1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

3And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
3 Kala Musa n'i donton Rabbi sanno boŋ, i ma fun Paran ganjo ra. Borey din kulu jine boro yaŋ no Israyla izey boŋ.
4And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.

16These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
16 Borey kaŋ yaŋ Musa donton i ma windi ka laabo ra guna, i maayey nooya. Musa na Nun ize Hoseya maa daŋ Yasuwa.
17And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
17 Musa binde n'i donton i ma windi Kanaana laabo ra, k'a guna. A ne i se: «Wa ziji fondo woone ra ka koy Negeb* laabo ra, ka kaaru tudey boŋ mo.
18And see the land, what it is, and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
18 Wa laabo guna, mate kaŋ cine no a bara. Wa borey kaŋ go a ra da goray mo guna, hal i gonda gaabi wala i sinda; hal i ga baa gumo, wala i si baa.
19And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
19 Wa guna mo mate kaŋ cine no laabo kaŋ ra i goono ga goro bara nd'a, hala ihanno no, wala ilaalo no, da mate kaŋ cine no kwaarey kaŋ ra i goono ga goro go, hala bukka yaŋ ra no i go, wala birni gaabikooni yaŋ ra no i go.
20And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first ripe grapes.
20 Laabo bumbo mo, wa guna hal a gonda gaabi wala a sinda, hala tuuri-nya yaŋ go no wala i si no. Araŋ ma te dabari mo ka kande laabo dumi ize fooyaŋ.» (Alwaato din mo no ga ti reyzin izey boŋ-jina waate).
21So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
21 I binde koy ka ziji. I na laabo fintal za Zin saajo gaa kal a ma koy Rehob, naŋ kaŋ boro ga furo Hamat.
22And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
22 I ziji Negeb hara ka koy to Hebron, naŋ kaŋ Ahiman da Sesay da Talmay go, Anak ize yaŋ no. (Hebron wo, i n'a cina, a to jiiri iyye za i mana Zowan cina Misira laabo ra.)
23And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
23 Borey kaa Eskol gooro ra. I na reyzin kambe fo dumbu noodin kaŋ gonda reyzin ize fafa fo. I boro hinka n'a jare goobu fo gaa. I kande garenad* da jeejay* ize yaŋ mo.
24The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
24 I na nango maa ce Eskol, reyzin ize fafa kaŋ Israyla izey dumbu noodin ka jare se.
25And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
25 Jirbi waytaaci banda no i ye ka kaa ka fun laabo fintalyaŋo do.
26And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
26 I ye ka kaa. I kay Musa nda Haruna nda Israyla izey kulu jine, noodin Paran ganjo ra, Kades haray. I kande ngey nda jama kulu se baaru. I na laabo albarka mo cabe i se.
27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
27 I ci Musa se ka ne: «Iri furo laabo kaŋ ni n'iri donton din ra. Daahir no a ga wa da yu bambari, a albarka mo neeya.
28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
28 Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ go laabo ra da goray din gonda gaabi. Kwaarey mo gonda wongu fuyaŋ kaŋ ga beeri gumo. Iri di gorzoyaŋ mo noodin.
29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
29 Amalekancey go Negeb hara ga goro. Hittancey da Yebusancey da Amorancey mo go tondey ra ga goro. Kanaanancey mo go teeko do haray, da Urdun* jarga ga goro.»
30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
30 Kala Kaleb na jama dangandi Musa jine ka ne: «Wa kaa, iri ma ziji ka koy sohõ k'a ŋwa, zama iri gonda hina ka te zaama!»
31But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
31 Amma borey kaŋ nga nd'ey koy ne: «Iri sinda hina ka wongu nda borey din, zama i ga bisa iri gaabi.»
32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
32 Hal i kande baaru laalo Israyla izey se laabo kaŋ i koy ka guna din boŋ. I soobay ka ne: «Laabo kaŋ iri koy k'a windi ka guna din, laabu no kaŋ ga nga gorokoy ŋwa. Borey kulu kaŋ iri di a ra mo, boro kuuku yaŋ no gumo.
33And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
33 Noodin iri di baa Nefilimyaŋ*, kaŋ ga ti Anak izeyaŋ, kaŋ fun Nefilim gaa. Iri diyaŋ gaa iri ga hima do-izeyaŋ. Yaadin mo no iri go i diyaŋ gaa.»
