1The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.

2Tako pravi GOSPOD: Glej, vode derejo sem od severa in naraščajo v preplavljajoč hudournik, da preplavijo deželo in vse, kar je v njej, mesto in nje, ki prebivajo v njem. In vpili bodo ljudje in vsi prebivalci v deželi bodo tulili.

5Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
