¹In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

¹V letu, ko je umrl kralj Uzija, sem videl Gospoda, sedečega na prestolu visokem in vzvišenem, in vlečke oblačila njegovega je bilo polno svetišče.

²Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

²Serafi so mu stali odzgoraj, vsak je imel šest peruti: z dvema si je pokrival obličje in z dvema je pokrival noge in z dvema je letal.

³And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

³In klicali so drug proti drugemu, govoreč: Svet, svet, svet GOSPOD nad vojskami, vsa zemlja je polna slave njegove!

⁴And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁴In tresle so se podstave pragov od glasu kličočih in hiša se je napolnila z dimom.

⁵Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

⁵Tedaj sem rekel: Gorje mi, ker poginem, kajti mož sem z nečistimi ustnami in bivam sredi ljudstva nečistih usten; zakaj oči moje so videle Kralja, GOSPODA nad vojskami.

⁶Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

⁶A prileti k meni tistih serafov eden, v roki držeč živ ogel, ki ga je bil s kleščami vzel z oltarja.

⁷And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

⁷In ž njim se dotakne mojih ust in reče: Glej, to se je doteknilo usten tvojih; že je odvzeta krivica tvoja in greh tvoj je očiščen.

⁸Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

⁸In slišal sem glas Gospodov, ki je dejal: Koga naj pošljem? in kdo nam pojde? Tedaj rečem: Glej, jaz; pošlji me!

⁹And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

⁹In veli: Pojdi in reci temu ljudstvu: Poslušajoč čujte, a ne umejte, in gledajoč vidite, a ne spoznajte!

¹⁰Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

¹⁰Stóri, da se odebeli temu ljudstvu srce, in zamaši mu ušesa in zatisni mu oči, da ne bi videli z očmi svojimi in ne slišali z ušesi svojimi in ne umeli s srcem svojim, da se ne izpreobrnejo ter jim ne pride zdravje.

¹¹Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

¹¹Nato rečem: Doklej, Gospod? In odgovori: Dokler se ne opustošijo mesta, da ne bo prebivalca, in hiše, da bodo brez ljudi, in dokler ne bo dežela opustošena in zapuščena

¹²And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

¹²in Gospod ne požene daleč ljudi ter bode veliko zapuščenih krajev v deželi.In ako jih še desetina ostane v njej, pokonča se tudi ta; toda kakor od terebinte in od hrasta, ko se posekata, ostane korenika, tako je sveto seme njih korenika.

¹³But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

¹³In ako jih še desetina ostane v njej, pokonča se tudi ta; toda kakor od terebinte in od hrasta, ko se posekata, ostane korenika, tako je sveto seme njih korenika.
