¹Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹Še mi je prišla beseda GOSPODOVA, govoreč:

²Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

²In ti, sin človečji, tako pravi Gospod Jehova zemlji Izraelovi: Konec! konec prihaja nad štiri kraje dežele!

³Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

³Zdaj prihaja konec tebi, ker pošljem jezo svojo nadte in te bom sodil, kakor zaslužiš, in spravim vse gnusobe tvoje nadte.

⁴And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

⁴In oko moje ti ne prizanese in ne usmilim se, temuč ti dam, kakor si zaslužila, in gnusobe tvoje spravim nadte. In spoznate, da sem jaz GOSPOD.

⁵Thus saith the Lord GOD; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

⁵Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Nesreča, edina nesreča, glej, prihaja!

⁶An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

⁶Konec gre, konec prihaja, zbudil se je zoper tebe; glej, prihaja!

⁷The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

⁷Usoda tvoja prihaja nadte, o prebivalec dežele! Čas je prišel, dan je blizu, dan hrupne zmešnjave, a ne radostnega vriskanja na gorah!

⁸Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

⁸Zdaj, zdaj izlijem togoto svojo nadte in dopolnim jezo svojo zoper tebe, in sodil te bom, kakor si zaslužil, in spravim nadte vse gnusobe tvoje.

⁹And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the LORD that smiteth.

⁹In oko moje ne bo prizanašalo in ne usmilim se: kakor so bile tvoje poti, tako ti poplačam, in gnusobe tvoje pripravim nadte. In spoznate, da sem jaz GOSPOD, ki tepem.

¹⁰Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

¹⁰Glej, tisti dan, glej, prihaja! Usoda tvoja je nastopila, šiba cvete, prevzetnost zeleni;

¹¹Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.

¹¹silovitost se vzdiguje do šibe brezbožnosti. Ničesar od njih ne ostane, ničesar od njih množice, ničesar od njih bogastva, in nič krasnega ne bo na njih.

¹²The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹²Čas je prišel, dan se bliža! Kupec se ne veséli in prodajalec ne žaluj: zakaj srd leti nad vso njih množico.

¹³For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

¹³Kajti prodajalec ne dobi nazaj, kar je prodano, tudi ako bi še živeli; zakaj prikazen se tiče vse njih množice, nihče se ne povrne, tudi nihče ne utrdi življenja svojega po krivičnosti svoji.

¹⁴They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹⁴Trobijo s trombo in vse pripravljajo, a nihče ne gre v boj; kajti srd moj leti nad vso njih množico.

¹⁵The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

¹⁵Meč je zunaj, kuga pa in lakota notri: kdor je na polju umre od meča, in kateri so v mestu, jih požreta lakota in kuga.

¹⁶But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

¹⁶In ubežniki, če se izmed njih rešijo, bodo na gorah enaki golobom v dolinah, vsi žalostno gruleč, vsak zaradi krivice svoje.

¹⁷All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

¹⁷Vsem obnemorejo roke in vsa kolena se razlijejo kakor voda.

¹⁸They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

¹⁸In opasovali se bodo z raševnikom, in groza jih obide in rdečica oblije vse obraze in glave jim oplešijo.

¹⁹They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

¹⁹Srebro svoje pomečejo na ulice in njih zlato se bo štelo za nesnago. Njih srebro in zlato jih ne bo moglo oteti v dan jeze GOSPODOVE; gladu si ne utešé ž njim in života si ne napolnijo: kajti bilo jim je v spotiko, da pomnože krivdo svojo.

²⁰As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

²⁰Svoje dragotine so obračali v napuh in grde podobe in ostude svoje so delali iz njih: zato sem jim jih storil v nesnago.

²¹And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

²¹In dam jih v roko tujcem za plen in brezbožnim v deželi za rop, in jih ognusijo.

²²My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

²²Odvrnem tudi obličje svoje od njih, in oskrunijo skriti zaklad moj; in razbojniki vdero vanj in ga oskrunijo.

²³Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

²³Naredi verigo! Kajti dežela je polna krvavih zločinov in mesto je polno silovitosti.

²⁴Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

²⁴Zato pripeljem najhujše izmed narodov, da posedejo njih hiše; naredim tudi konec prevzetnosti mogočnikov, in njih svetišča bodo oskrunjena.

²⁵Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

²⁵Poguba prihaja, in iskali bodo miru, a ga ne bode.

²⁶Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

²⁶Nesreča za nesrečo pride in žalostna novica za novico; in povpraševali bodo o prikazni pri prorokih, ali postava izgine duhovniku in svet starejšinam.Kralj bo žaloval in knez se bo oblačil v grozo, in roke ljudstva v deželi se bodo tresle. Storil jim bom, kakor so živeli, in jih sodil, kakor so zaslužili. In spoznajo, da sem jaz GOSPOD.

²⁷The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

²⁷Kralj bo žaloval in knez se bo oblačil v grozo, in roke ljudstva v deželi se bodo tresle. Storil jim bom, kakor so živeli, in jih sodil, kakor so zaslužili. In spoznajo, da sem jaz GOSPOD.
