¹Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

¹АҒРИПОС ба Павлус гуфт: «Ба ту иҷозат дода мешавад, ки барои ҳимояти ҳуд сухан гуӣ». Он гоҳ Павлус дасти худро дароз карда, барои муҳофизати худ гуфт:

²I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

²«Эй подшоҳ Ағрипос! Бароиҳуд камоли хушбахтӣ медонам, ки имрӯз имконият дорам дар ҳузури ту худро аз ҳамаи айбҳое ки яҳудиён ба гардани ман бастаанд, муҳофизат намоям,

³Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

³«Хусусан ки ту аз ҳамаи расму таомулҳо ва иҳтилофоти байни яҳудиён ба хубӣ воқиф ҳастӣ. Бииобар ин аз ту хоҳишмандам, ки ҳиммат намуда, суҳанони маро бишнавй.

⁴My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

⁴«Зиндагии маро, ки аз аввали ҷавониам онро дар миёни қавми ҳудам ва дар Ерусалим гузарондаам, ҳамаи яҳудиён медонанд;

⁵Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

⁵«Онҳо аз рӯзҳои аввал маро мешиносанд ва, агар бихоҳанд, метавонанд гувоҳӣ диҳанд, ки ман мувофиқи порсотарин тариқати мазҳаби мо фарисӣ шуда рафтор мекардам.

⁶And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

⁶«Ва ҳоло барои умед бастанам ба он ваъдае, ки Худо ба падарони мо додааст, ман муҳокима карда мешавам,

⁷Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

⁷«Дар сурате ки дувоздаҳ сибти мо шабу рӯз бо ҷидду ҷаҳд ибодат мекунанц ба умеди он ки иҷрои ҳамон ваъдаро бубинанд: аз барои ҳамин умед, эй подшоҳ Ағрипос, яҳудиён маро айбдор мекунанд.

⁸Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

⁸«Чаро ба назари шумо аз ақл берун менамояд, ки Худо мурдагонро эҳьё мекунад?

⁹I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

⁹«Оре, ман ҳам пештар барои ҳуд воҷиб медонистам, ки бар зидди исми Исои Носирӣ ҳар чи зиедтар амал кунам,

¹⁰Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

¹⁰«Чӣ тавре ки дар Ерусалим мекардам: аз саркоҳинон изн гирифта, бисьёр муқаддасонро дар зиндон меандоҳтам, ва ҳангоме ки онҳоро мекуштанд, бар зиддашон фатво медодам;

¹¹And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

¹¹«Дар ҳамаи куништҳо ҳар дам онҳоро азоб медодам ва маҷбур мекардам, ки куфр бигӯянд, ва азбаски хашму ғазабам нисбат ба онҳо пурзӯр буд, ҳатто дар шаҳрҳои бегона онҳоро таъқиб менамудам.

¹²Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

¹²«Боре барои чунин амалиёт бо изн ва супориши саркоҳинон ба Димишқ мерафтам;

¹³At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

¹³«Ва инак, эй подшоҳ, дар нисфи рӯз дар роҳ нуреро аз осмон дидам, ки равшантар аз офтоб буд, ва давродаври ман ва ҳамроҳонам дураҳшид.

¹⁴And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

¹⁴«Ҳамаамон бар замин афтодем, ва ман овозе шунидам, ки ба забони ибронӣ ба ман мегуфт: "Шоул, Шоул! Барои чӣ маро таъқиб мекунӣ? Лагад заданат ба сиҳак душвор аст".

¹⁵And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

¹⁵«Ман гуфтам: "Худовандо, Ту кистй?" Гуфт: "Ман он Исо ҳастам, ки ту Ӯро таъқиб мекунӣ;

¹⁶But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

¹⁶"Аммо бархез ва бар пои худ биист; зеро барои он ба ту зоҳир шудаам, ки туро ҳодим ва шоҳид таъин намоям бар он чи дидаӣ ва бар он чи ба ту ошкор ҳоҳам кард;

¹⁷Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

¹⁷"Ва туро раҳой ҳоҳам дод аз дасти ин қавм ва аз дасти ҳалқҳое ки холо туро назди онҳо мефиристам,

¹⁸To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

¹⁸"То ки чашмони онҳоро воз кунй, ва онҳо аз зулмот ба рӯшноӣ бароянд ва аз чанголи шайтон раҳо шуда, ба Худо руҷӯъ намоянд ва ба василаи имоне ки ба Ман меоваранд, омурзиши гуноҳҳо ва насибе дар миёни муқаддасон пайдо кунанд".

¹⁹Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

¹⁹«Бинобар ин, эй подшоҳ Ағрипос, ба рӯъёи осмонӣ беимонй накардам,

²⁰But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

²⁰«Балки дар навбати аввал ба сокинони Димишқ ва Ерусалим ва тамоми сарзамини Яҳудо ва низ ба ғайрияҳудиён мавъиза менамудам, ки тавба карда, ба Худо руҷӯъ намоянд ва корҳое кунанд, ки сазовори тавба бошад.

²¹For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

²¹«Аз барои ҳамин маро яҳудиен дар маъбад дастгир карданд ва куштанй шуданд.

²²Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

²²«Аммо Худо ба ман ёр шуд, ва ман то имрӯз зинда мондаам ва ба хурду калон шаҳодат медиҳам ва гапе намезанам ҷуз он чи анбиё ва Мусо гуфтаанд, ки бояд ба вуқӯъ ояд,

²³That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

²³«Яъне Масеҳ бояд азобу уқубат кашад ва аввалин касе бошад, ки аз мурдагон эҳьё шуда, ба ин қавм ва ба халқҳо аз тулӯи нур хабар расонад».

²⁴And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

²⁴Чун ӯ ба ин тарз худро муҳофизат мекард, Фестус бо овози баланд гуфт: «Эй Павлус, ту аз ақл бегона шудаӣ! Дониши бисьёр туро девона кардааст».

²⁵But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

²⁵Гуфт: «Эй Фестуси мӯҳтарам, ман аз ақл бегона нашудаам, балки суханони ҳақиқатро бо ақли солим баён менамоям:

²⁶For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

²⁶«Зеро подшоҳе ки дар ҳузураш далерона сухан меронам, аз ин воқиф аст; ман яқин дорам, ки чизе дар ин бора аз ӯ лӯшида нест, зеро ки ин дар хилватгоҳе воқеъ нашудааст;

²⁷King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

²⁷«Эй подшоҳ Ағрипос, оё ба анбиё имон дорӣ? Медонам, ки имон дорӣ».

²⁸Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

²⁸Ағрипос ба Павлус гуфт: «Кам мондааст маро тарғиб намоӣ, ки масеҳӣ шавам».

²⁹And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

²⁹Павлус гуфт: «Аз Худо мехостам, ки ба андозаи кам ё зиёд на танҳо ту, балки ҳамаи онҳое ки сухани маро мешунаванд, мисли ман гарданд, чуз аз ин занҷирҳо».

³⁰And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

³⁰Чун инро гуфт, подшоҳ ва ҳоким, Бернико ва дигар касоне ки бо онҳо нишаста буданд, бархостанд.

³¹And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

³¹Ва онсӯтар рафта, ба якдигар гуфтанд: «Ин одам ҳеҷ коре накардааст, ки сазовори марг ё ҳабс бошад».

³²Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

³²Ағрипос ба Фестус гуфт: «Агарин одамдоварии қайсарро талаб намекард, метавонист озод шавад».
