudstvo moje, da mi služi!

¹⁴For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

¹⁴Kajti to pot pošljem vse šibe svoje nad tvoje srce in nad služabnike tvoje in nad ljudstvo tvoje, zato da spoznaš, da nikogar ni meni enakega na vsej zemlji.

¹⁵For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

¹⁵Kajti zdaj sem že iztegnil roko svojo, in ko bi bil s kugo udaril tebe in ljudstvo tvoje, bi bil iztrebljen z zemlje.

¹⁶And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

¹⁶Ali zaradi tega sem te ohranil, da ti pokažem svojo moč ter da se razglasi ime moje po vsej zemlji.

¹⁷As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

¹⁷Ako se še vzpenjaš zoper moje ljudstvo, ne hoteč ga izpustiti:

¹⁸Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

¹⁸glej, jutri obsore storim, da bo padala debela toča, kakršne še ni bilo v Egiptu od dne, ko je bil postavljen, do sedaj.

¹⁹Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

¹⁹Zdaj pa pošlji in spravi v zavetje živino svojo in karkoli imaš na polju; zakaj vsak človek in vsaka žival, ki bode na polju in se ne shrani v hiši, pogine, ko se usuje toča.

²⁰He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

²⁰Kdorkoli izmed služabnikov Faraonovih se je bal besede GOSPODOVE, je spravil svoje hlapce in živino svojo na varno v hiše.

²¹And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

²¹Kdor si pa ni vzel besede GOSPODOVE k srcu, je pustil svoje hlapce in živino na polju.

²²And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

²²In GOSPOD reče Mojzesu: Iztegni roko proti nebu, da pride toča nad vso deželo Egiptovsko, nad ljudi in nad živali in nad vso poljsko zelenjavo v deželi Egiptovski.

²³And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

²³In Mojzes je iztegnil palico svojo proti nebu, in GOSPOD je dal grom in točo, in ogenj je švigal na zemljo, in GOSPOD je dežil točo na deželo Egiptovsko.

²⁴So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

²⁴In padala je toča in ogenj je neprestano švigal med točo, jako hudo, kakršne ni bilo v vsej deželi Egiptovski, odkar je last naroda.

²⁵And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

²⁵In potolkla je toča po vsej deželi Egiptovski, karkoli je bilo na polju, od človeka do živine, in vso zelenjavo na polju je potolkla toča in polomila sleherno drevo na polju.

²⁶Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

²⁶Samo v deželi Gosenski, kjer so bili sinovi Izraelovi, ni bilo toče.

²⁷And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

²⁷In pošlje Faraon ter pokliče Mojzesa in Arona in jima reče: Pregrešil sem se ta krat. GOSPOD je pravičen, jaz pa in ljudstvo moje smo krivičniki.

²⁸Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

²⁸Prosite GOSPODA, in dovolj bodi groma Božjega in toče, in izpustim vas, in ne ostanete več tukaj.

²⁹And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

²⁹In odgovori mu Mojzes: Ko pridem iz mesta, razprostrem roke svoje proti GOSPODU: grmenje poneha in toče ne bode več, zato da spoznaš, da je zemlja GOSPODOVA.

³⁰But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

³⁰Vem pa, da se ti in služabniki tvoji še ne bojite GOSPODA Boga. –

³¹And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

³¹In lan in ječmen sta bila pokončana: kajti ječmen je bil že v klasju in lan je poganjal glavice.

³²But the wheat and the rye were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

³²Pšenica pa in pira nista bili pokončani, ker sta pozni. –

³³And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

³³In ko pride Mojzes od Faraona ven iz mesta, razprostre roke proti GOSPODU, in nehalo je grmeti, tudi dež ni več lil na zemljo.

³⁴And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

³⁴Ko je pa Faraon videl, da je konec dežju, toči in grmenju, je grešil nadalje, in zakrknil je srce svoje on in služabniki njegovi.In otrdilo se je srce Faraonovo, in ni izpustil sinov Izraelovih, kakor je bil govoril GOSPOD po Mojzesu.

³⁵And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
