¹Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

¹ Ay, Bulos, ay ya Almasihu Yesu diya no, Irikoy iri Faabakwa da Almasihu Yesu kaŋ ti iri beeja lordo boŋ.

²Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

² Ay go ga tira wo hantum Timotiyos se, ay ize no da cimi cimbeeri* ra. Gomni nda suuji nda laakal kanay ma bara ni banda kaŋ yaŋ ga fun iri Baabo Irikoy d'iri Rabbo Yesu Almasihu do.

³As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

³ Ay ga ba ni ma goro Afasos kwaara ra, danga mate kaŋ cine ay na ni ŋwaaray waato kaŋ ay goono ga koy Masidoniya, hala ni ma boro fooyaŋ lordi ka ne i ma si dondonandiyaŋ waani fo dondonandi.

⁴Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

⁴ I ma si laakal ye jandey da asuli* lasaabuyaŋ kaŋ sinda me gaa mo. Woodin yaŋ no ga kande kosongu kaŋ si naŋ Irikoy goyo ma koy da jina cimbeeri ra.

⁵Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

⁵ Amma lordo wo mafaaro ga ti baakasinay kaŋ ga fun bine kaŋ ga hanan do da bine lasaabu hanno nda cimbeeri kaŋ sinda munaficitaray mo do.

⁶From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

⁶ Boro fooyaŋ mo na hayey din harta ka kamba ka furo sanniyaŋ kaŋ sinda nafa ciyaŋ ra.

⁷Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

⁷ I ga ba ngey ma ciya asariya* dondonandikoyaŋ, amma i si ga faham da haŋ kaŋ yaŋ ngey goono ga ci, da haŋ kaŋ yaŋ ngey goono ga daahirandi.

⁸But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

⁸ Amma iri ga bay kaŋ asariya ga boori da boro ga goy d'a mate kaŋ a ga hima.

⁹Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

⁹ Iri ga bay kaŋ i mana asariya te boro hanno se, amma asariya taamukoy, da murtantey, da borey kaŋ yaŋ wangu Irikoy, da zunubikooney, da borey kaŋ yaŋ si lalabu Irikoy da hay kulu kaŋ ga hanan gaa, da baaba wiikoy da nya wiikoy, da boro-wiyey sabbay se,

¹⁰For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

¹⁰ da zina-teerey, da aru-baay, da boro zaykoy, da tangarikomey, da borey kaŋ yaŋ ga ze tangari boŋ, da hay kulu kaŋ ga gaaba nda dondonandiyaŋ cimi-cimo.

¹¹According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

¹¹ Dondonandiyaŋo wo ga ti Baaru Hanna wano, kaŋ i talfi ay gaa, kaŋ fun Irikoy darza nda albarka Koyo do.

¹²And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

¹² Ay goono ga saabu Almasihu Yesu iri Rabbo se, nga kaŋ n'ay no gaabi. Ay go ga saabu zama a n'ay lasaabu naanaykoy k'ay daŋ nga goyo ra,

¹³Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

¹³ baa kaŋ waato ay ya Irikoy wanga no, da gurzugandiko, da halaciko. Amma ay du suuji zama ay na woodin yaŋ te jaŋ-ka-bayyaŋ da cimbeeri-jaŋay ra mo.

¹⁴And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ Iri Rabbi gomno mo baa gumo, da cimbeeri nda baakasinay kaŋ yaŋ go Almasihu Yesu ra.

¹⁵This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

¹⁵ Sanno wo naanaykoy no kaŋ to boro kulu m'a ta: Almasihu Yesu kaa ndunnya ra zama nga ma zunubikooney faaba. I ra mo ay ga ti ikulu ibeero.

¹⁶Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

¹⁶ Amma woodin sabbay se ay du suuji, hala Yesu Almasihu na nga suuru kuuko bangandi ay do, ay kaŋ ga ti zunubikooney kulu ibeero, zama ay ma ciya deedandiyaŋ hari borey se kaŋ yaŋ ga aniya k'a cimandi ka du fundi hal abada.

¹⁷Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁷ Sohõ, zamaney Koyo, nga kaŋ si bare ka sara, kaŋ boro kulu si di a, Irikoy follonka, beeray da darza ma bara a gaa hal abada abadin. Amin!

¹⁸This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

¹⁸ Ya ay izo Timotiyos, ay goono ga lordo wo haw ni gaa, annabitara do kaŋ i ci ni boŋ za doŋ. Woodin no ga ti, annabitaray sanney din boŋ, ni ma tangam da tangami hanna.

¹⁹Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

¹⁹ Ma cimbeero gaay nda bine lasaabu hanno, kaŋ boro fooyaŋ tuti ka hibandi ngey gaa, ka ngey cimbeero jisandi, sanda mate kaŋ cine hi ga jisi hari ra.

²⁰Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
