¹Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

¹МАН намехоҳам, эй бародарон, ки шумо беҳабар бошед аз он ки падарони мо ҳама дар зери абр буданд, ва ҳама аз баҳр убур карданд;

²And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

²Ва ҳама дар абр ва дар баҳр ба Мусо таъмид ёфтанд;

³And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

³Ва ҳама айни як ғизои рӯҳониро мехӯрданд;

⁴And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

⁴Ва ҳама айни як нӯшокии рӯҳониро менӯшиданд, зеро аз сахраи рӯҳоние менӯшиданд, ки аз ақибашон меомад; ва он сахра Масеҳ буд.

⁵But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

⁵Лекин бар аксари онҳо ҳусни таваҷҷӯҳи Худо набуд; зеро ки онҳо дар биёбон ба ҳалокат расиданд.

⁶Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

⁶Ва инҳо барои мо тимсоле буданд, то ки мо бадиро орзу накунем, чунон ки онҳо орзу мекарданд.

⁷Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

⁷Ҳамчунин, монанди баъзеи онҳо, бутпараст набошед, чунон ки навишта шудааст: "Қавм ба хӯрдану нӯшидан нишастанд, ва барои рақсу бозӣ бархостанд".

⁸Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

⁸Зинокорӣ накунем, чунон ки баъзеи онҳо зинокорӣ карданд, ва дар як рӯз бисту се ҳазор нафарашон нобуд шуданд.

⁹Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

⁹Масеҳро наозмоем, чунон ки баъзеи онҳо озмуданд ва аз неши морҳо ба ҳалокат расиданд.

¹⁰Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

¹⁰Шиква накунед, чунон ки баъзеи онҳо ншква карданд ва аз дасти қиркунанда нобуд шуданд.

¹¹Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

¹¹Ҳамаи ин ба онҳо чун тимсоле рӯй дод, ва барои тарбияти мо навишта шуд, ки охирзамон насиби мо гардидааст.

¹²Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

¹²Бинобар ин ҳар кӣ гумон мекунад, ки рост истодааст, эҳтиёт кунад, ки наафтад.

¹³There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

¹³Озмоише ки ба сари шумо омадааст, ҷуз озмоиши оддии инсонй чизи дигаре нест; ва Худо амин аст, ва Ӯ намегузорад, ки шумо берун аз қуввати худ озмуда шавед, балки дар баробари озмоиш сабукӣ ҳам медиҳад, то ки шумо тоб оварда тавонед.

¹⁴Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

¹⁴Хуллас, эй маҳбубонам, аз бутпарастй бигрезед.

¹⁵I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

¹⁵Ба мулоҳизакорон сухан мегӯям: дар бораи он чи мегӯям, худатон мулоҳиза кунед;

¹⁶The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

¹⁶Оё косаи баракат, ки онро баракат медиҳем, шарик шудан ба Хуни Масеҳ нест? Оё нонеки пора мекунем, шарик шудан ба Бадани Масеҳ нест?

¹⁷For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

¹⁷Чунон ки нон яктост, мо низ, ки бисьёрем, як тан ҳастем, зеро ки ҳамаамон аз як нон ҳиссае мегирем.

¹⁸Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

¹⁸Ба Исроил ба ҳасби ҷисм нигоҳ кунед: оё онҳое ки қурбониҳоро мехӯранд, шарики қурбонгоҳ нестанд?

¹⁹What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

¹⁹Пас ман чӣ бигӯям? Оё ин ки дар қурбонии бут ё худи бут чизе хаст?

²⁰But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

²⁰Не, балки он чи онҳо қурбонй мекунанд, ба девҳо қурбонӣ мекунанд, на ба Худо; лекин ман намехоҳам, ки шумо бо девҳо шарик бошед.

²¹Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

²¹Шумо наметавонед ҳам косаи Худовандро бинӯшед, ҳам косаи девҳоро; наметавонед ҳам дар суфраи Худованд иштирок кунед, ҳам дар суфраи девҳо.

²²Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

²²Наҳод ки мо Худовандро ба хашм меоварем? Магар мо аз Ӯ пурзӯртарем?

²³All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

²³Ҳама чиз барои ман ҷоиз аст, лекин на ҳар чиз фоиданок аст; ҳама чиз барои ман ҷоиз аст, лекин на ҳар чиз обод мекунад.

²⁴Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

²⁴Ҳеҷ кас нафъи худро толиб набошад, балки нафъи дигаронро.

²⁵Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

²⁵Ҳар он чи дар бозор фурӯхта мешавад, бихӯред ва ба хотири виҷдон ҳеҷ тафтиш накунед;

²⁶For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.

²⁶Зеро ки замин ва ҳар он чи дар он аст, аз они Худрванд аст.

²⁷If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

²⁷Агар касе аз беимонон шуморо даъват намояд, ва шумо мехоҳед биравед, - аз ҳар чизе ки пешатон монанд, бихӯред ва ба хотири виҷдон ҳеҷ тафтиш накунед.

²⁸But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

²⁸Лекин агар касе ба шумо гӯяд, ки "ин қурбонии бут аст", - ба хотири касе ки хабар дод, ва ба хотири виҷдон нахӯред; зеро ки замин ва ҳар чи дар он аст, аз они Худованд аст.

²⁹Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

²⁹Аммо на виҷдони худро, балки виҷдони он каси дигарро дар назар дорам; зеро чаро виҷдони каси дигар бар озодии ман доварӣ кунад?

³⁰For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

³⁰Агар ман бо шукргузорӣ мехӯрда бошам, чаро маро барои он чизе ки ман барояш шукргузорй мекунам, мазаммат намоянд?

³¹Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

³¹Хуллас, хоҳ мехӯред, хоҳ менӯшед, ё кори дигаре мекунед, ҳамаашро барои ҷалоли Худо ба ҷо оваред.

³²Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

³²На яҳудиёнро ба васваса андозед, на юнониёнро, на калисои Худоро,

³³Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

³³Чунки ман низ дар ҳар бобат дили ҳамаро меёбам, ва толиби нафъи худ не, балки нафъи касони бисьёр ҳастам, то ки онҳо наҷот ёбанд.
