¹O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

¹JEHOVA, Dios de las venganzas, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.

²Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

²Ensálzate, oh Juez de la tierra: Da el pago á los soberbios.

³LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

³¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?

⁴How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

⁴¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, Y se vanagloriarán todos los que obran iniquidad?

⁵They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

⁵A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, Y á tu heredad afligen.

⁶They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

⁶A la viuda y al extranjero matan, Y á los huérfanos quitan la vida.

⁷Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

⁷Y dijeron: No verá JAH, Ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.

⁸Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁸Entended, necios del pueblo; Y vosotros fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?

⁹He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

⁹El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? El que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?

¹⁰He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

¹⁰El que castiga las gentes, ¿no reprenderá? ¿No sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?

¹¹The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹¹Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, Que son vanidad.

¹²Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

¹²Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, Y en tu ley lo instruyeres;

¹³That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹³Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, En tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.

¹⁴For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁴Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, Ni desamparará su heredad;

¹⁵But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁵Sino que el juicio será vuelto á justicia, Y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁶¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿Quién estará por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?

¹⁷Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁷Si no me ayudara Jehová, Presto morara mi alma en el silencio.

¹⁸When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

¹⁸Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala: Tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

¹⁹En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, Tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.

²⁰Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

²⁰¿Juntaráse contigo el trono de iniquidades, Que forma agravio en el mandamiento?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

²¹Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, Y condenan la sangre inocente.

²²But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

²²Mas Jehová me ha sido por refugio; Y mi Dios por roca de mi confianza.

²³And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

²³Y él hará tornar sobre ellos su iniquidad, Y los destruirá por su propia maldad; Los talará Jehová nuestro Dios.
