¹And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

¹In GOSPOD je govoril Mojzesu, rekoč:

²Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

²Govóri vsej občini sinov Izraelovih in jim véli: Sveti bodite, zakaj jaz GOSPOD, Bog vaš, sem svet.

³Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

³Vsak se boj matere svoje in očeta svojega, in sobote moje praznujte. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

⁴Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

⁴Ne obračajte se k ničevim malikom, tudi si ne delajte ulitih bogov: jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

⁵And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.

⁵In ko darujete mirovno daritev GOSPODU, darujte tako, da boste milo sprejeti.

⁶It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

⁶Použije naj se tisti dan, kadar jo darujete, in drugi dan; če pa kaj preostane do tretjega dne, z ognjem naj se sežge.

⁷And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

⁷Ako bi se pa kako zaužilo tretji dan, gnusoba je, ne bo milo sprejeto;

⁸Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

⁸a kdorkoli bi to jedel, bo nosil krivico svojo, ker je onesvetil svetinjo GOSPODOVO, in ta duša bo iztrebljena izmed svojega ljudstva.

⁹And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

⁹In ko boste želi žetev zemlje svoje, ne požanji docela obmejkov njive svoje, tudi ne pobiraj ob žetvi popuščenega klasja.

¹⁰And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

¹⁰In v vinogradu svojem ne paberkuj ter raztresenih jagod ne pobiraj; pusti jih siromaku in tujcu. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

¹¹Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

¹¹Ne kradite, tudi ne lažite in zvijačno ne ravnajte drug z drugim.

¹²And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

¹²In ne prisegajte lažnivo pri mojem imenu, da bi onečastili ime Boga svojega. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

¹³Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbor, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

¹³Ne opehari bližnjega svojega in ga ne oropaj. Plačilo najemniku tvojemu naj ne ostane pri tebi do jutra.

¹⁴Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling-block before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

¹⁴Glušca ne preklinjaj in slepcu ne stavi spotikljaja, temuč boj se Boga svojega. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

¹⁵Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

¹⁵V pravdi ne ravnajte krivično; ne oziraj se na osebo ubožčevo, tudi ne čislaj osebe mogočnikove, marveč s pravičnostjo sodi bližnjega svojega.

¹⁶Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor; I am the LORD.

¹⁶Ne pohajaj kot opravljivec med ljudstvom svojim, in v krvavo sodbo ne spravi bližnjega svojega. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

¹⁷Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.

¹⁷Brata svojega ne sovraži v srcu svojem; resno posvari bližnjega svojega, da ne boš nosil greha zaradi njega.

¹⁸Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.

¹⁸Ne maščuj se, tudi se ne spominjaj krivega zoper otroke ljudstva svojega, ampak ljubi bližnjega svojega kakor samega sebe. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

¹⁹Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.

¹⁹Postave moje ohranite. Živini svoje ne puščaj pojati se z živino drugega plemena; njive svoje ne obsevaj z dvoje vrste semenom, in oblačil, stkanih iz dvoje preje, ne oblači.

²⁰And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²⁰In kdor bi se telesno združil z žensko, ki je dekla, možu zaročena, pa nikakor ni odkupljena in tudi ne oproščena: naj se jima prisodi kazen; ne bodita umorjena, ker ona ni bila prosta.

²¹And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

²¹On pa naj prinese daritev za krivdo GOSPODU k vratom shodnega šatora, ovna v daritev za krivdo.

²²And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

²²In duhovnik naj stori poravnavo z ovnom daritve za krivdo pred Gospodom za greh njegov, ki ga je zakrivil; in odpuščen mu bo greh, s katerim se je pregrešil. –

²³And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

²³In ko pridete v deželo in zasadite vsake vrste drevesa v živež, prvo njih sadje štejte kot neobrezo; tri leta naj vam bodo kakor neobrezana, ne jejte od njih;

²⁴But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.

²⁴a v četrtem letu bodi vse njih sadje sveto, v zahvalo GOSPODU;

²⁵And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

²⁵v petem letu pa jejte njih sad, da bi se vam pomnožil njih pridelek. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

²⁶Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

²⁶Ničesar ne jejte s krvjo. Ne pečajte se z vedeževanjem, ne s čaranjem.

²⁷Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

²⁷Ne strizite si na okroglo las na glavi in ne grdite si brade ob kraju.

²⁸Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

²⁸In zaradi mrtveca si ne delajte zarez v meso in nobenih znamenj si ne vžigajte. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

²⁹Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

²⁹Ne onečasti hčere svoje, dopuščajoč, da je nečistnica, da ne bi se dežela vdala nečistovanju in se napolnila nesramnosti.

³⁰Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

³⁰Sobote moje praznujte in svetišče moje spoštujte. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

³¹Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

³¹Ne obračajte se k rotilcem mrtvih, ne k vražarjem, ne iščite jih, da bi se po njih oskrunili. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

³²Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

³²Pred sivo glavo vstani in spoštuj obličje starčkovo, in boj se Boga svojega. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

³³And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

³³In ako gostuje tujec pri tebi v deželi vaši, ga ne smete dreti;

³⁴But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

³⁴kakor vaš rojak vam bodi tujec, ki biva med vami, in ljubi ga kakor samega sebe; saj ste tudi bili tujci v deželi Egiptovski. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš.

³⁵Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

³⁵Ne delajte nič krivičnega v sodbi, pri dolgostni meri, pri tehtnici in votli meri;

³⁶Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

³⁶pravična tehtnica, poštene uteži, poštena efa in pošten hin bodi pri vas. Jaz sem GOSPOD, Bog vaš, ki sem vas peljal iz dežele Egiptovske.Pazite torej na vse postave moje in vse sodbe moje ter jih izpolnjujte. Jaz sem GOSPOD.

³⁷Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
