¹And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

¹ Waato kaŋ jama kulu na Urdun daŋandi pat, kala Rabbi salaŋ Yasuwa se ka ne:

²Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

² «Wa alboro way cindi hinka sambu jama ra, kunda fo kulu ra boro fo.

³And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.

³ Araŋ m'i lordi mo ka ne: Wa tondi way cindi hinka sambu ne Urdun bindo ra, nango kaŋ alfagey cey kay da gaabi. Araŋ ma daŋandi nd'ey araŋ banda. Araŋ m'i jisi dunkayo do, nango kaŋ araŋ ga zumbu hunkuna cin.»

⁴Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:

⁴ Kala Yasuwa na boro way cindi hinka din kaŋ yaŋ a suuban Israyla izey ra din ce, kunda fo kulu ra boro fo.

⁵And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:

⁵ Yasuwa ne i se mo: «Wa bisa Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo sundurko jine ka koy hala Urdun bindo ra. Araŋ afo kulu mo ma tondi fo sambu nga jase gaa Israyla izey kundey baayaŋo boŋ.

⁶That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

⁶ Woodin ma ciya alaama araŋ se, da haŋ fo araŋ izey g'araŋ hã ka ne: ‹Ifo ga ti tondey wo maana?›

⁷Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

⁷ Waati din gaa araŋ ma ne i se: ‹Zama i na Urdun haro dumbu k'a fay Rabbi sappa sundurko jine. Waato kaŋ a na Urdun daŋandi, a na Urdun haro dumbu. Tondey wo mo ga ti fongandiyaŋ hari Israyla izey se hal abada.› »

⁸And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

⁸ Israyla izey binde te danga mate kaŋ Yasuwa n'i lordi d'a. I na tondi way cindi hinka sambu Urdun bindo ra, danga mate kaŋ cine Rabbi ci Yasuwa se, Israyla izey baayaŋo boŋ. I daŋandi nd'ey ngey banda kala nango kaŋ i zumbu, noodin no i n'i jisi.

⁹And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

⁹ Yasuwa mo na tondi way cindi hinka sinji Urdun bindo ra, nango kaŋ alfagey kaŋ yaŋ na sappa sundurko jare din cey kay. I go noodin mo hala hõ.

¹⁰For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.

¹⁰ Amma alfagey kaŋ yaŋ na sappa sundurko jare kay Urdun bindo ra, hal i na hay kulu kaŋ Rabbi na Yasuwa lordi ka ne a ma ci jama se din ban, hay kulu kaŋ Musa na Yasuwa lordi nd'a boŋ. Jama mo cahã ka daŋandi.

¹¹And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.

¹¹ A ciya binde, waato kaŋ borey kulu daŋandi parkatak, gaa no Rabbi sundurko da alfagey mo daŋandi ka to jama do.

¹²And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:

¹² Ruben izey, da Gad izey, da Manasse kunda jara mo daŋandi Israyla izey jine, d'i wongu jinayey kulu, danga mate kaŋ Musa ci i se.

¹³About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.

¹³ Boro zambar waytaaci kaŋ yaŋ go soolante wongu se daŋandi Rabbi jine ka koy wongu. I kaa ka to batama kaŋ ga guna Yeriko do haray.

¹⁴On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

¹⁴ Han din no Rabbi na Yasuwa beerandi Israyla kulu jine, hal i humbur'a a fundi jirbey kulu me, danga mate kaŋ cine i ga humburu Musa doŋ.

¹⁵And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

¹⁵ Rabbi ye ka salaŋ Yasuwa se ka ne:

¹⁶Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.

¹⁶ «Ni ma alfagey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga seeda sundurko jare lordi ka ne i ma fatta Urdun ra.»

¹⁷Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan.

¹⁷ Yasuwa binde na alfagey lordi ka ne: «Wa fatta ka fun Urdun ra.»

¹⁸And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.

¹⁸ A ciya binde, saaya kaŋ cine alfagey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga Rabbi sappa sundurko jare fatta Urdun ra, alfagey ce taamey daganta ka jabo taamu, kala Urdun haro ye nga nangey ra, ka te bondayyaŋ sanda doŋ wano cine.

¹⁹And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.

¹⁹ Jama na Urdun daŋandi ka fatta handu sintina jirbi wayanta hane. I na gata sinji Jilgal ra Yeriko se wayna funay haray, a hirro boŋ.

²⁰And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.

²⁰ Tondi way cindi hinka din mo kaŋ i sambu Urdun ra, Yasuwa n'i sinji Jilgal ra.

²¹And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

²¹ A salaŋ Israyla izey se ka ne: «Jirbey kaŋ yaŋ go ga kaa ra, waati kaŋ araŋ izey ga baabey hã ka ne: ‹Ifo ga ti tondey wo sabaabu?›

²²Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

²² kala araŋ ma araŋ izey kabarandi ka ne: ‹Israyla na Urdun wo daŋandi laabu kogo kwaaray boŋ.›

²³For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

²³ Zama Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo na Urdun haro koosu araŋ jine, hala araŋ n'a daŋandi. A ciya mate kaŋ Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo te Teeku Cira se, kaŋ a koogandi iri jine, hal iri du ka daŋandi.

²⁴That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

²⁴ Zama ndunnya dumey kulu ma bay kaŋ Rabbi kamba ya gaabikooni no, zama araŋ ma humburu Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo mo hal abada.»
