¹Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

¹ШАШ рӯз пеш аз иди фисҳ Исо ба Байт-Ҳинӣ омад, ба он ҷое ки Лаъзори мурдаро аз мурдагон эҳьё карда буд.

²There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

²Дар он ҷо барои Ӯтаоми шом ҳозир карданд, ва Марто хизмат мекард, ва Лаъзор яке аз онҳое буд, ки бо Ӯ бар сари суфра менишастанд.

³Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

³Он гоҳ Марьям ратле аз равғани атрафшони сунбули холиси гаронбаҳо гирифта, пойҳои Исоро тадҳин кард ва пойҳои Ӯро бо мӯи худ хушконид; ва хона аз бӯи равғани атрафшон пур шуд.

⁴Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

⁴Ва яке аз шогирдонаш, Яҳудо ибни Шимъӯни Исқарьют, ки мехост Ӯро таслим кунад, гуфт:

⁵Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

⁵«Чаро ин равгани атрафшон ба сесад динор фурӯхта нашуд, то ки ба мискннон тақсим карда дода шавад?»

⁶This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

⁶Ва инро на аз барои он гуфт, ки гамхори мискинон бошад, балки барои он ки дузд буд: ҳамьёни пул дар дасташ буд, ва аз пуле ки дар он меандоҳтанд, барои худ мегирифт.

⁷Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

⁷Исо гуфт: «Вайро ором гузор; вай инро барои рӯзи дафни Ман саришта карда нигоҳ доштааст;

⁸For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

⁸«Зеро ки мискинон ҳар вакт назди шумо ҳастанд, лекин Ман ҳамеша бо шумо нестам».

⁹Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

⁹Бисьёре аз яҳудиён чун хабар ёфтанд, ки Ӯ дар он ҷост, омаданд, то ки на танҳо Исоро, балки низ Лаъзорро, ки Ӯ аз мурдагон эҳьё карда буд, бубинанд.

¹⁰But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

¹⁰Он гоҳ саркоҳинон қарор доданд, ки Лаъзорро низ бикушанд,

¹¹Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

¹¹Чунки ба хотири вай бисьёре аз яҳудиён ба он ҷо меомаданд ва ба Исо имон меоварданд.

¹²On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

¹²Фардои он, мардуми бисьёре ки ба ид омада буданд, чун шуниданд, ки Исо ба Ерусалим меояд,

¹³Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹³Шохаҳои дараҳти хурморо ба даст гирифта, ба пешвози Ӯ баромаданд ва фарьёд мекарданд: «Ҳӯшаъно! Муборак аст Подшоҳи Исроил, ки ба исми Худованд меояд!»

¹⁴And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

¹⁴Ва Исо харкуррае ёфта, бар он савор шуд, чунон ки навишта шудааст:

¹⁵Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

¹⁵«Натарс, эй духтари Сион! Инак, Подшоҳи ту бар куррае савор шуда, меояд».

¹⁶These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

¹⁶Шогирдонаш аввал ин чизҳоро нафаҳмиданд, лекин чун Исо ҷалол ёфт, он гоҳ ба хотир оварданд, ки ин чизҳо дар бораи Ӯ навишта шуда буд, ва ҳамчунон барои Ӯ ба ҷо оварда шуд.

¹⁷The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

¹⁷Ва мардуме ки бо Ӯ буданд, шаҳодат доданд, ки Ӯ Лаъзорро аз қабр хонд ва аз мурдагон эҳьё кард;

¹⁸For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.

¹⁸Ба ин сабаб низ мардум ба пешвози Ӯ баромаданд, зеро шунида буданд, ки Ӯ чунин мӯъҷиза нишон додааст,

¹⁹The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

¹⁹Лекин фарисиён ба якдигар гуфтанд: «Оё мебинед, ки ҳеҷ фоида намебаред? Инак, тамоми ҷаҳон аз паи Ӯ меравад».

²⁰And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

²⁰Дар байни онҳое ки дар ид барои ибодат омада буданд, баъзе юнониҳо буданд;

²¹The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

²¹Онҳо назди Филиштус, ки аз Байт-Сайдои Ҷалил буд, омаданд ва илтимос намуда, гуфтанд: «Эй оғо! Мо мехоҳем Исоро бубинем»,

²²Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

²²Филиппус омада, ба Андриёс гуфт; баъд Андриес ва Филиппус ба Исо гуфтанд.

²³And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

²³Исо дар ҷавоби онҳо гуфт: «Соати он расидааст, ки Писари Одам ҷалол ёбад.

²⁴Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

²⁴«Ба ростӣ, ба ростӣ ба шумо мегӯям: агар донаи гандум дар хок афтода, намирад, фақат худаш боқӣ мемонад; лекин агар бимирад, донаҳои фаровон меоварад.

²⁵He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

²⁵«Касе ки ҷони худро дӯст дорад, онро барбод медиҳад; ва касе ки аз ҷони худ дар ин ҷаҳон нафрат кунад, то ҳаёти ҷовидонӣ онро нигоҳ ҳоҳад дошт.

²⁶If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

²⁶«Ҳар кӣ ба Ман хизмат мекунад, бояд Маро пайравй намояд; ва ҳар куҷо ки бошам, ходими Ман низ он ҷо хоҳад буд; ва ҳар кй ба Ман хизмат мекунад, Падар вайро мӯҳтарам хоҳад дошт.

²⁷Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

²⁷«Алҳол ҷони Ман дар изтироб аст; чӣ бигӯям? Эй Падар! Маро аз ин соат раҳо намо! Аммо маҳз барои ҳамин соат Ман омадаам.

²⁸Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

²⁸«Эй Падар! Исми Худро ҷалол деҳ». Дарҳол садое аз осмон даррасид: «Ҷалол додаам ва боз ҷалол ҳоҳам дод».

²⁹The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

²⁹Мардуме ки дар он ҷо истода буданд, инро шунида, гуфтанд: «Раъд ғуррид». Дигарон гуфтанд: «Фариштае бо Ӯ сухан гуфт».

³⁰Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

³⁰Исо дар ҷавоб гуфт: «Ин садо на аз барои Ман, балки барои шумо омад;

³¹Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³¹«Алҳол доварӣ бар ин ҷаҳон аст; алҳол мири ин Цаҳон бадар ронда мешавад;

³²And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

³²«Ва ҳангоме ки Ман аз замин боло бурда мешавам, ҳамаро сӯи Худ хоҳам кашид».

³³This he said, signifying what death he should die.

³³Инро гуфт, то ишорат кунад, ки бо чӣ гуна марг Ӯ бояд бимирад.

³⁴The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

³⁴Мардум дар ҷавоби Ӯ гуфтанд: «Мо аз Таврот шунидаем, ки Масеҳ то абад боқӣ хоҳад монд; пас чӣ сон мегӯӣ, ки Писари Одам бояд боло бурда шавад? Ин Писари Одам кист?»

³⁵Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

³⁵Исо ба онҳо гуфт: «Боз муддати кӯтоҳе нур бо шумост; то даме ки нур бо шумост, роҳ равед, то ки зулмот шуморо фаро нагирад, ва касе ки дар торикӣ роҳ меравад, намедонад, ки куҷо меравад;

³⁶While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

³⁶«То даме ки нур бо шумост, ба нур имон оваред, то ки писарони нур гардед». Ин суханонро гуфта, Исо аз пеши онҳо рафт ва пинҳон шуд.

³⁷But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

³⁷Бо вуҷуди мӯъҷизоти бисьёре ки дар пеши назарашон нишон дод, онҳо ба Ӯ имон наоварданд,

³⁸That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

³⁸То сухани Ишаъёи набй ба амал ояд, ки гуфта буд: «Худовандо! Кӣ ба пайғоми мо бовар кард, ва бозуи Худованд ба кй ошкор гардид?»

³⁹Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,

³⁹Бинобар ин натавонистанд имон оваранд, чунон ки Ишаъё боз гуфтааст:

⁴⁰He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

⁴⁰«Чашмони онҳоро нобино ва дилҳои онҳоро сахт гардондааст, то бо чашмони худ набинанд ва бо дилҳои худ нафаҳманд ва руҷӯъ накунанд, то ки Ман онҳоро шифо диҳам».

⁴¹These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

⁴¹Чунин гуфт Ишаъё, ҳангоме ки ҷалоли Ӯро дид ва дар бораи Ӯ сухан ронд.

⁴²Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

⁴²Бо вуҷ>!ди ин бисьёре аз сардорон низ баӮ имон оварданд, аммо аз тарси фарисиён икрор накарданд, ки мабодо аз куништ ронда шаванд;

⁴³For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

⁴³Зеро ки ҷалоли мардумро бештар аз ҷалоли Худо дӯст медоштанд.

⁴⁴Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

⁴⁴Лекин Исо нидо карда, гуфт: «Ҳар кӣ ба Ман имон оварад, ба Ман не, балки ба Фиристандаи Ман имон овардааст;

⁴⁵And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.

⁴⁵«Ва ҳар кӣ Маро бинад, Фиристандаи Маро дидааст.

⁴⁶I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

⁴⁶«Ман нур ҳастам, ки ба ҷаҳон омадаам, то ҳар кӣ ба Ман имон оварад, дар торикӣ намонад.

⁴⁷And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

⁴⁷«Ва агар касе суҳанони Маро шунида, риоят накунад, Ман бар вай доварӣ нахоҳам кард: зеро наомадаам, ки бар ҷаҳон доварӣ кунам, балки ҷаҳонро наҷот баҳшам.

⁴⁸He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

⁴⁸«Ҳар кӣ Маро рад карда, суханонамро кабул накунад, доваре бар худ дорад: каломе ки гуфтам, дар рӯзи вопасин бар вай доварӣ хоҳад кард;

⁴⁹For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

⁴⁹«Зеро ки Ман аз Худ нагуфтаам, балки Падаре ки Маро фиристод, ба Ман ҳукм дод, ки чӣ бигӯям ва чй гуна сухан ронам;

⁵⁰And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

⁵⁰«Ва Ман медонам, ки ҳукми Ӯ ҳаёти ҷовидонист. Пас, он чи Ман мегӯям, хамон аст, ки Падар фармудааст, то бигӯям».
